Thank you

  • On the Firefox screen, where is the black bar below the Navigation toolbar that alloweded of the specific research in 'Shopping', 'Images', 'Video', 'News', etc. Now, it appears only after a search.

If I remember correctly, old versions of Firefox had a black bar below the navigation bar on the opening screen that allowed specific searches for 'Images', 'News' 'Cards', 'Video', 'Shopping', etc.
Now this bar only appears when a search has been performed.
Is it possible to customize Firefox, so this appears on the logon screen.
The bar does not have a toolbar name.

If you want a home with extras page, and then set a different page than the homepage like www.google.com as used in versions of Firefox 3 or on the iGoogle homepage ([www.google.com/ig]).

  • Search SQL question

I have install a SQL db in my application and research works really well.  I have the onTextChanged and onTextChanging the value:

datasource.query = "Select * from items where name like searchtext.text"

I'm basically the database load and charging based on the modification of search text.

Issue I'm having is that when the user deletes a search term and that the field is empty or when I put the empty search text when he takes the object textfield visible = false.

After that, every time I try to add or update the database my app hangs.  I tried to define the list of database to refresh / reload on closign the textfield, but that doesn't seem to help.

Any idea what I can do?

Found the issue to be a bit more complicated than just my search query.  It ends up being because my list of the index was out of range.  For more information consult the solution in this thread for how I solved it and answers: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Native-Development/quot-Index-out-of-range-quot-error-on-sear...

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless: OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless does not respond after a certain time

I use my wireless OfficeJet Pro 8000 for quite awhile now, but I have a problem that I can't solve:

Initially, it works allright. But after a few hours, it seems to go to sleep. And it does not print jobs more. I have to put the printer 'off' and 'on '.  After that, it will print the work queue.

I searched a timer as issues in the web interface of the printer, but can't find anything that points to a solution.

The printer is connected wireless to my router, using a 'fixed' IP address

    Can someone help me, please?

    Thankx

These settings are to set up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers must always be assigned an IP (fixed) manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto off" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check the properties of your printers.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. If necessary and you have assigned a static IP address, try using auxiliary for the preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS server.
    5. Wireless printers work only on the 2.4 Ghz band.
    6. Make sure the printer is on the latest firmware by checking with the HP support site.
    7. Check all devices wireless in your home for interference. Check microwave, babyphones, phones, wireless and wireless alarm systems are a big culprit. Any of these will knock at your printer wireless intermittently.
    8. Make sure that your printer and router are at least 6 feet, independently of the other.

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

    1. Use a fixed wireless channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    2. Set the router to 20 Mhz only or 145Mbps router function.
    3. Always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode
    4. Disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hijack your system now and help with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).
    5. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure the SSID is NOT identical, they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.
    6. SSID broadcast should be enabled.
    7. Save all the settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.
    8. Marketing the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Windows 7/8/8.1 is discovered the system on or off?

    1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.
    2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.
    3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

Last resort effort - if your printer has an Ethernet connection, suggest you to get some adapters line and convert your Ethernet wiring for your printer.

  • Tungsten only synchronize with Outlook 2003 after receiving the new laptop

My laptop previous dead so my IT dept moved my data to a new laptop.  Our programs and data are stored on separate drives.  Palm software & data is stored on the drive program, so I lost everything related to my Palm.  I reinstalled Hotsync Manager from the original CD, but it won't sync with Outlook.  I've also upgraded to v4.1.4 but that did not help.  I also searched the Outlook Conduits by clicking Hotsync > custom in the Palm Desktop program.  I don't see the listed Outlook conduits.  When I run the Hotsync, the Palm Desktop Manager and the PDA will be synchronized, but there are nominations that have been stored in my Outlook pst file which must be synchronized with the PDA.

New operating system is Win XP Pro

When I reinstalled Palm Desktop, I don't remember being invited to select Synchronize with Outlook instead of Palm desktop.  I had to reinstall software so much with this refresh mobile, I might have forgotten.

In reviewing other synchronization assignments, I saw the recommendation for conduit PIM synchronization.  I was not able to find it.

Before upgrading to v4.1.4, I tried to re - install the CD but received a message to the effect that "the installed version is newer than the version on the CD.  The only option was to click on "OK".

Since my first posting 5/29, I found another announcement with instructions to search for a folder on the CD called 'PostInstall '.  In this folder is an exe file called OutlookSwitcher.exe.  After running this file, I was able to switch to Outlook of Palm Desktop.

