  Gmail, Yahoo, and SmarterMail are web-based email clients which means that they are using a Web browser.

  It seems that the printer is not selected in the print dialog box. Please ensure that you select your printer. Otherwise, it could use a PDF or Microsoft OneNote Driver, printer etc.

  Are you able to print from MS Word, Notepad, or WordPad?

  In the meantime, I would reset the settings of your browser to see if that solves the problem.

  1. Close all Internet Explorer Windows or Explorer Windows that are currently open.

  What browser or application are trying to print emails?

  If you use Google Chrome open dialog box print, then press change.
  Select your printer from the list instead of the default save as PDF option and try to print again.

  Otherwise be sure to specify accordingly.

  Hi folk, I am a retiree still learning how to use my laptop, so I'm not aware of the thing. I would like to help please.     I had to have a new hard drive on my computer, the guy who did it did only half a job. now I find myself with a problem with printing from my email.

  It is very difficult for me to try to explain this.

  When I try to print my email, my printer prints only what is directly in front of me on my screen, not the full email.  I have to scroll to the bottom of the email to print the next part of the email that appears on my screen.

  Create a new Firefox profile

  Please also make sure that the default action for the entry named portable document (pdf) format in the preferences > applications tab is set to always ask. Then it should work as expected...

  Looks like you got the wrong printer selected.

  When you get the print window, choose another printer in your printer dropdown. You seem to have a fax printer selected instead of a physical printer.

  I can't print emails.  When I hit the "print" key it only prints the top of electronics but not the entire message.  I have Windows 7, Internet Explorer 10.   Everything prints no problem except emails.

  I just found an alternative that may or may not help.  Its an add-on we called HP Smart Print which works with XP - 7 as well as Firefox and IE 6 to 10.
