Series to USB conversion
I have a camera that connects to the serial port on my computer. My new computer does not have a serial port, so I bought a USB series adapter. I am running Windows Vista and my computer does not recognize my device. I'm looking for a driver to install my device is recognized. Thank you.
Hello
You should check with the manufacturer of this device, as all drivers or control programs will need to come from them. And it may be a functional tool - I've seen some does not.
I hope this helps.

Series LV examples do not work with the series via USB unlike HyperTerminal
Hello
I have a camera with that one way to communicate - series via USB. With Hyperterminal, it works as expected, but none of the examples of series that come with LV gets no response. When highlighting the execution, Write function will return no error (but apparently not send anything - no visible reaction from the device), and then the Read function gets nothing (late just then, judging by the experience with Hyperterminal).
Would be grateful for any suggestion useful.
Thank you.
Indeed, they have been included; as example intends to send "* IDN? \r\n", \r\n were taken directly from there.

I'm looking for a (usb) universal serial bus controller driver for my Pavilion for computer laptop 15-ab216nz as well as the network controller
Hello:
For the usb controller, download, unzip and run the file setup.exe from the link below.
There is no information online on what model of card wireless (network controller) of your laptop is.
Thank you for posting material ID for the network controller, so I know what model wireless card it is and then I'll post the link for the driver, you need to.
To find the hardware ID, go to the Device Manager and click on the network controller who need the driver.
Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window network controller.
Now you will see a drop-down list of property and it will be set to the Description of the unit.
On this list and select the 2nd (Hardware ID).
After the first string of characters you see in the window.

Failed to retrieve Counter measures series M USB input
I have an application where I need to measure any number of semi-periodes using a counter stain in the input on a USB M Series buffer (6221). As the number of pulses is undetermined, I did the ongoing task (but a finished task with a buffer larger than the number of times my semi gives the same behavior). I start the task of counter entry and then trigger an external pulse generator. I'm getting a signal saying the external pulse generator is finished, and at this point, I know I can read back all the acquired samples.
I waited for that (for a small number of impulses) reading-1 simply give an empty array that my samples would have sat on a USB and DAQmx hardware FIFO would have no way to know about them (indeed, it is true). However, it turns out that to read a finite number of samples not initiates transfer and instead results in a time-out (even with the time set to the default value of 10 seconds). It seems that after DAQmx Read is called an additional impetus is needed to start the transfer of the buffer to the software (as if there was some kind of pipeline). However, for this application to work I need to read after the last pulse was generated so I can measure all impulses. Generate additional impetus after reading allows me to read my full buffer, but I can't afford to send an additional impetus (that would trigger my polymerization of power system pulsed) just to re-read my data.
Here's a simple reproduction VI:
I should also mention that the behavior is correct in USB x 621 (and so probably the X series as well). In other words, reading a finite number of samples is initiating the transfer (no additional impetus is needed) so I can read 1 sample followed by-1 to get all my data. Internal bus (PCI, PXI, PCIe, SMU) do not have the USB FIFO and so I'm not expecting to show the behavior either. Reproduce, you would need to run it on a key USB 622 x 625 x or x 628.
If I make the finished task and provide the correct number of pulses it works (I can just read back the desired number of only one), but as I don't know how many pulses are generated to do the continuous task or end up with many more - in both cases, it seems impossible to get all of my data back.
Does anyone have a way to initiate the transfer of a task (not bus-powered) USB M Series semi period once the source of the signal ceased to produce pulses? Hardware change (or alternatives such as the DI a timestamp change the task of detection) is not an option for me as we have several systems deployed to customers already and this input is wired for a PFI to a USB 6221 OEM line. The Size property of ask Xfer USB does not seem to be supported on USB M Series for half tasks. I also tried to interview samples available by channel (thinking maybe this could initiate a transfer) but it made no difference.
Best regards
Hello again John! Of course, push you our products on the cutting edge!
Unfortunately, in this case, this is the expected behavior. Signals Streaming technology of NOR allows we to the bus package based such as USB, Ethernet and wireless applications to high bandwidth everywhere. Unfortunately, our first generation data acquisition products to use signals Streaming technology of OR were based on the ASIC STC2 which was not designed originally with Streaming of signals OR to mind. Counters, in particular, are a special cirumstance where it's particularly weird. When you call DAQmx Read, we usually indicate to the device to send through all the necessary data that you request instead of create a maximum of size package for the best use of USB bandwidth. In the meter case, however, actually required the aircraft to send a sample of more than what you actually want. The reason for this is that we must manually check for error on the subsystem of meter conditions until we send you all data which may not be valid. Because of this, we inject an additional step in the chain of events before that data is sent across the bus to ensure that, in fact, the data we send is valid. This requires us to acquire a sample of data that we expect to kick indicating error conditions that could occur from the subsystem.
As you have noticed, this is should be a question on the USB M Series devices for. Powered by bus of devices USB M Series (USB-621 x), X series (USB-63xx) and all the features of the plugin should not have this problem.

laser jet to usb conversion cable
I have a HP laser Jet 1100 s in perfect condition and I would continue to use it with my new laptop, but I need a conversion cable which would replace the connector to a USB connector 25 pins. Y at - it a possiblity that a cable like this is available and will work.
?
R. Gale Harter
Earlier made the conversion. That's what I did. I ordered a USB adapter cable female parallel printer DB for $5,46. This allowed me to use the original printer with smart card cable. I plugged the usb connector on my laptop and windows 8 load the driver and the printer works like a charm. Can be a turn on the way to solve the problem, but it works. I want to thank you for your comments.

