shading of a triangle (gradient of 3 vertices)

I'll ask it's pretty simple:
There is a triangle with vertices (0, 0) A clip; B (256, 0); C (0, 256)
Each vertex has little color (for example, A-, B - Green, C red - blue).
I need the entire surface of this triangle of shadow by interpolation between these 3 colors.
Something like a gradient, but it has 3 vertices, not 2 like a linear.

I tried two ways:
(1) create a BitmapData to 256 x 256, attach it to my clip and shading the triangle in bitmap,.
manually (as people have been programming 3d opengl and direct3d graphics).
This works, but is very slow (of course).
(2) create a 2 x 2 or 3 x 3 or some other lilttle square bitmap, shadow it then scale it up to 256 x 256
with smoothing (attachBitmap argument) is enabled. It works very fast and seems almost
good, but not quite right.

I was also thinking about how to achieve this with a gradient (perhaps several gradients), but any ideas...
You can see my code at: http://heilong.oceanography.ru/flash/lab/

Three overlapping gradient, where it passes color United at the top to even
color with alpha = 0 to the opposite edge (and fill parallelea with edge)
works well.

If attachments work for you, you can see a small SWF that shows this.

  • Horizontal gradient

Is there a way to make the gradient from the bottom of my flex application that is horizontal? The application I'm developing would look better on my site with a horizontal gradient and not vertical. I guess that hacking the code framework for background drawing application would do the job, but I want to avoid this, if possible.

In any case, if this is not possible, then I think it would be useful to create a style for the application (and probably other objects aswell) select the type of gradient that you want to use.

OK, I solved this by creating a gradient swf image and set it as my FLEX application background.

  • How can I start using ACR?

I've been reading for the last hour & can't find info on how to start using ACR.

I can't find how to open!

Can someone tell me how to start? Please, I beg you.

I'm not sure what you mean, but every time you open a RAW file in Photoshop or PSE ACR filter is used to open it, or indeed, you can open a JPEG, TIFF etc. of the bridge using ACR.

If you mean ACR 8.1 final candidate, even if it will work with CS6, it is important to note that there is no support for the radial gradient tool, "automatic vertical" tilt / tilt correction, new stain, vignetting, or using Camera Raw itself as a filter unless you have a subscription to Photoshop CC

  • Triangulation in the jargon

Hi people out there. So is all hid or surprisingly obvious methods in Shockwave 3D to triangulate non convex polygon with n sides? A form of it is called of Delaunay Triangulation, but there are other methods as well. I'm about to embark on a journey to create in the jargon (i.e. potentially in a xTra), but I hope that there is already a solution out there.

Thanks in advance for any help
    David Gilardi

Hey there Hondo. OK, I was able to create an Xtra triangulation, but I can't release the Xtra to the public. What I can do is say that. I used the C code generated by ngaya and Matis based on the algorithm of Seidel. This can be found here:
http://www.cs.unc.edu/~dm/CODE/GEM/chapter.html. A great resource for anyone who manages the 3D programming is here: http://compgeom.cs.uiuc.edu/~jeffe/compgeom/. I was able to incorporate their code into a Xtra without change in other implementation that linking them. In general, this Xtra enables a set of points counterclockwise (cancels the order if not needles) to return a set of triangles without adding any vertices. This means that for those who are struggling with Nonconvex irregular polygons created dynamically you can send the Xtra the outline of the points and get new traingles you plugin just in your faceList to the generation of mesh. It is rather easy and simple, once implemented and can triangulate a polygon even with holes as long as the input data are trained properly. Unless we create an object in an external program and Director imports I don't know anyway to make otherwise, especially when running.
Anyway, if someone takes a hit to this public use feel free to ask me about it.

    Have fun

BTW: I want to thank ngaya and Matis to go through the trouble to implement alogrithm of Seidel in C. From my point of view, it is not trivial.

  • Three vertical gradient color Muse

    Hi all

I want to have a background gradient in Muse. I found there was a very simple way to do it, but I can choose only two colors.

My client wants to have a three colored vertical gradient background, is it possible in Muse?

The top should be black, black to turquoise in the middle and back to black again once downstairs.

