  Now, I'll enter the block order PO_number and enter find the button and the details of the po is extracted and it will show the details in. in the Header_block and header_block I have a field named as Expeditor and here, the user will be assing Expeditor to this po_number and click the Save button in the Detail_Block.

  You never have to the statemement IF, because there is nothing to loop if there is nothing to find.

  I work in a master detail form with controls and information in order of points; I have created a process that allows users to select a product on a tabular presentation ID and the next column is filled automatically with the Product Description.
  
  To achieve this, I followed some instructions by Denes Kubicek (http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:241), but my case is slightly different:
  
  < ul > I use a form tabular-created by Wizard, instead of manual tabular form; and < /ul >
  < ul > instead of using another page as a Popup to pass the parameter of the ROWNUM, I use a plugin called "tabular form Super LOV" which is a modified version of Super LOV the SkillBuilders who works on tabular forms. < /ul >
  
  The product ID is returned in the line by the plug-in; but in the case of the Description of the product, it is always returned in the first row; and my problem is that I don't know how to determine the line where the user clicked to call the plugin.
  
  I created an example in apex.oracle.com in case someone wants to look at:

  The app number: 1550
  
  BTW, I use Apex 4.1.1.00.23 and Oracle DB 10.3.2.

  I have two tables TableA and TableB. I struggle to write a query to get the dates of TableB (instead of TableA dates) where TableA dates don't coincide with the tableB (beginning and end).

  Example 1: For account A1234,.

  TableA got 2 rows 1/31/2014-3/3/2014 (which corresponds to TableB row), but TableA got another rank 31/01/2014 - 31/01/2014 that corresponds with the date of TableB Begin. In this case, I'm looking for output as below,

  Use TableB start and end date and combine number two rows from TableA for this account

  Remember the ABC's of the GROUP BY:

  When you use a GROUP BY clause or in an aggregate function, then all in the SELECT clause must be:

  (A) a ggregate function,

  (B) one of the expressions "group By."

  (C) adding to C, or

  (D) something that Depends on the foregoing.  (For example, if you "GROUP BY TRUNC (dt)", you can SELECT "TO_CHAR (TRUNC (dt), 'Mon - DD')").

  To ask him, there are 5 columns in the SELECT clause.  The last one is a function MAX (...); It is an aggregate, is not serious.

  The first 2 columns are also named in the GROUP BY clause, so that they are well.

  The other 2 columns, country and internal_Id do not match any of the above categories.  These 2 columns cause the error.

• Problem with the join relationship condition master / detail

  I need to join with master detail such as if there is no trace of the foreign key in detail to the primary master key, the foreign key must be attached to another column based on certain conditions in the master. For example:
  
  Control columns: pk1, rk1, rk2
  Detail of the columns: fk1, a, b, c
  
  I created a relationship with detail with the join condition, pk1 = fk1 in master.
  But according to value rk1, I actually join fk1 to rk2 in master and if the condition fails then join the pk1. I can't put this condition in the relationship that the form does not accept complex join conditions.
  
  I hope that my example has not confused everyone.

  I agree with DM, rather than using the RELATIONSHIP between the blocks that I would create logic to manually set the DEFAULT_WHERE clause on the block of RETAIL with the criteria you need to MASTER block. This can be a little difficult if you want to form work the same way if you had defined a relationship because you will have to create all the triggers event coordination. The most difficult part is to choose the right triggers to coordinate the synchronization when a user accesses a folder of master to another. For just the basics (the block of retail is questioned when the user navigates to the retail block), you could do the following:
  1. create a When-new-folder-Instance trigger on the Master block to capture the relevant details to query the block detail and define the DEFAULT_WHERE.
  2 create a trigger in a times - news - block - Instance on the block of retail to run the query on the block of retail and display the details records.

  For example:

  /* Sample When-New-Record-Instance trigger */
  DECLARE
       v_temp_where          VARCHAR2(500); /* make larger if needed. */
  BEGIN

• Failed to add new detail in the form of master detail record

  I created a simple database application from scratch by selecting the start a page master detail. This has generated a report (for the parent) and a page of form (for the child). On using the form to add a new record to the child, the following error is generated:
  
  Internal error in the routine mru: ORA-20001: error in MRU: line = 1, ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("Student" 1.) "" DELEGATE. " "" ""DELEGATE_ID"), insert"Student"1." DELEGATE values' ('DELEGATE_ID', 'CLIENT_ID', 'NAME', 'INITIAL', 'SEX', "SPECIAL_NEEDS") (: b1,: b2,: b3: b4,: b5,: b6)
  Error failed to process the update.
  
  The field 'child' in the error message is automatically hidden on the form and I guess on the generation of this form using the wizard I would have had the opportunity to link the field delegate_id to a trigger or a sequence like this seems to happen when you create a scratch from application database using other types of page. I'm new to Apex then I would be grateful if someone could let me know why this default behavior occurs.

  Now you see a list of steps sub whose "Source of primary key.

  Oh I see "Create an Application Assistant." in your message. Start with an empty application (blank page) and use the wizard to create a Page. Maybe it's the difference.

  You use what version of jdeveloper?

  Why you cannot create the component master table table-details directly by drag and drop from the data control palette. If you want to continue cannot achieve this goal, and then set the property autosubmit to the option button in a master table to true. give the name of id in the table msater. And for the details table, set the property partialtrigger to the id of the main table.

  ADF tutorials are full of sum of groovy accessor "wage Total employees of the current Department" showing master/detail.
  I need to make the sum of a column of unique view object and there is no master/detail relationship: object of a view, column, and footer Total.
  
  There are solutions, each with a downside.
  
  1. I can have a separate SumViewObject, select sum (attr) in the table. The downside is when I apply panelCollection filters to a table, the filters are not applied to the SumViewObject. So, I see the total value if no filter applied.
  2. I can calculate sum in a bean managed to access lines of the iterator. The disadvantage is that it might be enough number of rows in a table and I must RangeSize the value - 1 to seek what is not good for performance.
  3. I could try to calculate the amount in the same view as an additional line object. Not the best SQL query practice as well.
  
  So what is the solution of predered?

  define a transitional attribute in your view with the value expression:

  adf.object.findRowSetForRow("").sum ("LabourCostCurrency")

  LabourCostCurrency is the attribute that you want to calculate the total.

  Place this transitional attribute in the bottom of your column of LabourCostCurrency.
