  • HP Terminal Server M602 list offline

Since Windows applied defender update KB915597 Friday June 6, model HP printer to the main office 600 does not print.

There are three same printers at the office here and none of them have been working for this patch was released.

    The driver used is - HP LaserJet 600 M601 M602 M603 PCL6 - both the 32 and 64-bit drivers are installed.

Have you tried the latest version downloaded from HP and the version of Windows, internal and downloaded from Windows update.

The driver is installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit running as a server terminal server and each HP M600 is affected.

The VPN network tunnel is managed by routers to SonicWALL.

Web consoles are available to connect to and manage.

Have deleted and recreated the queues of the printer, but they show as offline.

If I disable the SNMP printer shows online, but, when you print to the printer, the job goes to the queue and it is sitting there.

Printers work when it is used as a local installed IP printer using the driver provided by Microsoft, but only on the local subnet. The copy redirected to this printer on the Terminal Server session fails and that the documents sent there so not go anywhere, they do not appear in the print queue.

It looks like a firewall/network issue and I hope that you have an idea of what must be the subject of an investigation, the port must be opened in order to get this corrected.

Applied the printer driver updated to Microsoft as part of the regular correction.

Restarted the SonicWall router and the system has been able to see the queues printing and printing for devices with standard drivers.

The solution was a restart of SonicWALL-

  • X 220-problem of server terminal server / 3 G / VPN

    Hi all

I have two X 220 with identical problems. The procedure to connect to our server terminal server (Windows 7, server = v2008) is:

    -connect to the internet

-connect to the VPN (using the Version of Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0290)

-connect to the server terminal server

Everything works well when it connects via WIFI - and everything works well when it connects via the modem to broadband integrated into the X 220 until trying to connect to the terminal server. Then he said: Remote Desktop cannot find the computer XX.

That is, everything works fine up to this point. This includes plenty of internet work in 3G and VPN connection succesfull.

Since I have two identical machines - this should exclude material errors. It must be software.

    Ideas? Anyone?

My colleague has managed to find a solution. Install this update did the trick:

    FTP://files.Citrix.com/dneupdate64.msi

  • Terminal Server service registry

System: Server 2008 R2. 16 GB of RAM, Terminal Services/Remote Desktop

I logged into a user account and found that my application configurations changed.

We store the settings under "current user" registry key and I'm curious to know how the connection user sees a set of parameters that I connect to the same user name sees an empty set of parameters.

I wonder if my station name is different there... is this possible that the system has assigned me my own user settings?

    Thank you

  • Temporary Terminal Server user

    Greetings.

I am trying to create a temp/vendor account in a server environment terminal server 2012 which can access the applications that I allow it.  I tried to do it through GPO, but can't seem to get to where it concerns only him and not everyone else.

I'm a newbie to GPO and one of my more savvy engineers tells me that it cannot be done at the level of the GPO.

There must be a way I can lock to this user still grant him access to the terminal Server farm.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

  • Terminal Server license EXPIRING under Advanced Server 2000 Services

We will be upgrading to a new server (using windows Server2008) S/W & hardware with a new provider in the next 6 months. However, we need to use Terminal Server services for the next 6 months on our current Server 2000 advance server until we have transitional...

We just started having this message when logging in remotely: "your Server Terminal services temporary client license will expire in 13 days. Please contact your system administrator to get a permanent license. »

Although advanced server 2000 is not supported, we need to access the remote server for about 6 months until we do the transition...  We are a very small medical office and if we cannot access the server remotely, we are in big trouble! Our doctor S/W is old and is no longer sold or taken in charge by the seller.  We were told that it would not go on the latest server software that is available.

Is it possible to temporarily reactivate (period 6 months) the license for Terminal Server services?  I thought we had a permanent license and have never seen this message before. My guess it is initially set to expire at that time.

Is there something we can do?  Registry editing? Y at - it another software that we could use instead of the Terminal services Server to temporarily access the Advanced server 2000 remotely, once the Terminal Server services license expires? Can we buy a license 'enewal"for a period of 6 months/1 year until we have to transition?

I hope someone can help us, any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Terminal Server RDP is very slow!

    Hello!

I have a small network with a domain controller Active Directory (Windows 2003) - including the Exchange, I had a Windows 2003 Terminal Server initially, but have replaced the Windows 2003 Terminal Server with a Terminal Windows 2008 Enterprise Server (not R2). Windows 2008 is a completely new system, not an upgrade.

The problem is that the new Terminal Server ('08) is running very very slow one time the old 2003 Terminal Server is not present on the network. Although I use is no longer the old server, he seems to have an impact on the performance of the network.

For example, if I should shut down the old server, the new server becomes very slow. It takes about 5 + minutes to services/applications load after you try to connect to the server using RDP. You get a white screen for a long time before the icons are loaded and everything works really slow, including Outlook. On the contrary, once the old server is started in Windows, the new server works very well.

All servers are physical boxes and I'm not going to finally get rid of the old Terminal Windows 2003 server.

When you configure the 2008 Terminal Server, I did transfer the IP address of the Terminal Server, the Terminal Server 2008 Server, 2003 server and give the old server a new IP address. I don't know if it has something to do with the behavior, but the old server is not used. It is initialized only to try to keep the stable network.
