  I have a Server Windows Essentials 2012 acting as DNS and DHCP server with a domain name for backups etc on my home network. It's that everything works fine, no errors, no problem. Works well actually, telling me when the children did not install updates or restarted.

  I have two groups of users. My sons step, 10 and 12, which I want to use OpenDNS as a provider external DNS with a policy very, very limited and my wife and me who want to use indications of root or Google DNS or any other DNS provider. Others, specific devices no user (box of the xBox, WII, Satellite, TV, CCTV etc.) can use.

  Before the 2012 server, I had a 2 k 3 server running in a virtual machine for DHCP, alone and put my wife and my devices on static reservations with the just and external DNS provider used OpenDNS as the default scope, DNS. Unfortunately different bits of domain services 2012 don't seem to work unless the server of 2012 is the first DNS server listed on client machines (backups failed. Impossible to find other local computers). Currently, this means that we are all using OpenDNS.

  What I would like is a way to say 2012 to send adult group DNS queries to another DNS provider and leave the rest at default to OpenDNS, while still having them register in the original DNS domain. Any suggestions?

• Files Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2 Hard Drive Full move

  My hard drive was full.

• Microsoft Server Essentials 2012 and 2013 Exchange

  Hello

  Customer a Microsoft Small Business SERVER 2003. We intend to upgrade.

  Only 20 users using Exchange 2003, SQL express and storage network to access shared files.

  Can I install Essentials and Exchange on the same server or do I need to separate the 2 servers, 1 with an operating system and 1 with Exchange?

  If I do not need server 2 I have to buy 2 Essentials operating systems?

• Access no longer work after the abduction of (Server Essentials 2012 R2) Direct access

  Ive been running around access to the company I work for, its been working well for almost a year.

  I removed a direct access and remote access via the menu "Roles and features" in the Server Manager, since then it is not working and when I try to Config/repair I get a message saying "anywhere access to your server is blocked.

  Ive updated the firmware on the router and the manual configuration of redirection to make sure it wasn't a problem with uPNP port

  Should I check that I can be removed when I removed direct access? Or what I need to change?

  I'm sure I did something stupid...

• Need help with Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2

  So I set up a server and I had a client computer to connect to the server without problem. I can disconnect and different users access to different folders on entry-level servers. On the following client computer, I did the same steps, but now, when that I log out, I can't change what users, I use on the server, only the one that I used when I first booted the computer. The client computer runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Any suggestions would be nice.

• When you access Server Essentials VPN 2012 site, users are unable to print locally.

  My company has a Server Essentials of 2012 in a building (A) and several Wi-wired clients and in another building (B). This is not a domain but a pattern of working group because they have a lot of PC which is not the pro version of the OS.  Both sites use routers rank consumption high range and NAT with an address range covering192.168.1.XXX.

  In building B, there is a wired multifunction printer.  Users can access the files via the VPN, but they cannot print locally.  When you're connected, ping the address of the printer fails.  If they disconnect from VPN they can print without problem.  VPN clients are configured in such a way that "use default gateway on remote network" is unchecked. "Enable NetBios over TCP/IP" is selected.

  In building A DNS is handled by the server, but in the B building, it is managed by the router.

  Is there a way around this problem?

• Nested error Server R2 2012 - "hypervisor does not work.

  Good afternoon

  I'm having some trouble from a virtual computer inside my 2012 R2 VM server. I search around the internet for a while find several articles and forums on how to configure nested visualization including the official document on these forums but I still have a problem.

  My configuration:

  Physical server running - ESXI 5.5 1623387

  Physical machine - dell R720 (2 x e5-2690 - supports the VT - X and the EPT and it is enabled in the BIOS, esxcfg confirms with '3')

  New VM - Server R2 2012, VM version 9 installation (created by the web console vmx-09)

  I added / tried every configuration option I found:

  -J' created the virtual machine console web and checked "expose hardware virtualization assisted for the guest OS.

  -I made that vhv.enable = "TRUE" in the vmx configuration

  -J' tried to add hypervisor.cpuid.v0 = 'FALSE' to the vmx configuration

  -J' tried to add vhv.allow and more vhv.enable in the/etc/vmware/config, but neither makes a difference (discovered he was not necessary later thanks to a post on this forum)

  -J' tried to set the name of guestOS to "winhyperv" in the .vmx file

  -J' tried the type parameter of "ESXi 5.x" guestOS in the thick client

  -J' set the cpu/mmu virtualiztion tick at the last

  -J' tried to set the registry values level 1 as seen here ecx

  -J' have ensured that monitor.virtual_exec = "hardware".

