Sendin shortcuts on my desktop

I'm not able to send shortcuts to my counter top.  I know how I did it several times but now I either get a message to check to see if the disk is full or fair, he does not appear on the desktop.  What can I do?

·         You have installed new software?

You can try to simply uninstall all the software that you have installed around the time you started to see the symptoms.

·         Possible corrupted user profile.

Try to use another user account to determine if the problem is corrected. If you don't have another available user account, create a new user profile:

(1) open user accounts by clicking the ORB start > by clicking Control Panel, clicking user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain) and clicking on user accounts.

2) click Manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3) click on create a new account.

(4) type the name that you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click create an account.

If the problem is resolved in the new user account, you can follow the directions on the difficulty of a user profile is corrupted.

·         System Restore:

Perform a restore of the system to a point prior to the first occurrence.

1) click Start ORB, type System Restore in the Search box, and then click System Restore in the programs list.

(2) in the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore point, and then click on Next.

(3) in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

4) click Finish.

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

    However, Firefox load me click on the symbol of the 'world' to the left of the address of the site to make the shortcut. I have either a padlock or a symbol of binoculars (finally what looks like binoculars) and so I am unable to do what suggests the Firefox.

    Fred, all other modules worked well. I contacted the people of Tor, and they were unsure of what's going on.     2. click on properties
    3. then find and click on security

    From there, you can change the permissions.

    You can drag the favorite icon on the left end of the address bar on the desktop to create a shortcut.
    If you create an internet shortcut in this way this shortcut then gets the icon of the default browser.
    If you want a different icon (favicon) then you must assign you this icon for the shortcut on the desktop (right click: properties).
    You can usually get the favorite icon if you add 'favicon.ico' to the main area of a website (for example http://www.mozilla.com/favicon.ico ) to display favorite icon in a tab and save this image to a folder or see if you can find it in "tools > Page Info > media.
