sensor on sbrio

Hello

I'm working on Dani 1.1 robot with sbRIO. How can I add/connect another sensor it and test it. Its a sensor to ultrasound (LV - EZ1 maxsonar).

Help, please.
Concerning

Hi Danish666,

What kind of bus the ultrasonic sensor work by?

The sbRIO using, there are options of communication via protocols such as wireless. If the sensor uses TCP/IP or UDP to send and receive data, then it should be possible to write a driver for LabVIEW RT to talk to the probe. The complexity and involved, this driver may need to be will depend on the sensor.

As the sbRIO works on real, should also check the compatibility between the sbRIO and time any sensor that you are wanting to plug in as drivers may have been designed for a windows OS. If it is compatible, then we can discover options such as communication to him through VISA controls.

I look forward to hear your responses.

Kind regards

I have a sbRIO-9631 in the starter kit 1.0 and I try to connect the IR sensors to provide data more detailed than the sensors to ultrasound. My sentence connects to sensors. Any help is requested, I connected sensors to the Board, but I don't know if I did it correctly. If you know some tutorials that can help me, it would be greaty appreciated. the only tutorials I've found do far are what I use additional sensors for and not how to use them.

    Hello Defested,

In the sbRIO-9631 operating instructions , that you can see on page 12, Figure 9, that the J7 connector allows you to access the analog I/o. This is where you do not use a C Series module. You can connect your sensor in several ways: CSR, NRSE and differential.

You can see the article field wiring and considerations of noise for analog signals for more information on how to wire your sensor. We recommend to use a differential connection in case you have several sensors and are concerned about the loyalty of the signals. In the case where your sensor is a floating signal source, you would want to addition of polarization resistance of AI - AI GND.

  • sbRIO-9632 5V Pin current (source)

I'm working on a robotics project and I just got the Robotics Starter Kit (DaNI).  It seems that there is two encoders pins 5V on the sbRIO-powered (but I can find no plug on encoders and present how they shoot).

I need to know if I can use the pins 5V to power the encoders that we use.  There will be, at a minimum, 3 of them on the robot at any time of the command of feedback on our custom engines.  Each of them says he'll shoot 27mA which is 9 times the amount of current that can access a normal DIO PIN.  I'm assuming that the 5V pins can do more, but I don't know how.

So, now how can the 5V several pine source?  If she can't get enough, can I, on my board custom in small groups, provide an external 5V regulated?

P.S. These can be used to power other sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, etc..

    Nathan,

5V on the sbRIO lines can virtue combined a total current of 2A.  There are more details on page 25 of the Manual.  Note that on the robot servo motor is already powered by 5V line.  In my view, that it takes something of the order of 100 to 200 my.

  • Strange behavior of pines sbRIO DIO

    Hello

I use a SHT7X temperature/humidity sensor which gives the digital output. The sensor has two digital lines, clock line and line data. The data line is bidirectional. A pull upward resistance 10 kohm through the data pin is used to excite the high data (voltage level = 3, 3V). The sensor works on an I2C (sort of) Protocol.

The digital pin (in this case the data PIN) drops sbRIO-9633 "bass" when a high is sent through the program and remains "high" (due to the lift) when a 'hollow' is sent to the PIN in the program. What is the explanation? What happens when a PIN is already high (in reason to pull it upward) and the user also sends a top to it?

If it falls to zero? Why?

Note: In the program FPGA, the data pin is configured accordingly. In other words, the output (enable and disable) parameter is set up according to its bidirectionnalite operation.

    kdm7,

I can't answer with 100% confidence that your code snippet is out of context, but yes, it seems that you should swap the case of the structure of the case. (The true case should write 'F' Set out allow and the Fals case should write "T" Set out allow).

In addition, it is probably not necessary to repeatedly write 'F' to DIO26.  Once you write 'F' DIO26 once, logic will persist until you write to DIO26 once again, no matter what happens outside on the line, DIO and determine if the output driver is enabled or disabled.

