  I'm trying to export approximately 331 images and I get an error report saying that only 169 of the exported images due to the inability to create files for 159 of the images.  Then the report gives me the names of files of the first 100 images for which files were not created.  After looking at many images that would not create a file, I realized that, in any case, there was at least one, if not several, other images with the SAME EXACT FILE name as the image in question.  I can't change the names of files by right click on "info".  I tried to export the images and change the names of files to export using the sequential option and the option of album name - always having exactly the same problem.  I even tried not to export an image at once and change the name of the file individually or no available. Is there a work around that? I desperately need to export those specific images. I am trying to create a photo album for shown to mothers who choose a family with which you want to place their child/ren for adoption.   Finder has the ability to rename files with various models of lot.  Simply select all the files to rename, right-click one of the selected files, choose 'Rename X points... '. ", and then set the options and click on the button"Rename ".

  I also have an old scanner flat HP2400. Scanned image is saved in my ScannerImagePrive folder on my pc (Packard Bell with Vista).   I don't know exactly what you're talking about. I have an older HP and was last night with the digitization Solution Center. I came across the option to set the scan to save in a folder under monthly to this older software.

  The old HP 2400 uses older than the HP 3520 software. 3520 software does not allow for the option you are looking for. I checked the settings in the HP scan under Advanced settings and Destination folder and options do not find.

  Only I can suggest you create your own monthly subfolders in the main folder, you save to and each month you will need to change your scan destination to the folder of the month. It's certainly not as convenient, but it's the only option I can think. Automatic is always more convenient than the manual, but I thought that this suggestion was better then not at all.

• OfficeJet 4500 scan does not create a file on disk

  Recently purchased, this replaces a PhotoSmart HP 2570, no problem with the software install, printer setup, network (ethernet connected), etc. Print and copy of work. Did not try the fax. Scan to file (pic to file) does not create a file on the disk that you use the HP Solution Center or on the button scan Panel before starting the scan.  "Preview scan" and "launch Windows Explorer in the save location after saving the files" are both checked.  I also used different 'save locations' and even created a new subfolder "temp1" from the root C: and set security to be "full control" for all of the listed users.  During a scan, all works well until and including the scan preview projected.  When "Finish" is selected, a progress dialog box is shown with a message to «Finish the scan of the computer...» "reasonable given the"Save location"by which the progress bar gets about 2/3 full and then disappears.  Windows Explorer does not start in the save location and there is no file created anywhere on the disk.

  Appreciate sincerely all serious and constructive comment.  If I don't get this resolved, I need to go back and return to the PhotoSmart...

  That's what it's supposed to do, rename the current file.  There is no way to change the default name prior to his assignment to a digital file, however, I think that you can change the name before saving it.  No, there is no way to assign something unique default file name.

  I recently installed a M1212NF MFP for a customer.  They must be able to save scanned in PDF with the same file name without overwriting the original file. Instead, they would like to have a 4 digit number appended to the file (for example filename.0001.pdf, filename.0002.pdf etc.).  They would also like to be able to define their own file names instead of using a base (for example, customefilename.0001.pdf, customfilename.0002.pdf etc.) file.

  The printer has been installed on a network and does not act as a local USB printer.  The PC using the scan functions is under Windows 7 64-bit.

  I installed the software that came with your printer, but cannot find anywhere where it can be configured.  I know that after HP products have been able to do this via the HP Solution Center.  The solution center not delivered with the product.  Since I tried to install the HP Solution Center software, but I can't go beyond being invited to connect to the printer via a USB cable.

  I know it's easy enough to manually change the file name of the scanned pdf file when you are prompted to replace to save.  The function append is convenient for my client, given the constraints of time & workload.

  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanking you in advance.

  I think this is a related issue of Windows, because it is the Manager to save the windows file that we are talking about here (right?). You should contact Microsoft for help with this one, I think. You expect to be able to delete entries simply by touching delete on your keyboard when they are concentrated (that is how it goes for the removal of the form entries specific autocomplete in Firefox), but I have not tried.

  You can change, but it will keep up to your change as a prefix or you will have to appoint one by one afterwards. To change the prefix, please try your computer

  • Click the icon on the desktop printer,
  • Click on scan a Document or Photo.