Series, parallel, USB ports are available in ESXi?
Hello
I am currently using the ESXi 4.0
I have read the knowledge base,
and found the step to activate the devices USB, Serial Ports and Paraller.
But it is still not able to work.
Can I know what step I'm bored or something else I don't have success install?
Please please help me on this.
If you want to use the real serial ports - you have two options:
(1) install a serial to IP device
(2) not use ESX, ESXi. ESX are supported by two parallel port forwarding and VM series

env y 4 (DV4 5300) ID of Bus series universal usb 3.0 controller
Hi all
I received my new desire 4 DV4 5300 with windows 8. I decided to install Windows 7. Everything was installed successufully, but USB 3.0 controller (USB 3.0 ports on the left do not work). I forgot to write down of the maid, the USB 3.0 controller model before I deleted Windows 8.
Can you just reply with the manufacturer, the model of USB 3.0 or any USB controller in your dv4 5300 desire (Envy 4)?
It does not matter if you're running Windows 8. I just need the information to find the right driver for the USB 3.0 controller in Windows 7.
BTW, install W7 was not really complicated. Find the drivers was :-).
Thank you.
It's Intel usb 3.0 and you can try this driver:
There is another model that has drivers Win7 and Win8 posted. You need no driver usb 3.0 for Windows 8 as he took her "native" usb 3.0 support. Windows 7 not so... needs driver.

Communication problem series with USB serial Hub
Hi, I have a communications problem when I use an NI USB - 232 (778472 - 01) adapter to control a pressure sensor. There are a lot of posts about it in the forum, but I calmly something a little different. I can't use MAX to control the instrument with the VISA test Panel. So I guess that the USB-232 driver is correctly installed. However, in labivew, even if I choose the instrument source of visa name, it always returns an error (-1073807339) when I run the program. The screenshot of the labview program is attached. Could someone kindly help me with this problem. Thank you very much.
The system is XP SP 3 Pro.
The version of Labview is 8.6.
The MAX version is 4.5.0f0.
If port by default windows settings exactly match the settings you need for communication, you can get lucky and it will work. If only one parameter is different, it won't work.
It is always better to define the parameters in your code.
Shane.

Line of two-way digital for data asynchronous series using USB-6009?
Hello
I'm rather new to the LabVIEW environment, so I'm a little confused about this.
I have a signal conditioner chip (MAX1452), which I am trying to communicate with via the digital line.
The line is a bidirectional asynchronous, half-duplex serial.
I am currently trying to put up with a USB6009, and basically what I try to do is to write digital data (1 start bit, 8 bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, TTL logic) the smart and read the answer back. Is it possible to reconfigure a digital port on the USB-6009 case between an input and an output?
Or is there a better way for me to implement this?
Thank you.
Hi Gabriel,
It is not possible to simultaneously have a digital line on a product OR be out and a digital input. It is possible using the DAQmx controls, you can create a virtual channel that is a digital output, write data and disable the task. After that, you can try to create a new virtual channel which is a digital input, read the data and disable the task. However, the USB-6009 is a simple device, so it can not support this feature.
Hope this help to get you started,

HP 500-164 Windows 7 drivers? (USB 3.0 connection and Wired)
I need Ethernet controller SM Bus controller, Bus controller series universal (USB) and (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller.
I installed Windows 7 got my wireless (AR9485 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter) and got wireless drivers on 115 installed updates using windows update, then upgraded to windows 7 ultimate. I have 2 usb 2.0 and USB 3.0 3 (I think) and need them drivers.
I have tried using auto detects and installs with hearing of AMD which would get 3.0 drivers but nothing he can not detect my operating system or of the sometihng and I also use a different graphics (no AMD) card in my CPU (I got Catalyst from AMD and Nvidia control panel well).
Driver links?
PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7812 & SUBSYS_2AE0103C & REV_03 (USB3.0thing)
PCI\VEN_1969 & DEV_1091 & SUBSYS_2AE0103C & REV_10 (Ethernet thing I can possibly get myself there is likely no)
You are the very welcome.
This ethernet driver must have worked for you in the p7-1235...
If for any reason any it is not, use the latest driver (for Windows) in the 3rd group of the ethernet drivers (AR816X QCA817X family drivers) on the link below:
