search engine - can not restrict research

I want to limit my search to my documents from the computer with only keywords in the title only (as it was in XP). The search options (or limit a search) keep changing the time wherever you make a selection. I have limited only to my computer but it shows then all my emails and internet quick links. The option for DOCUMENTS ONLY disappears. I then try to restrict to only documents and it sends me to my business network and the Internet and MY COMPUTER DO option disappears. Arrgh! Why can't he keep the same menu? PS Help Menu is no help at all.

  • Search engine can not find my site

    Hello

I recently published my first site in Adobe Muse and I have the problem that search engines cannot find my site.

I've added keywords in all the pages of the site, (page properties), but it does not help. Is there anything else I should try to do, are there other ways to go, or what is the problem?

    Grateful for your help

    Hello

A site that appears on the google search result depends on various factors. There is no set time when the site will be indexed in google. It may take a week or a month more. You can submit your site to google webmasters tools to speed up the process, but still no accurate time.

    Now,.

There are two main factors that contribute to where your page ranks in Google for SEO (from a very simplified view). The first is the content of your page (s) correspond to the search expression specific anyone is entered into Google. And the second is the 'popularity' your site is measured mainly by how many other sites/sources contain links to your pages compared to the popularity of other sites that have a similar to the search expression correlation.

A course of 60 seconds on SEO is:

    (1) search pick expressions 3 ~ you want to optimize for. Then work to have these phrases and words in phrases appear regularly in the content of your pages, paying special attention to the names of files .html, names of image files, topics (marked with h1, h2, etc. tags), your domain name, the image's alt text, page titles, the text content of the actual pages, etc..

    (2) take advantage of Twitter, Facebook, Blogs in your industry, etc. to generate interest in your site and thus to generate links to your site.

    (3) submit your sitemap.xml to Google using Google Webmaster tools so that they are aware of your site and more likely to re - index rather sooner than later.

There are a lot more referencing, but it's a start.

  • I just installed the latest version of Firefox, and now the Google search engine will not work. Why?

I just installed Firefox 30.0 and now my search engine does not work. Is there something in the new version interfere with Google search?

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).

  • I get the message "this search engine is not supported by Firefox and cannot be installed" whenever I try to install a plugin to search on the Mozilla Add-ons site. Why?

Any search plugin I chose to install it from the list of search plugins FireFox on the Mozilla Add-ons site, I get the same error message - "this search engine is not supported by FireFox and can not be installed. I tried to delete the 3 files in my profile identified in the article on troubleshooting plugins, but it did not help. I am running Firefox with administrator privileges, but it does not help. The problem seems to be with the search plugins. I can install other extensions that are not plugins from the Mozilla Add-ons site search, but not the search plugins. I tried restarting FireFox and restarting the computer severaltimes, but I get the same error message when I try to install a search plugin.

Something is messed up on the pages of plugins MySapce AMO. Clear the URL bar and type something here (but do not hit Enter) - then you should be able to proceed with the installation of a search plugin.

    Uninstall Uniblue Powersuite.

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.  Remove everything it finds.

    Reset.

This may not fix the result, but it will eliminate what has probably caused (as well as the riders who came with her.)

  • My search engine is not to remember all the names that I type. How can I fix this problem so that the search engine will remember that I have type.

My search engine doesn't remember all the names that I type. What can I do to make it back as if it were?

Yes, it's the Google site and this entry field uses autocomplete = off, Firefox won't store form data that you enter in this field of research.

You can use the build-in on: home page as your home page that does not have this attribute.

See for a similar case with the name and password fields.

There seems to be a problem with Firefox 20 UNC paths when you use roaming profiles on a server.

The google search engine thingy next to the web address does not work. I can type stuff in there, but pushing enter or the magnifying glass does not get for research. For some reason, it seems to work perfectly on privacy, but not regular navigation. I use firefox version 4.0.1 on a laptop macbook OS 10.6.7.

  • Instructions to remove the search engine do not work, the "delete" button remains grayed out check marks independently. Is there another way that actually works?

The Firefox Support instructions below do not work in version 36. The button 'delete' is never gray State asset once the unwanted/s search engine are checked for removal. I tried one at a time and in groups, it does everything just as they suggest below.

    Delete a search engine

You can remove search engines, that you don't need by performing the following steps on the search bar in the toolbar or on the page tab.

Click the search engine icon and select Manage Search Engines... to open the search engines manager.
To remove a search engine, select it from the list, and click Remove.

If you accidentally delete a default search engine, click on restore default values to recover the default search engines.

If you accidentally delete a search engine that you installed, you must re-install it.

I found the solution, the surprisingly simple. Thanks to everyone for trying, but against all the recommendations after a new analysis of malware, virus and upgrade to the latest version released on March 5, 2015... Here is the fix:

Left click on the dropdown search button, then left click on the "change search settings." Ignore completely the checkboxes as suggested by Mozilla. The text of the search engine you want to delete to highlight in blue in the Middle, click on the grey Out button below should become active. The only function of the boxes by the search engine will make them visible or not when using the search box in Firefox. The solutions proposed by others seems logical, but I learned more than 4 decades as a technician in computer science, opt for the simple solution first. Thank you all for your suggestions, this fix works for versions 36 and 36.0.01on Windows 7. I guess it should work for other OS also.

  • How to change the sort order of the items sought for the last element of this research first. I DON'T want to say the order search engines, but the existing research by arrow down

I want to be able to change the sort order of the items, I already looked in the search box. I want to be able to hit the arrow key down and see my previous searches in order of last search showing the first. For the moment, I don't know how it is sorting and it is very annoying to have to re - enter a query that I typed 5 minutes earlier, but because I typed in another 10 since it's lost somewhere in the list. Is it possible, I Googled, but did not find the topic anywhere. Just to clarify, I DON'T mean of the order of the search engines (which is what appears in google), I mean that the text typed into which has been registered in the drop-down list.

    Thank you

'Form filling' uses a "frecency" algorithm, frequency + recency, similar to the list of AutoComplete address bar.

I found an extension that seems relevant, but critics are old, so I'm not sure it's still working: Searchbar Autocomplete Order.

But... is the AutoComplete does not? I expect that typing a few characters of the previous query would be to filter the list so that you can easily select? Or is the problem that the list does not remember quite who looking for?