I know there is a way to add a picture to the background, but I think it will make my site very heavy and bulky to load, and it must stretch and shrink if browser varies in length and width.

I have the HTML script for this kind of gradient, and I know that I can add an HTML element in Muse, but I don't know how it works for a background.

I hope someone can help me!

    Thank you!

    Caroline

    Hello Sir,

According to the guidelines of the muse works only two colors can be used to create a gradient. Although you can create Gradient in Photoshop using more than three colors and later versions, you use the image created in the Muse.

  • Vertical gradient of CSS3

    Hello

I'm breaking my head trying to understand this one... CC how to create a vertical gradient where the color flows from top to bottom, it is heartbreaking as a repeating pattern in dreamweaver.

    Here is my css:

    {body

    background-image:-webkit-linear-gradient(270deg,rgba(0,0,0,1.00) 0%,rgba(255,0,0,1.00) 100%);

    background-image: linear-gradient (180deg, rgba (0,0,0,1.00) 0%,rgba(255,0,0,1.00) 100%);

    }

    Screen Shot 2013-12-09 at 5.44.41 PM.png

You could save a lot of head bumping by visiting this site then copy and paste the code in your CSS:

    http://www.ColorZilla.com/gradient-editor/

Different browsers require gradients to be encoded differently, but this site doesn't handle most, if not all of them.

    janepell,

If I understand in the right way, wishing to create a transition between the center of the blade and the dark edges of the tip, corresponding to the gradient of the tree between dark and clear, you can:

    1. change the color of the tip to dark solid;

    2. create a narrow rectangle placed as a thin pale in the middle line;

3 select both and oppose > blend > make, with smooth color (or a large number of steps).

  • HP 6510 - areas shaded on scanned images

When I scan an image or document using a HP 6510 scanned images are dark and shaded areas along the vertical edges of the completed scans. The cover is closed all the way and the shadows are not part of the original image/document. What could cause this problem and how to fix it?

I have scanned hundreds of images with a C5280 printer/scanner and never had any problems with it. Since I bought the 6510, I didn't have problems with it, it's a true lemon IMO. Does anyone know if HP is planning a recall on this model?

Resolved: The problem proved to be the scanner cover. It allows a small amount of light to enter along the edge of the hinge. After you verify that the lid has been correctly installed (tabs of hinge in place and the lid placed correctly in addition to glass) I found that putting something, like a book or my hand on top of the lid while the machine is scanning has solved the problem.

I miss my old HP Photosmart C5280.

  • All icons are shaded and wavy after installation of the patch and restart (win xp sp3). How can I fix it?

After you have installed the latest patches, all icons are shaded with vertical lines undulate on them.  Computers desktop and in Windows Explorer.  Application windows appear clear, but icnos in their midst are the same way.  What should I do to fix this anomaly?

-J' tried the obvious desktop refresh. No change.
-J' rebooted in safe mode, and then back to standard mode. No change.

    What else can I try?

    Hi JimGoode,

Unfortunately, the screenshots are not available in the post.

Given that the question does not appear in safe mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If the previous step fails, then use SkyDrive download screenshots of icons.

Use SkyDrive download collected files and after shot/screenshot.

  • When vertical, can not do taskbar as thin as the horizontal taskbar. Bug?

I apologize if I'm redundant, but after asking around it seems that unanswered discussions are NOT open for review, so we are here ;)
    The original thread:
"My task bar Vertical will not stay the right size, which is very thin."
Basically, you can make the taskbar is very short when it is at the top or bottom of the screen. But, if you decide to keep your taskbar on the left or right of your screen, it can not be reduced at least to double the minimum thickness, you can do it when it is on the top and bottom edges.
In the thread original, a few posters that they are able to intermittently this thin, but after certain events (for example change resolution), it snaps back to the thicker size. This occurs even if the taskbar is locked.
I used my taskbar in XP this way for years, and XP, it is possible to make the taskbar also skinny when lined up vertically. Please, oh please, this feature is possible available in Windows 7?
    Thank you!
    Paul

It allows a smaller "hight" when horizontal is because each icon still has a large width, so it remains easily target-able with a finger.

If it was useful, you can vote by clicking on the green triangle. If it solves the problem, click on propose as answer. Thank you!