You must also understand that by using the node IO FPGA to write 'F' to DIO26 time written 'F' and allows the output.  If you want to separate the Act of writing the value of the output, then you must use the method "Set the output data" to write to the DIO line without impact on the output enable.

If you notice in the preceding two paragraphs, you can eliminate the structure case completely and just write inverted logic to "Activate the Set output" rather than having the two cases of additional logic.  You just initialize the DIO data false line before arriving at your logic.

This page of the help of LabVIEW has the best game of documentation that explains how the FPGA DIO nodes work compared to methods "Activate the Set output" and "define the output data:

  • Any special restrictions on bit I2C port on sbRIO

I know the new Robotics Starter Kit (use sbRIO 9631) and am looking to add some LEGO Mindstorm sensors the robot.

All of them use the serial I2C interfaces.

The sample code FPGA I2C OR uses the bits Port service zero 0,1,2 and 3 to generate two-channel I2C.

My question is: is there something special about these in some ports or bits?

These default port bits are already used for encoders on the RSK entries, so I need to use pieces of another port.

Can take in everything I want, or is it "acceptable" for some songs use.

Docs online anywhere where I should check out?

    Thank you.

    Phil.

These channels were chosen just for the example. You can use one of the digital lines on board to perform the I2C communication.

  • A faulty sensor of Palm rest can be disabled?

I paid £2000 + for my macbook and I now use it to influence the paper.

Long story short, my laptop (macbook pro mid 2012) was playing so I took it in the Apple store and he was diagnosed as having a sensor is defective Palm. The fix required a new logic board (£409). In addition to this the necessary battery change (a new battery requires a new keyboard and back a new apparently box!) for a total of five hundred and something books!

I was told the defective sensor itself could not be replaced and to cough up £400 + to change the Board whole logik. It's not logical for me.

You do not cut the arm because of a nail broke! It does not make sense. It is Apple design and there is clearly a defect in it and this lack of benefits Apple, not me! If you can not solve the nail then give me a new arm and charge me for the only nail (and work)!

    Beggars belief!

I have a feeling that the culprit of this fault was the battery. Not at all satisfied with this new battery. Once it loses its ability to hold % 80 of its initial charge of Apple wants your money.  Don't want to go too.

I'm currently saving up for a Laptop Microsoft I completely lost trust and confidence in Apple designs. As least I can work on it and replace parts without this kind of nonsense!

I was strongly attached to my macbook pro!

Does anyone know a way to bypass/disable rest palm sensor defective? If I disable this probe, I'm happy to take the risk and continue with monitoring software until I get my new laptop to heat.

  • Doesn't have a heat sensor on MBP

I have a 2010 MBP 13 "2.4 GHz, 8 GB, with a new battery. However, the laptop absolutely not remains on unless it is connected to the power supply. RAM upgrades and battery are authentic Apple and works correctly. Is there more than one thermal sensor in a MBP? How are to replace?

There are about a dozen sensors. Most of them are inside other elements such as the processor and certified Apple RAM DIMM. There are some that can be on the radiators and other seemingly random places. There is also a release of rpm on each cooling fan.

A bad connection of a sensor cable can cause a sensor to read his minimum or maximum and so out of reach.

    Hello

I can't use the Mac mini anymore because the fan is at full speed and kernel_task on > 300%.

I have already run a hardware test on my Mac Mini 2012 one it gave me error 4SNS/1/C0000008: TAOP - 124.

I already know that the error is the ambient temperature sensor, but I have not any suspicion where it is. Similar threads on the forums are always on MacBooks.

You know weather this sensor on the logic board or is it outside? What sensors does the Mac mini 2012 has, is there a list?