Now, if I can stop the Palm to lock him up.  But that belongs to another forum.  It might be time to replace the pda.

This issue can be closed... thank you for your help.

  • noticed the same problem, my friend had 2 months in hardware of the iphone 6!

    Hello

I use the iphone 6, which is out of the now (india) warranty period. I noticed a problem on the screen detaches from the main frame around one of the edges. It's the same problem happened to one of my friends who ultimately involving more areas progresed and encrypted him a good amount of money to repair! I searched online on the issue and learned that this has happened to many! I'm pretty sure that's not due to mishandling (which can easily be checked during the inspection) atleast in my case!

I called apple in India care a couple of hours. Care agent told me that they can't do anything on this issue since his release from the warranty period (even if it's a manufacturing defect). I have a strong feeling that my question has not been properly processed there. Is not a manufacturer, selling a defective product ensuring there will be no problem in the first 6 months and declaring that they are not rsponsible for what past of the next day. It should not be considered on the side of manufacturers, it should rather be on the side of the average consumer, who spent a good amount of money to purchase!

Kindly understand that I don't have time to run in the stores of stores and calls calls! I need a solution to the authorities of apple before moving on to the Court in India on behalf of fellow sufferers!

    Thank you

    Hello

You don't talk to Apple here - it is a community of used-based technical support.

If you are unhappy with the decision that is provided by Apple, you will need to discuss the issue with them.

  • I don't want the new tab with apps opening when I open Firefox, how to fix this?

I want to just the home page to open without the new tab with a search bar on this issue.

Sometimes the home page changes are caused by a new extension or external software change your Firefox settings. These can sneak in when you install other software, as many free programs include a set of less useful things.

Could check you your extensions for the actions essential or unrecognized? Open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off. Or if it's obviously nonsense, delete.

If the button Delete is absent for an extension, you can usually find a way to remove it using the Control Panel, uninstall a program (or all what is it called now to the point Windows 8.1). By clicking on the column heading to sort by date, "installed on" is useful to find and remove unknown elements not trustworthy bundle or other additions.

Once your system is clean, your preferred homepage appears, either immediately or after the update the setting in Options?

  • Collage on Android password

I use an external (Keepass) password manager that allows me to paste passwords in login pages. Since a recent update of Firefox on Android (running 28.0.1), long press on an input field is a menu, but replaces the header bar (where the field buttons and tab search/URL) to display buttons for copy, cut, paste and search.

The issue I'm having, is that when you long press on a password field, only one option appears with the text "Save login", apparently to force the built-in Manager password to store the user name and password for the current site. This change makes it impossible to stick passwords using the standard method (hold on field). Instead, I need to use an external keyboard or a keyboard that has a CTRL key (for example, the keyboard of the Hacker) and C - V to paste the password.

Is there another way to get around this? Maybe disabling the option 'Save', or the addition of a secondary antibody 'paste' option for password fields?

EDIT: It turns out that this was not due to an app update but an addon installed, called "Mobile password manager".

Yes the problem has been resolved. I could not mark my initial solution post, if the problem is not solved. The issue was due to the "Mobile Password Manager" addon, which I deleted it.

  • Hotmail link is missing

I use Firefox 10. Recently, I spent from XP to Windows 7 clean install. When I used to open Firefox there's a black bar on top with links to maps, Gmail etc. Don't have it now. Also there was once a link to Hotmail on toolbars, it's not too. How can I get that back?

If the menu bar is hidden, then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the call of menu bar.

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".

  • I've upgraded to the new firefoc but now I can't find all the useful stuff that were there as inages. Where did you hide these?

Yep, I kept receiving system messages that my firefox browser has been exceeded that I needed to upgrade to the latest version and I finally did.

But now, all very practical features to display until the present time I open firefox all which are parties. For example IMAGES. Where they were hidden and how do I access it?

I have to say that I prefer the look and feel of Firefox before the upgrade.
Features that users use often does not have to be hidden - who likes to click on the buttons as before arriving at what should be readily available?

Versions of Firefox 4 + use a new build-in home page named Subject: House with a Google search bar on this issue (no internet access required for the loading of this page).

Whenever I open Firefox newly put back, it opens the 'Mozilla Firefox Start Page' as well as my home page in a 2nd tab. I do not use Google. I don't want it on my browser session.
