Serial with PSP Instek-603 PSU?

Hello

I'm trying to control a PSP Instek-603 programmable power via the built in RS-232 communication. I found a thread in the forum covering this:

http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=170&message.ID=384686&query.ID=49195#M384686

However, my problem is not solved by the solution here. I tried all the things suggested it, but I'm still not able to read the PSP. After adjusting the settings for the characters of the termination, I was able to write to the instrument (I was able to adjust the parameters of the computer). I think it is very strange that the reading still does not work.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

Thanks for any help!

Clara

I am not an expert in serial communication, but in the quick reference Guide series (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371253a.pdf), you could see that the rs232 interface is not a constant 12VDC.

You must build your own null-modem cable.  The #4 pin is connected to the + 12VDC of power.  The power I used is the cheapest available on the e-store ($ 20 - 12 VDC and 40 watts). I am ashamed to show you my cable, but this should give you an idea.

  • Write to serial with VISA

    Hello everyone,

I am now looking for some time to solve my problem, but I couldn't find anything by working for me. I try for the first time to implement a communication series through the VISA screws to my arduino uno card. I was following the most simple of examples that I could find, but nothing has worked so far. I have attached my minimal example. I thought it should work really that simple...

    The thing is:

-Serial with my arduino works in principle. He does what he must do by using the Serial monitor to come with the Arduino IDE

-With the help of my vi, that nothing happens

-The number of return always 0. I thought that it should show the actual size of the buffer. If my conjecture is that the vi is simply not written anything in the buffer.

I know that there are tons of other articles on serial communicationvia visa between labview and ardunio, but I could understand them just how I use the screws should actually work.

    Anyone can see my mistake?

OK, nevermind. Of course, just after the announcement, I tried the thing that has helped: you can't have the Arduino IDE and LabView open at the same time. Both try to access the same port COM does not work... As I see it, it's my problem. Sorry for the gene :-)

  • WRT160N + RTP300 + questions with others for access with PSP and teamspeak

Seen with the RTP300 Vonage phone service, I was able to port forward to allow TeamSpeak work properly. In other words, others may join my server. I installed the WRT160N, with a secure network, to work the long side of the RTP300 last night and now nobody is able to join the server. Get the error is that the server is offline, when it is not. I went through and made the redirection of port, as directed by portforwad.com, nothing helped.

As I have had this set up prior to the installation of the new router, long set my firewall to allow this program to run/gain access.

In addition to that, my stepson is now having problems when it tries to connect to the internet with his PSP and I don't know exactly how to go about this peripheral access via the wireless router.

The IP address of your new router is 192.168.1.1.

Assuming that your RTP300 router running the IP 192.168.15.1 default, connect the router to the ethernet port RTP300 1 for the WRT160N router to the ethernet port 1 (not the Internet Port)... To connect to a computer to Port 2 of the WRT160N router...

Press and hold the reset button on your router (WRT160N) for 30 seconds... Release the reset button... Unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable... Now re - configure your router...

Access to the web interface of the router WRT160N, open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...

On the configuration in Network Configuration tab, change the IP Address of the router to 192.168.15.10, disable the DHCP server and click on save settings... Wait a while and unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable...

Your wireless router needs to be configured, and the computers connected to the wireless router should be able to access the Internet...

Hello everyone, this is my first time on this forum and I have a material question that I hope someone here could answer for me? I recently bought a HPE-240f desktop PC and I want to improve my current Radeon HD5570 1 g GPU MSI 460GTX Cyclone 768D 5/OC, but unfortunately I have a Liteon PS-5301 - 08ha PSU and it is only 300W. Can anyone here advice me what to do?

Yes, I thought that I have really don't have a 650W power supply if I want a single power graphics card Nvidia 460GTX. And more I'm low on cash at the moment so the ROSWELL PSU fits in my budget. Thanks for your help, and I'll post again if I met more problems.

  • Connection problems with Arduino

    Hi all

I try to get serial with my Arduino board, but I have a few problems. The card is programmed to read data series to turn on LEDs and switch off. It works with the monitor serial Arduino to COM4. But when I try to write similar instructions with Labview using VISA, it seems that I can't use it. I think I might be a problem with the unit. He would appear in MAX? Because I see not all devices when I open MAX. In addition, by using VISA, VISA Resourse name does not appear any device (I expected to see something like ASRL::Inst...)

    Furthermore, I use:

-Arduino duemilanove (FTDI driver version 2.60.00)

    -Labview 2009

    -Window 7

Sorry if some information is missing, it is my first time writing on the forum. If someone could give me aid, but it needs more information, please let me know.

Thank you very much for all type of help.

    Jose

You say that you use VISA, but you have installed?  The error dialog box you get would be typical of someone who has no VISA drivers installed.

I had recommended in the drivers DVD to burst again and running that.

  • Serial communication cause the crash of LabView

    Hello

I'm set to do a serial with Labview. The problem is that the program always crash (no popup error but only LabView don't freeze) when I read or write with VISA.

I work with a module converter (ADAM 4571) that convert Ethernet to RS-232/422/485. The module is mapped to the computer and the similar work as a COM port. I tested the connection with the Terminal windows and its work. This means that it is not a hardware problem.

I did the same communication a few weeks with the same material and did not have a problem. I don't understand why it does not work now.

I give my code as an attachment, but it is not something special except for the block that buffered (which is required for my module), but if I remove it the problem persists.

Does anyone have an idea what can be the problem?

    Thank you

    Jérôme

    OK, I solved the problem.

The version of the driver for the converter module mapping was not exactly right, now I change it and its work.