  -J' uninstalled the hyper-v role and reinstalled after you make these changes without result

  -J' tried an another 5.5 ESXi 1331820 host with these settings and it does not work (VT - X confirmed as well)

  -J' tried 2016 instead of 2012 R2 server and it does not work

  I think it's all the things I tried. I'm sure I've probably missed something very obvious, but any help would be appreciated.

  This specific virtual machine has not generated a vmware.log file but still one of my virtual machines to test (with the same exact questions on the second physical host) has generated a couple and I enclose you one of them, and more can be provided if necessary.

  It seems that the latest Hyper-V does not like hardware virtual version 10.  However, it seems not be satisfied with version 11 of virtual equipment.

• Server R2 2012 crashing when you deploy the stand-alone host model.

  I encountered a problem with my server 2012 model deployment to a new independent host that I built in my virtual data center.

  Specification of the server:

  HP DL380 g8 linking the latest PSP firmware updates

  Local storage

  ESXi 5.5 U2 may 2015 HP build

  Card 8 GB SD for esxi 1.9 local TB SAS storage

  HP P420i

  Whenever I have move R2 server in 2012 to that Server Manager host down and other questions are noticed.

  Another noticed is characters and text on the virtual machine begins to blurr from the console.

  If I power off the virtual computer and move it to a server in my group I have no problem. Both servers are running the same version of 5.5U2

  Has anyone seen this problem before or suggestions?

  The result of more tweaks and troubleshooting exposed a faulty processor.

  This isn't linked VM.

  ICH habe einen Windows Server R2 2012 acquired, den ich mit ob virtuellen iSCSI drive Assembly konfiguriert habe.

  In meiner environment are offers drei Essentials ESXi server. 1 x 5.5 Version und 2 x Version 4.0!

  Die Version 5.5 konnte ich problemlos mit dem iSCSI drive Assembly auf dem Windows Server R2 2012 verbinden.

  Nur unter den Versionen 4.0 independent keine drives. Die über IQN ist available connection. doch're keine Geräte werden in der Übersicht displaying.

  Einzigste der Unterschied, der mir zur Version 5.5 auffiel ist der, dass ich sleeps noch eine weitere Konfigurationsmoglichkeit habe, die mir allows, die Netzwerkkarte correspondingly portals zu fugen über die der iSCSI data traffic laufen soll.

  These Reiter habe ich nicht bei ESXi 4.0. Konnte are daran liegen? Oder habe ich noch eine Einstellung vergessen will?

  Sie hat mir village. STIs are die nicht die Lösung war. Sie hat mich der auf die Fahrte gebracht right. Und zwar ich den Namen-DNS of Zielservers im tab had discovered dynamic angegeben. Diesen konnte er nicht auflosen und fand somit kein drive Assembly. Depending on ich die angab IP, fand er auch die body. :-)

• Adobe Reader DC contains errors and crashes with Windows Server R2 2012

  We have recently installed Adobe Reader DC Adobe version on our servers Windows Server R2 2012 and have problems since its launch. Few of the questions that we have seen are as follows:

  1. This version is a little awkward and crashes.
  2. A lot of pop up boxes that appears whenever I open a document.
  3. Whenever I open a document it is a box pop up welcome
  4. It is a little slow to respond between clicks
  5. If I click on options like file. The application hangs and then crashes. (see crash message attachment)

  Any help to solve this problem would be useful.

  Questions for users confronted with this question:

  1. do you have the preview pane enabled in file Explorer? If so, you can temporarily disable it to see if the problem goes away? On Windows 8, in Explorer, go to the view tab, and if you press the button "Preview Pane", UN-press it. On Windows 7, upwards to the right (to the left of the help icon) there is a button "show preview pane." UN-press it.

  2. ensure that the following directories exist on your machine. If this isn't the case, please create them:

  C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\ToolsSearchCacheAcro

  C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\ToolsSearchCacheRdr

  Replace USERNAME with your username.

  Is - do this 1 or 2 to solve this problem?
