service mgmt-vmware restart

We need regularly to restart the management console service of the following on the command line

Service mgmt-vmware restart

Before that, I checked that virtual machines are not configured to automatically put in power when this command is executed (by entering the virtual center server and clicking ESX Server, and then click configuration/VirtualMachine start stop and check that it is disabled)

I don't want that to carry out the VMs and ESX Server - is there anything else I need to check?

I read one thread that says THAT HA should be disabled? Is this correct?

    Hello

like many propably you do, I do 'service mgmt-vmware restart' in a script installation.

I need this because I want to use vmware-vim-cmd ommands.

When the mgmt-vmware restart 'service' is executed, the complete installation stops and is right there.

When I do a "service mgmt-vmware restart' manully of a session SSH, no problems.

When I do a "service mgmt-vmware restart' to a console session (HP Iloé) the problem becomes clearer.

During the restart, the screen moves the "to open a session to the ESX Server...". Press ALT - F1 etc."- screen

When I press ALT - F1 I re - enter my session again and see the result of the command "service mgmt-vmware restart '.

But clearly it's killing my script because it cannot continue.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thank you and best regards,

Other users I know orders vmkernel put in a file to run at startup and not during the kickstart himself.  Put all your commands in a script and have /etc/rc.local run at startup and then remove the rc.local.

  • Mgmt-vmware restart-> "Host Agent Watchdog" has no!

    Hi all

I had the problem that an ESX Server was red and I couldn't control this vCenter ESX host more.

    I did the following things:

ps - ef | grep vmware - pass

    Kill - 9 & lt; ID of process & gt;

    service mgmt-vmware restart

now, I've seen the following thing:

Stopping VMware ESX Server management services:

VMware ESX Server Host Agent Watchdog VMware ESX Server Host Agent

Starting VMware ESX Server management services:

VMware ESX Server Host Agent is already running

    Availability report startup (background)

I would like to manage my VM in the vCenter, but for the moment I could not do that...

    Any ideas? Workarrounds?

OK, enter a start, look at your var/log/vmware/hostd.log.  How far does go?  You can attach to a post as well.

  • VMware vCenter Server service stops or restarts at the start of data collection

VMware vCenter Server service stops or restarts at the start of data collection

I am using vCenter Server 5.0

Whenever I have begin to collect data, vcenter service stops or restarts, if I stop data collection and to disable the agent, vcenter service again and works well.

    Please any help!

    Thanks in advance

It is a known issue, relating to the collection of historical data being enabled (nonzero) in the properties of the VMWare Agent on the Agent status screen.

Change to 0 to disable/re-enable the agent and it should fix the problem.

  • Service server vmware vcenter orchestrator on local computer started and then stopped

    Hello

    I'm unable to start the Server service of vco on Windows 2008 R2 machine. If I try to restart the service it displays the following error;

"Service server vmware vcenter orchestrator on local computer started and then stopped. "Some services stop automatically when not in use by other services or programs.

Can someone give me the solution for this?

    Thank you

First check the configuration of the vCO application and that all green lights. If this isn't the case difficulty what the problem is.

If everything is green, see the server.log file and look for FATAL / ERROR.

  • Cannot start the services automatically after restarting the computer and also unable to define themes.

Original title: My Services do not start automatically

I've implemented all Services on 'Automatic', but when I restart the PC, they do not themselves. This is problematic because of the themes won't start not and my PC theme returning to 'classic '. Does anyone else have this problem, if so please help.

    More info, please ask.

    Thanks in advance

In fact, the problem persisted due to the fact that:

1 'Windows Cache of police service' was running, so I disabled it.

    2. "Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache 3.0.0.0" also ran, so I disabled too.

After disabling these two services, then by restarting the PC, he was back to normal and show to the it's the best.

For those who need help, these are the instructions.

Click Start, type "run" in the search box and click Run and enter "services.msc" and click ok. Once you've done that are looking for the two services above, located once double click on the first found, and in the drop-down list next to "Startup Type" choose "disabled", and then click on apply and then ok, do this for the second service also. Once that is finished, restart your PC, and I hope that your problems must be solved.

Also, I think that it is better to download the "Free Window Registry Repair" of http://download.cnet.com/Free-Window-Registry-Repair/3000-2086_4-10606555.html.

Install and click on "Full Scan" and after it has completed (this may take a while) click on "Error Correction".

After all this, your computer must be at its best.

    I hope this helps someone.

    Thanks for all the help.

  • Revenant (installation of the Service Pack) Just restarts again and again

Recently tried to install SP2 from Windows Update.
Unfortunately, someone either shut down the computer during the installation or the laptop lost power etc.

Now, I get the message "service not installed pack - reverting" formidable again and again and again. The system keeps restarting itself! I tried the standard startup repair, and there is no system restore points.

I even tried a sfc/scannow, but it shows a repair operation is in progress, and I have to reboot first.

    Help?

Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

There is not a disk of resettlement.

  • Printer Spooler service will not restart error 1068

I have XP and I cannot get my printer spooler service to restart, get error 1068, is there something I can do

I have XP and I cannot get my printer spooler service to restart, get error 1068, is there something I can do

This error is probably due to the fact that you had (have) a Lexmark (or Dell Lexmark brand) printer installed.  Some Lexmark printers install a service and make the print service spooler depend on the Lexmark service.  So, if something happens to the Lexmark service, the print spooler cannot start.

The first thing to do is to ensure that the print spooler dependencies are correct.  Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK) and type the following line and press ENTER.  Note that there is no space before the = but there is a space after it.

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

Now clean the printing system: However before cleaning things up, on general principles, you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:

    AntiMailware MalwareBytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware

Do not operate the two scans simultaneously.  Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.

    Cleaning of printers

    A. Clean on print jobs pending

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Type the following in the black command prompt window, and then press ENTER after each line

    net stop spooler
    del/q '% windir%\system32\spool\PRINTERS\*.* '.
    net start spooler
    output

    B. clean the old printer drivers and install the latest drivers by using the directions in One Article.  Do not omit step 4.

  • I tried to use windows help for a start/stop problem I had with xp 64. He said using msconfig and uncheck load system services, and then restart. Now the services restart.

I use a laptop Dell Inspiron 1501 with Windows XP 64 installed.

It is only the first step in debugging your problem.  If from disabled services make your problem go away, then you must click on the 'Services' tab and allow some of the services at a time and restart until you find the service that is causing your problem.