  • Put the new video card into m9000 with an edge

I need this m9000 to be able to output to two screens (where the office is extended and the mouse moves between).  It has an integrated video card, so I guess I'd need to purchase and install a separate to get this feature.  I've never been a video card to a computer that already has an edge - is - how complicated?

    Hello

Your PC has only a 350 Watt PSU unless you had replaced him with a bigger power supply.  The NVIDIA 450 needs a 400 Watt power supply.

This NVIDIA GT 440 1 GB DDR5 will work with a 350 Watt PSU.

Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

  • DataSocket PSP data buffering

I have a VI that writes to a shared variable of network using DataSocket.  The URL DataSocket using PSP.  I have an another VI that reads the variable shared network also using DataSocket.  I'm experimenting with buffering to see when data is lost if the writer VI writes faster than the data reader VI.  Are data layouts buffer using DataSocket with PSP in the URL?  If this isn't the case, I hope that the data will be lost.  If it is buffered, I expect data to be lost, until the buffer is full or overflowing.

A project with shared network variables and the writer and the reader VI is attached.  Read and write directly using a shared variable node and DataSocket compare the screws.  With DataSocket, I have data loss as if there is no buffering.  When you use the shared variable node, I see no loss of data.  Run the Reader.vi.  It will read as two variable network shared every two seconds.  A variable is read using DataSocket and it is read by using a variable node.  Then, run the Writer.vi.  It will write to two variables of network shared every 0.5 seconds.  A variable is written using DataSocket and one is written using a variable node.  Since the VI of the writer wrote four times faster than the drive's data VI must be buffered to avoid loss of data.  Monitor front sequence indicators buffered and the sequence of BufferedDS in the drive of VI.  Sequence of buffering is data from the variable node.  BufferedDS sequence given the read DataSocket.

PSP does not change the data in the buffer. Using the Protocol of the PSP is only ensuring that you do not lose data. For example, if the data is written, it is guaranteed to be received. However, if you replace the data before his reading, you will lose the data point in this direction. The key here is that it is a transmission without loss. Additional packets sent to the server will overwrite the data currently on the server in the order in which they are received. More information on the Protocol for the PSP is in this article:

  • GPU & PSU reinsurance - P6674Y

So, I bought a HP Pavilion P6674Y of stock in November 10 '. I never really had the image of the extreme games in my state of mind. Maybe a little WoW or CS from time to time, but that's all. Well, it seems that I have more time on my hands now which means more time for moderate gaming, much than nothing extreme.

For now, I have an ATI Radeon HD 4200 (built-in) and a power SUPPLY ATX 250W PSU. My favorite budget is $ 175 or less. Maybe a max out at $200.

I was watching a Radeon HD 6670 1 GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x 16 HDCP Ready Low Profile ready video card and a CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 MORE certified Active PFC Power Supply

I've never done any update before, because I'm not really as techsavvy I should be in this age of technology. So I guess I'm looking for reassurance. I did a lot of research, and I feel a little uncomfortable in what I chose. The power supply fits and looks like it will have all the connectors I need (not sure of the two PCI-E my GPU takes it two? I can't find this info anywhere) with extras to sell.

The GPU looks like it will work. It is PCI-E, I open slots, and it is discreet. I found the dimensions of the GPU to 7.6x4.8x1.4 inches, and it seems that I have enough space in my case. Although, honestly, I can't even imagine what would look like in the matter...

Does anyone have any comments? Whether it is with space, GPU or PSU? Still, my budget is $ 175, $200 max. I am open to any suggestions on different parts as well. I'll take any help I can get!

    Thank you!

  • Configuration problem of the mixture of the regions with and without installation of persistence of the disc causing the JSONFormatter to fail

I have trouble setting my local setup correctly with a mixture of regions with different configuration of persistence of disc.  Is a configuration problem on my end or a bug in GemFire and/or Spring GemFire data?

The configuration of my work is as follows:

    < gfe: replicated-region id = "replicatedRegion" cache-ref = "gemfireCache" disk-store-ref = "overflowOnlyDiskstore" persistent = "false" >

    < gfe:eviction type = threshold "HEAP_PERCENTAGE" = "90" action = "OVERFLOW_TO_DISK" / >

    < / gfe: replicated-region >

    < gfe:local - region id = "localRegion" cache-ref = "gemfireCache" / >

With the above configuration, I can successfully call JSONFormatter.fromJSON (json) and get a reference to a PdxInstance object.  However, when I kinda modify configuration to enable the persistence of drive on one of the regions, the call to JSONFormatter.fromJSON (json) fails.  The change is as follows:

    < gfe:local - region id = "localRegion" cache-ref = "gemfireCache" persistent = "true" disk-store-ref = "persistOverflowDiskstore"/ >

Without any additional modification, the following error starts occurring:

com.gemstone.gemfire.pdx.JSONFormatterException: could not parse JSON document: [Source: java.io.StringReader@5549f0e, line: column 26,: 6]

    at com.gemstone.gemfire.pdx.internal.PeerTypeRegistration.verifyConfiguration(PeerTypeRegistration.java:515)

    ...

Note that it is breaking while I try to get a reference to a PdxInstance, and if the code has not yet arrived at the point where I place a PdxInstance object in a region.

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Hello

JSONFormatter PDX uses as is the serialization mechanism from the Gemfire cache. As indicators of error, you must have your persistent PDX meta-data when you use PDX with an area that itself is persistent. Adjust your configuration as follows:

It will use a default for PDX record store, but you can also use a specific store if you wish.

When you use PDX, a "PDXType" is created for each class serialized with PDX and this type id is stored with the data in the region. If this region is persistent, then the PDXType, associated with this object must also be kept.
