• The upgrade of several graphics cards?

  I'm interested the upgrade of my d5200t (and perhaps my SR5125CL) to several graphics cards in order to run BOINC projects that can use graphics cards (for example, GPUGRID) better.

  It's your motherboard.  It has only a 1 PCI - E x 16 slot for a video card.  Also watch the video chart area for restrictions.  Your PC specifications indicate that your PC has a 460 watt power supply which is good but not big enough for larger video cards.  The GTX 260 and above all probably need one more great power will provide.

  Review the specifications of performance ATI and NVIDIA . Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

  I have several signals that come from the same source and I want to draw on maps of signals separated as on the example that I have attached, so far all good, but I would like to be able to use a single scroll bar to scroll through all the graphics at the same time to compare values, I searched the forums but couldn't find the way to do it. • Problem Dell M5010 severe graphic?

  Hi everyone, I have some difficulty to find the culprit of my problem and how to fix it.

  Not for long I was installing a program in my M5010 in compatibility mode, a few minutes after the installation of the screen became what looked like an old CRT TV on without entry.  I flipped the switch and rebooted, everything seemed strange fine nothing, but when I stopped him normal again once he did it since then.

  I have 96 tiff files (created in Adobe Illustrator) I want to import into InDesign. The document is a graphic novel, and tiff files are pages. The goal is to make a PDF for reviewers.

  So my questions are:

  • What is the best way to get the 96 files in InDesign? One at a time? Is there a faster way?
  • Would it not better just to use Acrobat to create the pdf file?
  • Wouldn't be better to use the native Illustrator files rather than the exported TIFF? (The Publisher requires the TIFF as their deliverables). Again, this first step is to create a PDF for reviewers.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  In general, your questions, all boil down to what I would call 'workflow design' and the fastest way is not always the best. My understanding is that put you up your dialogue balloons, make your registration and a) first export PDF for review, b) then implement the changes of the examiner and then c) be responsible for the final output of flattened TIFF. Is this correct?

  One way would be to first ensure that your 96 pages of art are all mentioned in the order (maybe with numbers at the beginning of the file name) and then drop them-> up all at once. You will still need to scroll and click once for each of the 96 files, but you'd have to the file-> place 96 times. However, if your 96 pages could be combined into a single PDF (not hard if you have Acrobat Pro installed) then you could combine everything in a PDF file quite easily and use a script like the MultiPageImporter to place the PDF at the same time. That would be the fastest way, preventing another script which will put all the TIFFs 96 at once. On the other hand, if you are responsible for the latest release of the final TIFF, then combining in Acrobat could encourage other problems that don't appear until later - for example, if these TIFFs are part of a color management workflow. (I'm guessing, here. I don't know.)

  It's just a piece of your workflow. All of this must be considered carefully if you want that your final product to appeal to all those involved. If I did not like about the color, here is what I would do:

  (1) use Acrobat to combine all the TIFFs

  (2) place that PDF link with the above script

  (3) the work my speech bubble

  (4) to export a PDF file to my reviewers

  (5) for the reviewer changes

  (6) when the file is finalized - export a fresh PDF

  (7) use Acrobat to save the entire under PDF... you guessed it, TIFF.

  However, I mislike using Acrobat in this way. You were asked quick, however. I have no way of knowing how this workflow would mess with other parts of the workflow of the editor. The only way to build the workflow that could work for everyone would understand what the requirements of the Publisher are, and how to make sure the original art makes the process completely unchanged.

  There may be a script there to place several TIFFs that I don't know. I know a handful of Javascript, but it is obvious that the importer of several PDF page to which I've linked is pretty well focused on PDF and not easy to adapt. However, I have no doubt that a multi-TIFF-importer script would be much easier, and if you use this workflow again and then writing or commissioning of a script (or just hard asking a favor script) would probably be in your best interest.

• Equium A60 - problems of severe graphics

  I own a ' Equium A60-156 532 P4 / XP HE/256 MB / 40 GB/15TFT/DVD SuperMulti ' which I've updated with 512 MB of ram, so now it has 640 MB of Ram for system with 128 MB for graphics.

  My problem is, even if it meets the requirements of apparent minimum configuration for various games (such as "Fable: The Lost Chapters"), it does not correctly display in the game. The grass is white, yellow water, unreadable text, etc etc...

  I don't like the graphs such as shading and ripples in the water, I just like it so my laptop actually displays the right colors during a game!

  I tried the latest driver from the Web from Toshiba, the Windows Update site AND even sought the drivers on the ATI site with no luck.

  My laptop is doomed to be the trash and not play games or is there soemthing I can do?

  Hey Joe,

  Unfortunately drivers grpahics for your laptop has been deliberately out of engineering to prevent the graphics chip to produce too much heat.

  As you probably know, the graphics chip is integrated on your motherboard in order to reduce the space and there is no separate cooling. Graphics drivers are tailored to remove those aspects of the functionality of the chip which would tend to produce too much heat.

  It is generally true that the latest games tend to use features that were omitted in the drivers from your laptop.

  Unfortunately, there are no eassy solution to this problem as pilots of the last chip manufacturer won't load properly on your laptop without changing.

  I suggest that you try the latest drivers for your graphics chip of http://www.omegadrivers.net/, but beware your graphics chip to overheat as this can cause the pertubation requiring a new mainboard.

