Server 2003 print spooler crashing

How do you find the pilot who crashes the print spooler?

No new drivers have been installed, or printers, all this has happened randomly.

The only error we get is the generic error messages.

Re-install WINDOWS (works until this bad update draws once again, and I can't just turn off update)

  • Cannot add a printer. Print spooler crashes. Error 0x000006be

So, I spent several hours working on this problem and nothing seems to help.

I have Windows Vista Ultimate SP1.  When I try to add a printer, properties of control server or anything else related to printing, I just got the error "windows cannot add a printer [or" server properties cannot be read "" "]." The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. »

When I restart the spooler via administrative tools/services, or from the command prompt (it's supposed to be successful) attempt to add a printer again, I get the error message 'the operation cannot be completed (error 0x000006be)' and the spooler promptly crashes again.  This just started to happen suddenly, and no not because I tried to install some any printer.  If it helps, I've been using a Dell Photo Printer 720, but I used it in the past with the same system, OS and driver without problem.

I searched for solutions in the world and so far have removed all traces of the system printer drivers in the case of a corrupted file crashes the spooler.

    So far, I have:
1 deleted all of the printers that could be uninstalled from Add / Remove programs

2 cleared out the Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86 and Windows\system32\spool\printers\ folders

    3. suppression of the subkeys in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers registry keys

4 deleted default subkeys in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors registry key

Is there something else I could do to fix this?  Is it possible that the spooler application itself has a problem?  Or have I missed something it's ruin?  Any help would be REALLY appreciated!

    Hello urrghhvista,

    Try this:

    1. click on Start> select Control Panel> in programs and features> select turn Windows features On or Off.

    2. click on sign + Print Services.

    3. Select LPD and LPR. You must remove the Internet printing Client. Restart your PC to ensure there is no error in the spooler service.

    4. try to reinstall your printer software/driver.

Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

  • Windows 7 print spooler crashes

Running Windows 7 Pro with all the latest updates...  Installed a HP 1600 with the latest HP drivers and local printing works very well.

Set the printer to be shared on the network.

Installed the latest drivers from HP on the other 3 machines with the latest operating system upgrades...  (1) Windows 7 Pro, (2) Windows 7 Starter, 3-Vista 32.

Print jobs sent from any of the 3 other computers to the shared device deepen the impression that but crash.

Jobs will not print until I have stop and restart the spooler service for printing on Windows 7 Pro machine to which the printer is physically attached.

However, I have connected the printer directly to my router and all computers can print without problem.

For me it nails down to be a problem with the Windows 7 print spooler or a parameter that it controls.

So, is this the print spooler, or is it a setting at the origin of the problem?

And, if it is a parameter, one that or those?

On the Ports tab in the printer properties on the computer that is sharing the printer, uncheck enable bidirectional.  The HP language monitor needs access to a resource that has only the local administrator.  When you restart the spooler of jobs are planned in the context of the system rather than the context to users.

    • Data recovery backups fail to advance at the beginning of the task

In the course of the incremental backup of a virtual machine, data recovery would not make progress and the backup appliance afficheraient 100% of the CPU. This situation persisted until the reboot of the device. Even after restarting the device backup, no progress was made on the incremental backup. It was the result of using the information about the last backup backup to create a new backup.

  • How to install 64-bit on a 32-bit Server 2003 print drivers

    Hello

We are going to deploy Windows 7 64 bit.  We currently have 32-bit Server 2003.  I was able to install half of the 7 64 bit drivers, but spin issues with others.  Universal drivers seem to work.  We organize HP, Xerox and Dell printers.  The error I see is. "The specified driver must be installed remotely from an x 64 Windows XP or Windows server 2003."  I can't make it work.  Any ideas?

  • Windows Server 2003 spooler is unable to continue running.

