  I understand that you are unable to AirPlay from your Mac to your Apple TV.  Here are some troubleshooting steps that I recommend to go through this problem.

  Get help

  If you do not see the AirPlay icon , make sure that your Apple TV is awake and that it meets the system requirements.

  If you do not see your Apple TV in the AirPlay menu, make sure that your Mac and Apple TV comply with the system requirementsand your software from the Apple TV is updated. Also check your firewall settings:

  1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, and then click the Firewall tab.
  2. Click the lock icon and enter an administrator name and password.
  3. Click Firewall Options.
  4. Deselect the option "block all incoming connections".
  5. Select the option "automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections.

  If your office does not look great on your HDTV, high-definition TV could apply image quality improvements that are not the best for the computer images. Check the manual of your HDTV for more information on how to adjust your HDTV settings for use with a computer. Your HD TV could offer a more appropriate display mode, such as the computer or game mode mode. Also try adjusting the HDTV settings like sharpness, retail building and noise reduction.

  I have a video that has several tracks different languages (English, French, Japanese) in my iTunes library on my iMac.

  I watch this video via the home sharing on my Apple TV 4.

  When I watch the video in iTunes on my iMac, I can easily choose what language track to listen to.

  However, I don't see any way to choose which language to use when I watch this video on my Apple TV.

  Is there a way to select the track of language on my Apple TV?

  Hello. What happens if you drag to the bottom of the remote control during playback of the video? You should see a details pane. You must then scan left for audio. Then you should be able to select the audio track, as long as the file is a format by ATV suppprted.

• How can I selectively sharing apple?

  I share an Apple ID with my boyfriend and my sister. I like to have collective playlists on Apple music with my boyfriend that we can add and subtract to, but to do that I have to share. The only problem with that is that when I turn on sharing, I get all my sisters music too. It takes a lot of storage on my phone, and I never even listen to his music. I wish I could share with my boyfriend and not my sister, but still allow my sister to be part of the 'family' and use the Apple music subscription. Any thoughts?

  Never a good idea to share an Apple ID, plan to use the family shares instead, that way you can just share the music you want.

  Seriously, is there an EASY way to choose the songs or artist on the Apple TV?

  I can't believe that it should be this hard. I am a subscriber of Apple's music is my iTunes stuff in the cloud and see Apple TV. Everything is good. Random play is ok.

  But when I want to play an album by an artist of some, that's where the trouble begins. I have the music so that if I wanted to play something of an artist who is towards the end of the list, I have to scroll through all along, that takes forever with this remote control (which I hate). I did find a work around. Do you have?

  At first, I couldn't find the name of the artists, that would help a lot of filtering. I couldn't find a way to access some letters to speed up the selection.

  If I accidentally leave the list of artists, then I find myself at the top of the list of return! It hurts...

  Apple TV app on the iPhone is ridiculous. It is only a mirror of the Apple Remote hardware. There is no additional functionality for the collection of the artist or a song directly from there.

  Please don't suggest using a mac or ios device to listen to my music, it's inpractical in my case. Apple TV should justify its price to pay by giving all round independent musicplaying service.

  It could very well be due to the changes in the Apple Radio. The free stations are no longer available, and Apple's Radio is only a part of the paid Apple's music service. I think it's possible that your vehicle control system is not configured for this change and perhaps explain why you can't access the setting on the vehicle.

  5. Select your Apple TV in the devices list, and then click on restore.

  If your Apple TV fails to restore via iTunes...

  • Check that you have properly followed the instructions for your model of Apple TV.
  • If this is not the case, already, try using a powered USB port.
  • Repeat the process, but this time try to connect the cable while iTunes is closed.
  • Repeat the process with another cable.
  • Try to restore the Apple TV on another computer at another location.