  Hello assistants scripts! I hope one of you can help me in this simple task. How I wish that the acts were an option! I read the messages saying how from simple scripts to apple is. I have read the tutorial from start to finish and doing the exercises. I have copied excerpts from multiple sources, and the only thing I could do is to insert the content... but not proportionally.

  I use INDD CC. I have a dozen pages in tabloid format with a hundred images illustrator on each square. Here's what I have to do for everyone from graphic images:

  1. that all graphic frames the same size: 10 x 10 mm

  2. Insert the content to frame proportionally

  3 Center in the framework

  These dang millimeters! The script that I came by default to pixels of all things. So my solution (actually two scripts) isn't pretty, but it works but he paints with a broad brush... each rectangle. I hope to add a line repeat like yours, so I can see what I want.   Hello! I have several graphic indicators and I want them to appear on certain positions, so I created property nodes where I define their exact position. I have a tab control in my design to separate the 2 pages front and the problem is that indicators are displayed on both pages. I want them to appear only on one page, how do I solve this problem?

  Hi cocopa.

  On the front panel, if you drag the graphical indicator in the appropriate page then it should stay there. If the graphical indicator has a shadow, it is on the top of the tab rather than inside a page control. In the block diagram, you must have a business controlled by the tab control structure. When you want to adjust the graphic position, have the indicator and the property node in the box to the right page. That should allow you to move the chart inside your tab control page.

• graphical waveform shortcut menu problems

  We discovered a problem about shortcut menus on maps of waveform with our current installation of LV2009f2.

  In the development environment ("IDE"), we have created a larger application. In the display section, we have several graphics (waveform), where the user can select the signal traced by the contextual menu (aka the context menu). When running the application in the IDE so good, the menus are displayed with all of the elements, we have defined.

  So we have finished the debugging (so we thought) and created an executable. Then, we tested the executable on the same computer (the computer with IDE installed full). Everything if fine, context menus are shown as expected.

  So, we got to the next step in the creation of an installation package (which resulted in a size of 0.99 GB btw...). LabVIEW makes no complaints and we have installed this app (using the Installer) on a clean computer. No problems so far, our application has started, everything was fine. But then we tried to change the display: NO POPUPS! Instead, we had error 1165 (problems with Insert on the Menu, "Can't find the menu"). What happens here? Anyone with a clue? Where is my menu (reference)?

  OK, we had a second computer. Install this package of 0.99 GB too. From the app: just fine, except the missing context menus!

  More information:

  All computers are Windows XP, Service Pack, even. Context menus don't require no RTM file, so no missing additional files in the installation package. Menu references created by LabVIEW (IDE or RuntimeEngine [RTE]) on right mouse click on the control, so that there should be no problem with the benchmark missing or false. The values supplied to generate the menu are the same for the IDE and RTE, so no difference. The graphics are incorporated into a secondary, but still only had events for them, so we no problem. New: the reference for the menu is provided by LabVIEW (event "Activating the context menu", MenuRef), so it should be valid...

  Sorry, no example. It is difficult to reproduce, when it only happens to RTÉ and only on computers, where no IDE is installed...

  Tomorrow we will fill to the top of the VI for creating menu with a lot of debug message subVIs to check everything and everything is going on in there...

  I found a solution for my problem (after a long session to create exe, deployment to a different computer, debugging and start all over again...).

  In deployments executable the shortcut menu for the chart is missing (and is missing only here!). So I first test a menu empty on each activation of the menu and create a new menu if necessary. To do this, you will need to turn off (disable) "default DURATION of the context menus" during the VI containing the graphic.

  A note more:

  All other paid (menus VI other) are loaded correctly, all loaded screws work dynamically. It's only the RTM shortcut missing... (And the RTM file is set to 'always include' in the application Builder!)

  I am wanting to also upgrade the chipset graphic crappy AMD to something like a nvidia with several graphics around 2 GB of memory or more the current model graphic chipset I have is the Radeon HD 6470 M "according to me, it has 1 GB ram graphics" dunno really, but if I can improve my graphics chipset to 2GBs or more with a graphics chipset from nvidia that would go all my games a lot better

• Vidock 2 ATI HD4670 working with switchable graphic version T400/500 w?

  this review , it seems clear the US $379 Vidock 2 with the desktop ATI Radeon HD 4670 card will work fine with an integrated graphics card only T400 running Windows 7.

  But not the restriction of Vista to require that the display driver even if there are several graphics cards, see here , means that it would be possible to use Vidock 2 with a dedicated graphics processor (IE with switchable graphics architecture) T400/500 under Windows 7?

  I know that in this case Vista would not support multiple monitors, but would it be possible to turn off the laptop LCD (Fn + F7 optionally?) to get the DVI monitor, attached to the Vidock 2 in turn connected through the ExpressCard to work properly under Vista? It should turn off switchable graphics in the Bios?

  The answers would be the same for the 4 Vidock with the ATI Radeon HD 4890 which is supposed to deliver this month?

  Vista restricting to a single driver of unique software for several graphics cards is filled for a 2 Vidock attached to my T500 because the ATI Catalyst driver is the same for HD 3650, HD 4670 and HD 4890. Worst case may be to define discrete graphics option (only) in the Bios. With same hopefully switchable graphics would work, starting with the built-in switchable graphics 9.5 ATI Catalyst in their vanilla desktop drivers.