    Thanks in advance

  • 5701na stream 7: Stream 7 & sp72220 Kionix G-Sensor Driver to

    Hello
I've exhausted forums and the web looking for a method to activate the feature of merger of Kionix sensors on my two stream 7 tablets.  Everything works very well with 'Win 8.1 with Bing', but the sensors will not successfully install under Win 10.  I unpacked the SP72220 package and then unpacked the Installer "setup.exe", which contains the drivers/inf / files/reg entries etc. from batch.  But try as I can, the Fusion of sensors Kionix device does not start, instead, it reports an error 10 and remains disabled.  You name it, and I tried it.  I have re-installed the OS several times, and I've tried the drivers Win 8.1 as well as pilots Win 10.  I even downloaded several versions of Kionix and the Internet, always with the same result.  I also tried DoubleDriver similar to backup the drivers provided by a Win 8.1 install, then restore to a Win 10 install, but then again, the appliance will not start.  I really don't like win 8.1, but if the sensors does not start, then I might well have to go back to the operating system that is installed at the factory.

Has anyone seen elsewhere this behavior, and if yes, do they have a solution?  Personally, I think it's something to do with exe or batch files in the package.  It took me a while to understand the parameters in batch files, but I think Miss me something with dpinst.exe, wudfupdate, mkdevnode, etc.  I'm really at the end of my patience with that, but the tablet will be pretty unusable if the screen does not turn.  I fear not install the drivers and the mods reg from the command line, if anyone can help with order of preference.  It's going to be something that the installer is missing.

    Thank you.

It turns out that it was both "n" to win 10.  Any framework as the Kionix driver needed, simply was not available in the version "n".  The driver is installed around the silence, albeit with a prompt, box, but it finished within 10 seconds.  Previously, the box opens and you would see the framework for updated driver that passes through all the options, but not install anything.  So I'm done with Win 10 Pro 1511 February 2016, the MSDN ISO.  The only other annoyance was 8.1 Home Win activation key burned in the BIOS, which caused the Win 10 install to assume it was an upgrade of the home.  I created files EI.cfg and PID.txt and thrown on the specified USB port \Sources folder Pro with the VL activation key and everything has worked.  Thanks for the comments.

  • How can I test the proximity sensor in an Iphone?

My husband what's Iphone seems to have a proximity sensor that does not work, but I cannot say with certainty, when I talk with him on the phone to his ear is constantly hitting the keys and trying to dial numbers.  What can I do to check if the proximity sensor is bad and/or repaired?

Record a voice memo, and then listen to it through the earphone speaker. If it does not, the screen will be black when you put it next to your face (or if you cover the upper part of the screen with your hand).

  • A1410n on the motherboard heat sensors

I have a pavillion a1410n that heat on the mother sensors on board who were not properly welded.  I looked on the HP website and can not find a local partner of HP who can fix the welds.  HP wants me to spend more than 300 for the computer shipped to them to repair or replace.  Is there another alternative?  I am on a fixed income and really can't afford that much $$, but need to use my computer.

I guess he is not a technician in electronics. I suspect that your system is no longer under warranty. It was a defect of manufacturing of the motherboard.

Why not buy a new replacement motherboard. They are not very expensive. Just don't buy it at HP... too much. The link will take you to one that sells for $59. Do a Google search for the card mother a1410n and you will find more. Once you have a replacement motherboard, you can bring to your independent technician and hire to remove the old and put in the new mobo. Then, your problem is solved. Since the new mobo is exactly the same as your old it is simply a matter of plug all components (including the HARD disk) and get to the top. Are no required reinstallation of the operating system that the HAL is the same.

  • Question of TrueSuite of fingerprint - error: could not open impression fingerprint sensor

    Hello

A few days ago my TrueSuite reinstalled himself and then asked to restart the computer, which I did. But things, when I turned on the computer laptop back to reboot, TrueSuite will have to reboot again. This happened a few times, so I reset the laptop to a system restore point, I had created a few days ago.

This deleted all my fingerprints, which I don't mind, but when I go to re-register my fingerprints, it says: "error: could not open impression fingerprint sensor.»

    PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!

    Thank you.

See European driver of Toshiba for the most recent software TrueSuite to fingerprints.
Remove your old software of fingerprint of the computer and reinstall the new software downloaded from the site driver of Toshiba.

Then set it up again, create fingerprints and take advantage of the laptop.
