  I solved the problem. AMD Eyefinity cards require that you are using DisplayPort but it supports up to two "legacy" displays (DVI, VGA, etc.).   I came across this post today because my iPhone all nine 7 (which I've upgraded to the latest ios) also got stuck on a black screen with the circle of rotation.   I see that since you have upgraded to iOS 10, Siri starts each time you try to unlock your iPhone and Siri on the lock screen is disabled in the settings.
