  No problem here. Sorry it does not work for you. I am running Photoshop CS3 on a 2008 Mac Pro 8-core 2.8 GHz and a 2007 Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz without problem.

  I try to install Photoshops CS6 extended on my new computer. I downloaded the software installation and input my CS6 extended (upgrade) serial number, but it must be original CS3 Extended serial number as well. That was purchased through a box & disk before them downloads. Needless to say, I don't have the box, but I still have the program running on my old computer. Is there a way to look up while CS6 is open on the old computer?

  I had Adobe PS CS3 installed on my laptop wife.  But his HARD disk was giving problems, so I've migrated the o/s to a new hard drive to SSD.

  Now, I install the software back, I have successfully installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 and recorded it, I then tried to install the upgrade for CS3 DVD:

  Photoshop CS4, but it fails to insert the code. The code for the CS4 update is accepted OK but when it asks for the serial number for Photoshop CS3 already installed and registered, he said that this serial number is not recognized. I can't seem to work around this problem, and it is very annoying. I have received for the two versions and they were bought from reputable companys Unfortunately it was a few years ago, so probably no help now.

  The last time that happened a few years back, I contacted Adobe who talked through the process that required a different number series and another method

  You may stumble on a copy wandering cs6 somewhere, but chances are it is hacked. It is not officially for sale, anywhere. CS3 I think you can forget safely.

  That said, $10 per month gets you the updates later, future included and Lightroom thrown. Any way you calculate it is much better to manage.
