    2. Select the item in the sequence that contains the effects and animation, copy it, select the destination of the items and choose Edition > paste (Ctrl + Alt + V) attributes.

  • Tried to update in Windows Vista Home Premium, stuck in the "Configuring updates" and "reboot" loop 11/05/2011

Hello! I have a portable M-6752 Gateway under Vista Home Premium.  It was perfectly functional this morning 11/05/2011.  Then I noticed the sign (of exclamation in a circle) who said the new updates.  So I started the update and thought nothing of it.  It was until an hour later and I realize that my laptop was still updated.

Right now I am stuck in a loop between "Configuring updates: stage 3 of 3-0% complete.»  Do not turn off your computer' and auto restart.
I tried to restart in 'safe mode' and 'safe mode with network.  These attempts did not help.  I'm still stuck in the loop and my laptop is overheating.  The only thing I could do was to be able to.  Fact that several times already.
Fortunately, I have another laptop and is able to ask for help.  Can someone help me?  I'm NOT a technical person.  Thank you.

Thank you, but my laptop WAS running Service Pack 2 when this problem happened.  It has been resolved.  For anyone having this problem, here is my experience and solution.

When I found myself stuck in a loop and my laptop keeps restarting without giving an error message, it began to overheat.  I turned off.  When I turned on it again the screen "Advanced Boot Options" appeared.  I chose 'Safe Mode'.  Then, I went to "Configuring updates...". ».  Machine started himself reboot again.  It happened a few times.  Finally I had to turn the phone off again.  All of a sudden when I turned on again, the "Windows Error Recovery" screen comes on.  There is a choice, 'Launch Startup Repair'.  I chose this.  Machine asked me if it is allowed to create restore point.  Of course.  Then I GOT!  I was saved by Windows self-diagnosis program.
If you are not familiar with the screens that I mentioned, please search 'screen name' and the word 'image' as a whole.  You will see what these screens look like.
Now I realize there is another way to reach the Startup Repair.  When you turn on again, press the F8 key several times.  Which will bring you to the early Startup Options screen.  On advance Boot Options, there is a choice 'repair your computer', scroll down to this choice, press ENTER.
Turning off my machine during the restart is another way to force the "early start Options" screen appears.
I read that some do not have the "Repair your computer" option according to your PC in the screen «In advance Startup Options»  You will need to know how to get to the "Windows Error Recovery" screen.
As a last resort, you can restart Vista recovery disk.  Many manufacturers do not understand that when they send the PC for you.  However, it is available for download for free on the internet.  You can download and make your own within 30 minutes.  I hope this helps!
  • How can I configure menu to fade, so they don't slip animation?

    Hello

When I click on an icon, or open a menu, menus slide in the display, the same way they did in Windows XP. I would like that they fade. I tried to look for a setting in the performance Options, but the only setting it is "Fade OR slide menus/ToolTips in sight", and it is enabled. I remember there was an option to choose fade effect type in Windows XP, somewhere in the Display Options, according to me, but I can't find anywhere in Windows 7.

Anyone know how to change this setting? Thank you!

It seems that the dialogue with this choice is not here anymore, probably because he had other options that are no longer relevant.  However, I discovered where the option is saved.  See this page for more details:

Look at the number of bits 9: he is disabled, he uses the blade if it uses fade.  This registry key can be set manually, but it is encoded, so this great site will help you define.  Let me know if you have any problems!
Note: Please see this page on how to edit the registry: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/136393 - it's never a bad idea to do a quick backup of system restore (it takes only about 3 seconds) as well. Just type "create a restore point" in your Start menu to do so.
  • trying to get rid of a single color; would love advice

    Hello

I have a few partitions (black, horizontal bars, musical notes, treble keys, etc. - sorry, I'm not a musician so I can't be describing things exactly) I want to include in an InDesign book.  I imported these bars and notes in Photoshop and followed a video tutorial - I have tried to get rid of all the white, then I can pose this music on a background of my choice.  It worked "kind of", but it seems there are other shades of white, between the horizontal bars and around the notes themselves, so all of that/those other shades of white remained.

So... given that trying to get rid of white did not work, I have to approach it differently?  Perhaps, if black is all black even, I could get Photoshop save just black?

If it's a better approach, is a person mind give me a tip or two on how to best proceed?

    Thank you very much

    Malcolm

Place your pattern of music on a layer on your chosen background.

Then change the blending mode of the layer from Normal to multiply and the white background of the layer will disappear.

Another option, according to the shades of gray in the layer, is to double-click on the layer in the layers panel to bring up the Styles of music.

Then in the lower segment as seen here, slowly move the marker on the left

The quiz is set to once only.

Help!  What I screwed up with these settings?  I'm so confused...

    Thank you

    Lori

In SCORM 1.2, you have the choice of using the complete/incomplete state or success/failure.  In SCORM 2004, you can have two registered statutes.  So check with your administrator LMS to see if the option exists to put in place courses SCORM 2004.  If so, use it and set of Captivate options accordingly.

Looks like you may have your currently defined parameters so that as long as the user is accessing content that they get marked as adopted.  What you want, it's that they not be transferred if they pass the test.

Good so recently I accidentally leave my laptop ran out of battery. I've loaded and started upward and it's gone through an update of windows then stuck on the loading screen HP during auto restart during this process. All I see is black HP logo and the white dots circling below until after a few seconds the HP logo becomes, but the indirect approach points continue.

  • LabVIEW built of DLL in an application multi-threaded C++, need help!

I'm working on a software application which is developed mainly in C++. There is a component of this larger application, however, develop in LabVIEW (for several reasons that I dive in here). This LabVIEW code is therefore run in a C++ wrapper class that calls a built DLLS LabVIEW.

All this was fine and dandy, until we decided to multi-threaded, our C++ application for an increase in performance. Accordingly, the LabVIEW DLL now is called from multiple threads simultaneously. While this works on a functional level, it seems to create a bottleneck.  All my tests, it is resource locking occurs, such that only one thread has access to the .dll at a time. If I do the .vi used to define the dll as a non-reentrant function prototype so it's what we see. For example, say we have 3 sons all calling the same .dll method call. Thread 1, 2, 3 and all call the .dll file in a few milliseconds of each other. Thread 1 has completed the call .dll after X milliseconds. Thread 2 has finished the .dll call after 2 X milliseconds, and wire 3 full after 3 x milliseconds.

Now, changing the vi home and runs the same test, we see wire 1, 2, 3 and all end them the call of .dll in 3 x milliseconds. While the fact that they are now the same amount of time to complete you would lead to believe they are spend at the same time, the fact that it takes 3 x milliseconds as opposed to X milliseconds means that they are not.

Has anyone ever dealt with these issues before? Is it possible to play with the "delivery system" for the vi will have an effect? What happens if .dll methods while remaining attached to the same .dll are called from different threads? Same behavior? Is it a lost cause? Is there any way to make the code in a DLL only built LabVIEW run in two different threads at the same? What I understand is easily achievable with a normal (non - built LV) .dll.

Please, if anyone has any advice in this area, let me know!

    Much appreciated,
    Jesse Hurdus

    Hi jhurdus,

I know that you are working with an engineer OR this question, but I wanted to post a reply to one of your last questions.

When you use the function node library call in LabVIEW, there is the possibility to select 'Run in the user interface thread' or 'run in any thread '.  This option, according to the help file for LabVIEW (dialog box call library functions), allows the developer to pass thread library function node call from the (default) user interface thread to the thread that the VI is running.  Additional details of when you want to switch the thread of execution are in the help file.
