• Lightroom CC freezes after import (February 2016)

  Since the last update of Lightroom (February 2016), it crashes after importing the photos - even a single picture. I can close the program with the X at the top right of the task bar, or by using the Task Manager. Once I open Lightroom it again my photos are there, and everything goes as usual. However, it is very annoying to have to restart every time. I have turned off graphics acceleration. Anyone has a suggestion on how to stop this bad behavior?

• Portfolio crashes when you try to build the cover page of an image imported via Lightroom sync project.

  Another problem with imported via Lightroom photos mobile sync, it's that the display full screen obtained by double clicking on the image in the project is not centered on being right-justified display.  There seems to be no way to change this behavior.

  Just tried again this morning and guess what it worked perfectly.  Only difference I can see is that Lightroom is running and who claims to be always sync when I had the problem and this morning when the problem went away Lightroom was off.  Incidentally, if you want to report bugs that you must go to the portfolio help page and ask a question.

  Hi, I do photography of the equestrian event and would use Lightroom (on a Macbook Pro) to import images, that I then need to export (to a shared folder or to a laptop via a network).

  Since I have more times between event classes, I can't afford to wait for the import to finish and then manually start the export.

  What would be perfect is a kind of action "after importing", where import completed (and request of the develop Preset, choose when importing), he would automatically go to export. But this doesn't seem to be an option in LR (yet).

  Is there another way to do this using LR? I could use another software to get the images in the system, but then I wouldn't have LR develop Presets, which I want to apply to make the images have more pop when showing them to clients.

  1. using the plugin folder shows Jeffrey Friedl (if you publish installation service - does not support exports no - publish).

  2 using the my Ottomanic importer (export after import preset - support does not publish exports of services)

• JVC Everio Audio quality after importation

  I shot a bit of video in full HD 1920 x 1080 using my JVC Everio companies. The camera pulls in mode native .tod format. I returned to .avi using AVS Video Converter. The two files play fine in VLC Player, and they look very good. After import in the first videos will only play and are great lag. They video does not match upward for audio in the window source at all. I'll put the points and output, and the video will go to the sequence in the timeline panel.   Obviously, Apple are trying to destroy iPhoto and you must use the abomination that is pictures (hideous interface and useless feature - seriously you're hiding a photo and it is still displayed in the photos - what's the point!).

  Anyway, iPhoto is still far superior, but after sierra * update * (is it really an upgrade, which makes it sound as if it was top!), in any case, after the passage at sierra when I plug my idevices in it transfers the pictures, but offers more delete them. So now I have to open iphoto, then unlock the idevice, then transfer the stuff in iphoto, then return to the idevice to remove photos ensuring that they transferred first, then quit iphoto.

  When organizing photos for Photos for Mac app, I find that the Photos makes "copies" of files within the library of Photos and must reference a file if your settings are such that you do not copy the original files in the Photos app.

  The delete after import is available only when you import a device - a camera, card, an iPhone, but not when you import files from a folder on the system drive.

  You can delete the local image files of your system drive yourself, once you have imported the Photos and they were copied in the photo library.

  I would never use the option "delete after Import. The files will be deleted until you can check if the files have been imported correctly. If you find out later, that some of the imported files are corupted and illegible, it will be repeated o toolate import, because the files have been deleted from the device. Or worse, if pictures should plant a reason any during the import, all the pictures will be lost, if you have enabled "delete after import.

  I will put in place action folder to import photos from a dropbox folder in the Photos app ideally I'd like to make these photos to be moved to the trash after importation, but the box which doesn't seem to be an option more. Is there a solution to this problem?  I am running El Capitan 10.11.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  Import Photos Panel has a check "Remove items after importing" below the toolbar. If you enable this, before importing items, they will be automatically deleted.

  You don't see this check box, because you have activated on your iPhone photo library iCloud.  As long as you use iCloud photo library, the Mac cannot delete the photos, because they are stored in iCloud and only mirrored on your iPhone.

  "Remove items after importation" is to risk anyway. I would not use this option. First, it is safer to check if the import was successful before deleting the photos from the iPhone.  Sometimes it happens that photos will be removed from the device, even if the import was not successful.

  Since all the pictures are in the library of iCloud, download them by creating a new library of Photos on your Mac and enable it in your library to iCloud.  It will download all photos in iCloud.

  You are you sure, that all the photos are safely on your Mac, disable iCloud photo library on your iPhone.  Then you can connect the iPhone to a USB port and use Image Capture to remove all the photos from the iPhone.

  You can also download pictures from iCloud by using the web interface of your iCloud to www.icloud.com account.  Launch the Photos.app on this page and select the photos to download.

  Hi, I'm new on this but I can't find an answer by reading the previous posts.

  I always was able to import my photos and click the button "erase after importing" and my photos would be removed from my phone, but recently it tells me there is an error during this operation and the pictures are still on my phone using a lot of memory. Anyone know why this feature no longer works? I'm really not what although it is complicated with my pc, everything is usually automatically when I plug in my phone. Can someone give advice?

  You have iCloud library enabled on the iPhone? (in settings > iCloud > Photos & camera)?

  So you can't delete photos from the iPhone, because they are actually stored in iCloud and only in reverse on the iPhone.

  Disable the iCloud photo library, if you want to download the pictures manually by USB.  But be sure, that optimize storage is disabled and all the pictures were downloaded again icloud before disabling iCloud photo library.
