  Go to start, right click on computer and select Properties. What is your product in system properties ID? OEM licenses will explicitly include the OEM in the product ID.

  The answer to these questions is NO! Any version of Windows is free.

  I have Thinkpad R400 preinstalled Windows Vista SP1.
