  I have a Vista Business workstation which freezes just whenever I try to add to my domain.  This is on a Dell Optiplex 740 and the domain controller is SBS 2011.  I have the DNS entry for the workstation and I do it with my other workstations on the field.  I get to the point where he asks me credentials of domain has permissions to add it to the field.  I'll type in the info, press ENTER, and it freezes instantly.  Any help would be appreciated.

• Problems with Server 2008 R2 Kerberos with Mac and CentOS machines? Need to re - join domain

  We are having a problem with our Mac and Linux / CentOS machines constantly having to be re-attached to our AD domain.
  We are able to join machines to the domain successfully, but after a few weeks or if authentication is broken and we again join them to the domain.
  I see Security event logs on our domain controller when kerberos authentication fails.
  On the linux server - I see this message in the logs
  -binding failed: server not found in the kerberos database.

  I'm guessing this has to do with Server 2008 R2 and incompatible mac / linux versions.

  Any ideas?

  I'm a programmer trying to get the members of a group of global domain by using windows server 2008 enterprise edition

  in the past it was not a windows server 2003 functional level, but when the 2003 functional level appeared a new features have been added such as the addition of

  a global group as a member of another global group in the domain,

  in the past, the written API could obtain the Member if the Member is a user, but you cannot find a member if it is a global group.

  I use this "NetGroupGetUsers" API to get a members of a domain global group and he gets the users but it does not get the

  I tried an other API "NetLocalGroupGetMembers" it becomes a global group as a member but it only works if the owner was a local group on the server
  or on another machine which is added to the server, but this API does not work if the owner of the Group was a domain global group.

  My question is how to get the members of a global group whose members who are global groups too?

  I am currently working on adding a domain controller Windows Server 2012 and field existing Windows 2003.  My current domain controller (Server 2003) had a level of functiontional of Windows 2000 server, when I first tried to add the server DC 2012.  I changed the functional level of the domain on the Server 2003 Windows 2003 (it is the only domain controller in the tree).  When I try to add the Server Server 2012, he reports that this domain is a Windows 2000 domain.  I checked and restarted the 2003 server.  Does anyone know why the 2012 still sees the field as 2000 functional level?

  IM planning on raise my current field of 2003 at 2008R2 in a few weeks and wanted to ask around the community to see if anyone has any experience with this and noticed problems with the perception of the domain levels and vCenter4.1 performance or features.   I can't think of a reason why it would be a problem. ESX hosts and vCenter needn't even AD, but it can be useful.

• Windows server 2008 r2 domain controller deletes printers on windows 2003 Server

  We have recently installed two new Windows Server 2008 R2 servers in our field.  one of the new servers is the new domain controller (successor of Windows Server 2003 SBS, which has been decommissioned).  There are two other Windows 2003 servers in the domain.  When we turn off all servers for maintenance and then power them back on, the print on the windows 2003 Server spooler crashes; printers are deleted and the server does not allow you to add printers.  is this be caused by some settings in windows server 2008 r2?  This happened twice, and the solution is to rub the print on the windows 2003 Server spooler and reinstall the printers from scratch.

  Hi, can someone tell me if I need to perform an update of more Windows AD Schema on the Windows domain if offbox Exchange Server is upgraded to Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003?

  Why I asked because in the AD schema update program, we just need to choose the same key "Exchange 2000 or 2003 directory Monitor" and there is no difference in the steps to update of Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 schema.

  You only set the function to run but not executed.

  You should add a line like:

  AtStartup();

  to your script.

  As noted if you have been set "defaultValue" to the fields, then clear the fields would remove any entry present and restore the default values.

  Or you could write a custom JavaScript to clear the fields and then run your startup script.
