Server java Connector running as a service

Hello

We want to run the server java connector DBAT as a service (just as we have for .net server connector) on a Windows Server instead of from, he command prompt and opening windows all the time. Anyone working on this before?

Is there a way we can achieve?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hey Kevin,

I was able to start JavaConnector server as a Windows service by

(1) install the 32-bit JRE folder C:\Java

(2) pointing environmental variables to the location of java (JAVA_HOME and JRE_HOME)

(3) copy the server java connector on C:\ConnectorServer media

and execution of the install of connectorserver.bat from the elevated command prompt.

Thank you

  • Use the java connector for the connector database?

    Hello

I'm running on IOM 11gr2ps2 and need to use the database connector.  We installed the .net connector server to operate with the connector AD.

The Oracle of https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E22999_01/doc.111/e20277.pdf documentation gives us an option to either install a java connector server to work with the database connector or install the IOM database connector without using a java connector server.

The documentation says "execution of a connector on the connector server.

as defined by the connector server.

As I already have a connector server .net for AD, I would lean towards the installation of the java connector server.  In this way architecture remains consistent.

    Please, share your ideas.

Table of database connector uses the Java Connector server, or it can be deployed directly in the container of the IOM.  If you have problems jar or different library due to database formats, you can use the connector server to isolate libraries and do not have to figure out how to make IOM in collaboration with several libraries.  It can also take some of the load on your server to IOM for the transformation.  I suggest to use the server connector for the isolation of the newspaper as well.

  • Conversion back Office Documents using Java JDK running under Linux

I need to convert Office Documents using Java JDK running in the Linux VM to PDF without human interaction, is this possible? How?

It could be a service web or other solutions, but it should work on Linux and must be callable from java.

You shot yourself in the foot because with accuracy of conversion of Office documents requires Office. Which requires Mac or Windows (preferably Windows). Solution server of Adobe's LiveCycle PDF generator. Has a Java interface, but you will need Windows server for it.

  • vWorkspace 7.6. Java Connector and JRE update 31 8

    Hello

After the release of JRE 8 31 update (which, by default, disable ssl 3.0) Clients cannot connect through it security more.

disable SSL connect 3.0 on the server through the registry-> no connector Java or Windows.

    HKey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders \SCHANNEL\Protocols\SSL 3.0\Server

I use pnsslcli.dll Version 8.0.306.1565 (updated to 8.1 Support Windows Clients)

I also tried to replace the Java Client with the latest Jar-files of 8.5 Java Connector, without success.

Currently, I advise users to use the Windows connector or stay with Java update 25 8.

    concerning

    Markus

    Hi Markus,.

Ok. As Andrew said, if you disable SSLv3 on the gateway Secure-IT machine, then you need the appropriate version of the connector: 8.0 build 1565 or 8.5. What about Java - I stay away from it and use a platform-specific connector (Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android) instead.

Java Connector is used usually when nothing else does not work or there are problems to get a suitable connector installed on the client computer (as the version of the OS not supported).

  • Run the UCM Service using custom

    Hello

I was looking for information how to run the service from the Complutense University of MADRID by composing personalized and found some articles about the same:

    http://jonathanhult.com/blog/2012/06/execute-a-service-from-a-Java-filter/

    http://jonathanhult.com/blog/2012/10/who-created-that-site-Studio-section/

    http://www.redstonecontentsolutions.com/5/post/2012/05/executing-a-service-from-aservicehandler.html#sthash.X31M6ZCS.tvlE83Km.DPBS

I'm new to webcenter content and could not understand above blog stuff correctly. Queries:

    1. we make use of the service of the University Complutense of MADRID to filter, Service or ServiceHandler. Is there a difference in the code required to perform a service?

    2. What is the correct code to run the UCM service?

No, but your custom component can have html resources (including) and html templates that can contain some iDocScript. And there, you can use this way.

For the complete list, a service can also directly call subservices just the way it is defined - a personalized service is defined in the .hda file and it can contain a line containing such a call.

As you are new to the WebCenter content, I recommend you use the component wizard. You must also be familiar with the creation of custom components before you dive into programming (and the functionality of the system as it is, because very often, people develop functionality that is already there).

  • Needs of the company to run for Regional service rule Migration

We have issues with the server of the Regional service in one of the env, it is offline. The user wants to access this env BR, so server EAS must run to migrate these BR using LCM or LCM would connect with the database for the migration repository.

If you use the LCM, you don't have to have EAS running. However, HBR is probably the weakest feature of LCM (in my experience).

  • Use different managed server Java version?

Hello, I would like to put a server managed to run a Java version different from that set for its WebLogic domain. Could not find anything in the docs on how to do it. But it seems that Start Server properties > JAVA_HOME would solve this. After assigning a different path than the rest of the field, I find that the config.xml file is updated with this setting. But running a ps - ef shows always using the original version. Tried to restart the managed server and the domain, but still uses the original version. Does anyone know how to set it?

    Thanks in advance.

you need to change $DOMAIN_HOME/bin/setDomainEnv.sh with something like

    If [[$SERVER_NAME is 'ms1']]
    Export JAVA_HOME = / path/to/theotherjava
    endif

or something like (that I'm not very good at shell script)

Server startup parameter only affects the JVM settings, but not the actual path of the used java.

I tried to configure a proxy service on the servicebus (10gR 3) using ws-policy (weblogic version, not ws-1, 2), set up a SAMLIdentityAsserter (v2), a partner of identity provider and a SAMLIdentityNameMapper.

    Hello

When we connect to RDSH farm with java connectore we get an environment CLIENTNAME a variable IP address of the client machine, but when we connect to RDSH farm with connectore ordinary we get a CLIENTNAME variable a host name of the client machine.

We use a published application that depends on the good CLIENTNAME variable (it must be a host name, not IP)

Is it possible to force the java client CLIENTNAME hostname variable setting?

    Hello Robert,.

According to me, the problem which translates the behavior you described has identified as a defect in the current vWorkspace Java Connector. We have a default open with the description "Java connector has not managed a correct information on the connector of the station /" and the 213704 ID. This issue is considered by the development team and is currently scheduled to be fixed in the next version Java Connector vWorkspace.

  • Running Windows 7 services

    Hello

No one knows what "Running" Services are secure disable? If it helps with the performance? According to Microsoft, they recommend that I leave all default, since some services becomes put on, it's a needed by the system.

    Thank you

There are approximately 165 Services on a clean install of Windows 7 Service Pack 1.  Depending on what other things you have selected to install, you can have more or less than that.

Types of starting services can be automatic (delayed start), auto-start, delayed start or the disabled.  Some Services are designed to does start when they need to start and then stop automatically.

Depending on your configuration, when you look in the Task Manager, a lot of Service can be run and many Services cannot be executed (stopped) in the Task Manager (click on the column heading to sort things):

    Why not start here:

    http://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/black-vipers-Windows-7-Service-Pack-1-service-configurations/

If you are not sure of make changes, it would be wise to do a System Restore Point first and do too many settings at once so you can cancel things if something goes haywire.

  • IME running as a Service

As I understand it, EMI runs as a service and collects the same data when the GUI is not running.  Is also able to send alerts by e-mail (if configured as well) without the GUI execution as long as the service is running?

    I'm under EMI 7.0.3.

    Thank you.

    Terry;

It's OK; the GUI doesn't run.  IME operates as two services:

    Service Express Cisco IPS Manager

    MySQL-IME

The first service makes them data collection and alert, the second service is the database in which the events are stored.

As long as both services are running and the system that runs has EMI of connectivity to the monitored sensors, the GUI of the EMI is not necessary to run for email alerts should be generated.