I have a windows 2003 spooler which will not be started.
History: The spooler service is running and managaing all printers on the network.  I had installed a new Lexmark printer as the last installed printer and a few days later, everything crashed.  I had to move all printers to a new server.  The existing server today Printer Spooler would stay not started and all printers no longer show in the window.
I have already stopped the service, deleted the folder printers reels in system32 and restarted the service.  When I go to the printers and Faxes folder and click "Add a printer" the service stops.  I don't get any kind of error in the event viewer.  Only the error message I get is the "operation could not be performed. The print spooler service is not running. "I also ran cleanspl.exe without effect.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lexmark drivers change dependent on print spooler, you can return the dependence on its default value with the following command (on a command line):

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

Note that there is a space after the = but none before.  After you run
the command restart the spooler with this command:

    net start spooler

  • I'm unable to install a printer - print spooler does not

I have a problem with the PC.  No printer is displayed in the Control Panel printer page. When I try to add a printer the message tells me that the print spooler does not work.  Can I also book error code: "error 0x000006e". I tried all the usual bugs without success.  Gives the print spooler to think it's on; I have reset several times and it shows, but the message I get when trying to add a printer says that it does not work.  I have attached the sfc/scannow process found no corrupt files. I tried a 'restoration' without success.

The laptop can find the printer, a Canon Pixma MP 550 and it works well but the PC just cannot find all printers in the control panel or through different programs (WORD, etc.) and will not let me add a few.  The home network seems fine and both recognize each other and I can access files on the other computer.  But on the PC, there is no printer on the network.

Grateful for the advice.  All the usual bugs have been tried.

Also, I tried the canon Pixma MP 550 "My Canon" routine Diagnostics.  It did not find the printer even when it is plugged directly into the PCUSB slot.  This could be a problem of LPT 1?  So, I don't know how to access the LPT to reconfigure.

I also opened OUTLOOK and WORD and tried to add a printer in this way, but I get the message: "the Active Domain Services are currently unavailable.

  • How to remove a printer who falls down the print spooler

    Windows 7 64 bit

My print spooler seems to be screwed in place. Initial symptom was showing no printer installed, even though I have several applications. I was able to remove all my printers except one: when I try to delete it, the print spooler crashes, thus preventing the printer are removed. The printer (and others that I was able to successfully delete) has been installed with Novell iPrint.

I've seen a few references to stop the print spooler and removing all C:\Windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS, but this place is already empty for me (with no hidden files).

Official documentation of Windows 7 to remove a printer says:

    1. Open devices and printers, click Start , and then, on the start menu, click devices and printers.
    2. Right-click the printer you want to remove, click on remove the device and then click Yes.

If you can't delete the printer, right-click again, click Run as administrator, click on remove the device and then click Yes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

I don't have an option "Run as administrator" on the printer, so I can't try that last bit.

    Any other suggestions?

I guess you tried to uninstall the software of the printer through programs and features (if there is one)?

Is there an associated service of Novell iPrint? If so, stop it, then try the previous steps.

Is it possible to raise again through iPrint installation and remove it? I'm not familiar with this program (it's been 20 years I messed with Novell).

You are an administrator on this PC? Is this printer a network printer? If so, are there other PC on which may be trying to access?

    --

    SC Tom

P.S. I don't have the option "Run as Administrator" when I right click on any printer on one of three different computers with three different operating systems, so I don't know where Microsoft came up with that one.

Print spooler print server 2008 crash with file hpb6sy2917_x64gui.dll error

This happened on 02/10/15 and happened again on 24/02/16. We have two printers that depend on this file. HP Color LaserJet 553 and HP LaserJet M604. I have over a hundred of the M604 on my network and the last time that this happened, it dominoed across the print server system.  This has also caused some spools of printing stop on end users. The only way I can get end users up is to uninstall the driver package.

This issue affects the Windows Server 2008 and windows computers 7 as well.  Try to determine why this has happened twice and determine how fixit before the rest of my Server 2008 and end down as well.

The error lies in the hpb6sy2917_x64gui.dll.

This time I had to remove the printers and drivers with a regedit. I also deleted all files in all files for 2917 in the

C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3 folder. But this time, when I reinstall the M604 M553 drivers and it lowers again print server spooler. I'm frustrated to say the least.

I tried clearing forcefully queues by deleting files in C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS

    Hello

According to the description of the problem, you work in the Windows Server 2008 domain environment. So, I suggest you to republish your query on the TechNet forum, which is run by the other IT professionals who are trained on the server issues. However, you can try to run the REG file that was downloaded in the link provided by Ramesh Srinivasan in his position, responded on June 2, 2012 in the thread link provided below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.
