Several same tracks on Windows Media Player

Can someone help me?  I have problems with windows media player and it showing multiple tracks of the same track.

Hello MunkienFlipper,

Thank you for posting.  This would happen if the location of the file has been changed or if you have multiple copies of the same piece.  This can be corrected by deleting one of the files.  Before doing so, I suggest that you try to read each of the duplicates to see if it will play and then remove registration which do not play.  If two or more in fact play, you can just delete the ones you don't want.

Please let me know if this helps you.

  • How can I change the Art of the track in Windows Media Player?

I know how to change the album art and I already fixed, but tracks have individual art, designed by the artist, and I want those on their respective titles. I messed around with Windows Media Player for a little bit, but I like the still have not found anything useful.

I really want this art of the track on my tracks, because it is very important to me.

    Hi NoelleFay,

I know exactly what you mean, but I don't think that WMP allows this function because most artist do not include only cd art of track individual art.

I advise you to search/post this question in the forum of Experts of Windows.

  • Where's the "recently played tracks" in windows media player 11?

As far as I know, it should be listed under file, or when you right click on the media player, however, I can't find where is the list of recently played songs.

If something has changed in Windows 7? How can I see what has been recently played?

    Hello

Windows 7 comes with Media player default 12. Unlike other versions of Media players recent items under the file will not appear in Media Player 12. The best way to display recent Articles is by creating a playlist. By design, this option isn't there.

  • How to manually add metadata, including the correct number of tracks on windows media player?

I have an album that is automatically assigned incorrect metadata. I used the Edit option in find info for changing the metadata previously however, in these cases, the exact number of securities is applied to the album, and a simple surgravage of the details has been used.

In this case, WMP recognizes 15 runs when downloaded from the CD, but apply metadata to an album with only 14 runs. This means that when I use the Edit option in find info I am unable to add the information of the last track and so complete the metadata change.

The album is listed on All Music Guide , but can not be found when searching the wizard to find info .

Can someone please help me add the correct information on my downloaded CD?

Hi - Yes this a relatively simple process... If all 14 titles that have been assigned are correct, that you just change the details of the piece missing in wmp... Open the album in the wmp library view, and you can click in each column and change it (as noted in this picture)...

Hope that this gets you on the way - R

Solve the problems of Windows Media Player video and other media or library
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_diagnostic/
    Method 2:
There could be several reasons why the Windows Media Player 12 library is corrupted. For example, another application installed might have caused conflict with the database folder or its contents.
    Step 1:
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files.
To do this, follow these steps:
    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
    c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.
    Step 2:
I would recommend you to rebuild the database of Windows Media Player and see if the problem is resolved.
    Here's how:
To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
    c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.
Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database

    Method 3:
If the problem persists, you can uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player and check:
You can try the following steps and check if it solves the problem:
    a. Click Start and select Control Panel.
    b. click on programs and features.
    c. click on Turn Windows features on the left side on or off.
    d. develop media features; Uncheck Windows Media Player.
    e. click Yes click OK to continue.
    f. restart the computer.
WMP12 would be uninstalled now. Restart the computer.
Note: If WMP12 is already disabled, follow the steps mentioned below:
After the restart, follow these steps:
    a. Click Start and select Control Panel.
    b. click on programs and features.
    c. click on Turn Windows features on the left side on or off.
    d. develop media features; Check the Windows Media Player.
    e. click Yes click OK to continue.
    f. restart the computer.
This would be re - install Windows Media Player 12.

How to delete songs in Windows Media Player 11 duplicate

    Hello

    Method 1:
I would recommend you to rebuild the database of Windows Media Player and see if the problem is resolved.

    Here's how:
To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    4. restart Windows Media Player.
    Method 3:
When you move digital media files on your computer, the file name and file path information remain unchanged in your library. Then when you select a file to play to its new location, a new entry is created in your library if you select the option automatically added to your library when played. As a result, your library can quickly contain a large number of entries, duplicate or invalid.
To prevent it be automatically added to your library of music files

    1. in Windows Media Player, on the Tools menu, click Options.

    2. on the Player tab, clear the files of music to add to the library when played check box.

Now, when you play music on your computer or the Internet, the file will not be added automatically to your library.

    Method 4:
In the case where the duplicates are not removed:
There are also third-party applications to do the job. You can search your favorite search engine and download third-party software to remove the tracks in Windows Media Player 12 duplicate.

  • Import the data from the record music in Windows Media Player

I'm importing WAV files in the music folder.  The data associated with these files include time and size of the file, running that were determined by Windows and listed with each track.  Windows Media Player has the value import these files, it does.  However, in random cases, the execution time is not captured by Media Player, and so they are reported in the burn list and will not burn.  I get a message that if I play the track, the running time can be picked up, but it did not work.  The information is complete in the music folder.  Is it possible that I can manually transfer these data? (Note - since posting this question, I decided to experiment.  I removed the tracks in Media Player lacking of run times and their re-importation with the menu item drop library «Add to library...» "and they have been re-imported with run times. Eureka!)

  • doubles on Windows Media Player 12

I just upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and it automatically upgraded me to Windows media player 12. I finally understand how to get my songs from my external hard drive on the media player, but now I have duplicates of most of my songs. Is there a simpler way to remove these duplicate songs? I'd really rather not spend hours scrolling all find and delete one by one.

    Hi Rachel14 and Chimel,

But it's the only way you can delete duplicate tracks from now.

  • Y at - it a plugin/downgrade to Windows Media Player get older features?

I use the CDs and WMP9 is used because of the feature that allows titles to be disabled or enabled, and really, I don't want to rip my CD or get another audio player.

I tried the old WMP9 Installer, but he wouldn't even on Win7.

So is there any plugins that allow this function, or y at - it a downgrade patch that works for Win7.

    Hello

It is not possible to return to an earlier version of Windows Media Player in Windows 7.

Windows 7 comes with Windows Media Player 12 default. However, you can use another 3 party media player that has the same functionality as Windows Media Player 9.
