• Need HELP to get this shadow effect

  Hi all

  I need your advice. Sorry I don't know the name of this effect below therefore the scene I need help

  A man holds a flashlight illuminating a girl in the front (she is a bit away from him in an open field), now the shadow of another person walks between the torch and the girl. The shadow is being cast from left to the right end of the frame, falling on the girl, too, as it moves.

  How to achieve this effect in the aftermath.

  It may or may not be a question of amateur, but any help would be so useful.

  It is now much clearer. you need advice VFX before your shoot. You must have a shadow without the man, be there. I think you can go 2-way with this: shoot twice the place or go to the green screen approach. each with its own complexity and the advantages and disadvantages. I will describe the basic principles:

  Approach to location

  If you want to try to do on-site, you can:

  1. turn your scene with the man and shadow

  2. pull on the same stage without human and shadow

  3 mask man with the rotoscoping and tracking

  This might work if you have no movement in your scene. or if you have motion control of drilling that will exactly twice the same movement.

  The green screen approach

  your question - if you can touch a person out and make him a shadow on the floor - YES. It's the way I'm going to try to do - it's called a Shadow Catcher - a layer that only accepts your shadow. This might work with or without movement of the camera.

  Let's say you have this guy on green screen

  I applied the code to allow for the video, incorporate scalability in the fluid grid and the footer is in the EXACT right place when the window is reduced in size, however, when that maximize the footer jumps down below the scroll.

  I guess it has something to do with my code for the video scaling, since it disappears when I cut this CSS but I can't identify the problem.  Here is the code in question.

  The problem is caused by padding-bottom on the container-video class. When the fill is specified as a percentage, the value is always calculated the width of the parent element. This applies not only to the horizontal padding, but also vertical filling. Therefore, the page becomes, more the footer is pushed away from the video.

  The solution is very simple. Once the video has reached its maximum height, you must change the fill from the bottom to a fixed value instead of a percentage. Add this to your style sheet:

• Shadows when you create a rectangle

  I looked for a response for a while, but I haven't found any information on my problem. Maybe I'm using incorrect terminology.

  The problem I'm having is whenever I try to create a rectangle with no fill, there's a shadow inside the rectangle. Furthermore, if I do the very thin border, there is a problem with transparency. I'll leave the attachment photos speak for themselves, basically, I want just the rectangle borders to be solid lines.

  I use Photoshop CS6 on a Mac.

  "Shadow" is anti-aliasing.  Photoshop grid and rendered wink aligned prevent antialiasing on the outside, but your width line doesn't seem to be a whole number of pixels - so the result is some anti-aliasing on the inside.

• "Snap to grid of Pixel" in symbol bugs?

  I don't know if someone from another grave on this problem, but I seem to run on it quite often. In general, I use symbols to my web creations all the time in illustrator. The graphic element (button or other) looks like visually crisp, broken and aligned on the grid of pixels very well with perfect lines and everything until I have become a symbol. When I discovered this symbol normally looks fuzzy lines on the pixel grid (too much anti-aliasing even with snap to grid of pixels on). When I double click to edit the contents of the symbol graphics become crispy! So weird! This does not always happen, but it happens with graphics ranging from the simple to the complex. Here is an example:

  Here, it is a symbol that I made called 'the big shabang' as you can see in the upper left corner. In the screenshot, I'm inside the symbol of edition. As you can see align it on the pixel grid is enabled for the item in the blue box. It seems crisp and aligned. (This is what it looked like until I made a symbol too. Just perfect.)

  In my photshop file is a cut-out image of a piece of chess on a transparent background.

  I want to create a shadow so it seems that the chess piece is a shadow so that I can open and use in my indesign document on a background of any color.

  What is the common technique to achieve this? Just paint the shadow using a black brush at a low opacity?

  You can make a selection of chess piece and who fill it with a dark gray or black and lower the opacity and use the tool of transformation to distort the

• Strange shadows on the Sierra of the Mac OS on an external monitor

  After upgrading to Mac OS Sierra, I noticed that there are these strange shadows. It of almost like the gradient of a shadow is not fluid and smooth:

  Is this normal, or is there a problem? Recommend a fix?

  I'm on Mac mini (mid-2011) and a screen LCD Dell UltraSharp U2913WM 29 inches.

  This seems to be quite normal. The windows are translucent, and what I see, this is the result of the image behind the window.

  It was the same thing in El Capitan (and, I suppose, Yosemite, as well).

  You can go to system preferences - > accessibility-> display and select "reduce transparency" if it bothers you.

• Display as list rather than grid files

  I don't see an option to change my vision of my content grid iCloud (icons) to the list. It is difficult to believe there is no way to do it.

• How to make a shadow of a person

  Hi, is it possible to take a green screen video of a person and create a shadow. I know how to do a version check video, so they are white on a black background, but I would like to make the person totally black and the background transparent. I could then align the shade behind them and tilt so that it matches the angle of the Sun (should be fun). For our office Christmas party, I still have some of our people in the film and place them in advertisements. For this one, I do a commercial golf and of course the Sun is shining and the lack of a shadow is quite noticeable. Thanks in advance as always for what I'm sure that will be a few tips.   It sounds not to be fun.

  Here's how I would approach it, in general terms:

  (1) apply the effect of Keyer for the green screen clip, background and export with alpha channel - use master file and choose the codec ProRes 4444. This will produce a film with the green background removed and made transparent.

  (2) import the movie that you created in step 1 - call it the foreground clip.

  (3) use two copies of the foreground over the background element item in the timeline panel.

  4 experimenting with blending modes, opacity scale and distortion of the Middle clip (a copy below of the foreground element) to achieve the desired result.

  How can I display a grid of horizontal alignment in pages. I can show a vertical, but there seems to be no option to show a horizontal. I use El Capitan with maps, version 5.6.2 Pages.

  Pages v5.6.2 has horizontal and vertical guides, but no grid. The vertical guide is enabled in the menu Pages: preferences: sovereign.

  With the two visible leaders after menu display: display the rule, place the cursor of the black needle on the edge of the respective sovereign and then click. When you see the following icon, drag the new guide in your document. Several vertical and horizontal guides may be present. The view menu has an element of Guides to hide menu or erased.

• Install Firefox 1 time, &amp; all my usual Web pages are missing details, such as the grids. Does not display the box that I'm typing this!

  After installing a new SSD following a failed hard drive and reloading Windows 7, I decided to move from Chrome to Firefox. Now all my regular sites show subtle differences, as if some detail has been missed. A forum I visit is more a grid that separates each topic, etc. the author answers. When I went to ask this question here, that I had to search for the box to type in the question by moving the mouse around until it became a cursor. Formatting is bad compared to Chrome, and some links are hard to find. I tried all the suggestions I can find help and Support.

  Firefox fits Windows themes 'High contrast' differently from other browsers. You can switch to always using styles page, if you wish, even with a high contrast theme. You'd do that here:

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > content

  Click colors, and then change the 'ignore colors specified on the page with my selections above' menu drop down to never and OK outside. Pages should appear by using the styles specified by the site.

  That solve this problem, for the most part? There could still be some differences that remain, but that should help you get started.

• Can I display calendar as a list sorted by date rather than a grid (for example, the typical calendars)?

  Rather than the usual grid display, I would like to see all my calendar entries in a list, sorted by date, with those further in the future at the bottom of the list. Each line should include: date, name of the event, all the indicators, a link to an e-mail when it exists.
