• Separate databases?

  Hi all.

  I have a database of our site current no BC which has elements that we do NOT want to appear in our store, but are images of archive and information on old jewellery.  From what I've seen so far, the model of excel to DB file is for inventory.  Is it possible to distinguish the elements of archives so that they are not displayed in the store without having to manually enter the information?   We have too many things to do.  Normally, I'd create a separate database for these items, but I do not know if this is possible in British Colombia.

  OR if there is a way to access the old DB off site, I could do that.  I tried to download a sample page with the login scripts and php in the header, but BC won't be them. So I think I'm able to do it in a module?  Or is that not possible?

  If you go to the admin - eCommerce - catalogues - create your catalogs. Go to a product and the tab at the top - catalogues. Set it to the product. YOU can assign several products in a range when in catalogs himself.

  Export the list of products and you will see the structure of the catalog it in the worksheet. You can add new catalogs in which do not exist and they will add in the system.

  If you have restored only a control file to restore a database THAT RMAN has no reason to change the database creation time because it assumes that you just want to restore the same database on the same site or to move it to another location (but it's always the same database). Using RMAN DUPLICATE is different.

  If it's just one large may export your data and import into an Oracle table and make your unique comparison.

  Do you think it's better to have 2 different databases for 2 applications rather than 1 DB.

  Best practices (ito multiple instances of database) is to have each instance of database on its own server separate and dedicated platform. It's not the best of ideas to have multiple instances of database on the same platform.

  But you first need to justify every application needs own database. If an OLTP application and the other a Data Warehouse, then Yes - at the level of the actual instance will probably use different database engine settings.

  But if the applications are similar, then why would you divide 2 instances of database? An Oracle instance has no idea how many different types of applications, there are... And neither she cares. From the point of view Oracle client opens a connection with it. A client sends SQL and PL/SQL calls. These must be parsed and executed. Usually one or several tables and indexes must be read and processed during this session of customer maintenance.

• Need help with simple database creation in number.

  I'm trying to create a simple database in number to capture the case IDs on my place of work. After you have entered a value in the worksheet 1 details must automatically added to sheet 2. Once the case details are entered and user click on the "submit" button (could not include in the screenshot), it should appear in the sheet 2. If number offers this feature, it would be very useful for me.

  Why don't you just enter values directly in the second table?  You could format C and D in the context Menu.

  To do this, you can add the ProcessModel DatabaseOptions callback sequence to the same sequence as your MainSequence file, and then programmatically set the Parameters.DatabaseOptions.ConnectionString based on who ATE called the shared sequence. This assumes that your shared movie file uses a process template.

  I want to create (just by script), on another server, a database of exactly similar to my db (ORCL). Then I want to generate this script. I used DBCA. But it generates files.

  The orcl.bat file name is everything and creates the necessary directories.  This is the file you are calling; You may need to modify the scripts to change the path if the ORACLE_HOME on the destination server is not the same as on the source server.

  In order to clarify. You do not use the broker to create the day before. The Broker allows you to manage a wait that you already created. There are no orders in the broker to create a database of pending. If you use Enterprise manager Grid Control, you can use it to create a database of pending which will then automatically (except if you say no) handled by the broker.   The reason why it did not work for me is internal memory MEM (built in microsd card) is required for this approach to work and 9700 doesnot have everything.

  I want to sever the two databases above.

  Someone has set up separate databases in production, and if so, can you provide a positive feedback or negative of this decision?

  I always recommend to have separate databases, for several reasons.

  With an active role, the management history database is not just a static database. It's actually the product performance data. Write to the database as we of the tasks, and then run reports by querying the actual work that has been done. In busy environments, or environments have been the history of change in retention period has been increased beyond the default of 30 days, this can mean that the execution of the SQL instance hosting the database of management history can actually be a bottleneck for performance of the product. Separate databases makes it easy to migrate the database of management resources for new equipment or a cluster if necessary more gourmet story.

  (1) again are shipped from the primary two databases on hold

  (2) again will be sent on the eve of first and second Eve will receive repeat first aid (primary will not be directly in contact with second Eve)

  Starting from your configuration.

  Two standby databases will receive repeat primary, so the donc les deux two standby will be sync will be main without delay (depends on the availability of network and the mode of production)

  The following settings seems good!

  11 g in the halls, FAL_CLIENT is not mandatory, but have control over FAL_SERVER that you have two databases on hold.

  that means srvctl config database shows? you did not indicate at what stage database creation failed / crashed.

  Check the alert.log to exact status and above the exit command to see why his complaining.
