Windows detects the card and install the driver, but then, it shows an error code 10 "device Can not not started. I tried the update, uninstall, reinstall, adding Lacie driver CD through the "Hardware Wizard', chaning PCI card slot by 4 to 1. But nothing has worked.   Worst case, you can resell, install a server on it, operating system etc and put it in your living room to show off :)  The case of CaseLabs looks cool, but you'll have to do the same kind of work at home get compatible (and inter compatible) parts for it.

  As I said, there is a good chance that everything will be installed and working fine... just to prepare for the unknown, when venturing off the beaten path.  If you have someone knowledgeable who can at least get you headed down a direction where there is a visibility for success, it would be useful... good luck!

  ESXi licenses is up to you, you might have bought it so that the UCS, or buy directly from VMWare, but you need to license.

  As for traffic, if you have vCenter, you can move the virtual machines using it (vMotion and/or Storage vMotion), or if not, you can perform a cold migration.
