Shared lock library pool - Cache lock

Hello

I have a blocking session has worked 100% of the CPU for a long time.
Session blocking is latch: shared pool
The other session = Library Cache lock

  • 2 TM lock and DDL shared lock mode

    (Oracle 9.2)

    Hi guys,.

    as I understand it,

a 2 lock TM mode allows the DML to occur, but stops the other DDL occurs.
a shared lock of DDL allows the DML to occur, but stops the other DDL occurs.

Therefore, is it safe to say shared DDL lock = mode lock 2 TM? or I've simplified things too?

    Thank you

    Oracleguy,
In a way its correct to say cela, but they both work in different ways. Lock TM is essentially for the tables for the DMLs.As long as you a few LMD hotel the table, others cannot make a ddl top and corru [pt it.]
The shared DOF is mainly for tables not just for other objects as well. If we see the definiition of documentation,
    {quote}
    Share DDL locks

Some DDL operations require DDL locks for a resource part prevent destructive interference with contradictory DDL operations, but allow competitive access to data for similar DDL operations. For example, when a CREATE PROCEDURE statement is executed, the transaction containing acquires locks DDL share for all referenced tables. Other transactions can simultaneously create procedures that reference the same tables and consequently simultaneous locks share DDL on the same tables, but no transaction can acquire an exclusive lock for DOF on any referenced table. No transaction can modify or delete a referenced table. Thus, a transaction that holds a DDL lock is guaranteed that the definition of the referenced schema object will remain constant for the duration of the transaction.

Action DDL lock is acquired on a schema object for the DDL statements that include the following: AUDIT, NOAUDIT, COMMENT, CREATE (or REPLACE) a VIEW / PROCEDURE/PACKAGE/PACKAGE BODY/FUNCTION/TRIGGER, CREATE the SYNONYM and CREATE TABLE (when the CLUSTER setting is not included).

  • Duplication of library and cache

I have a 3 TB external hard drive that seems to fill up with duplicate files I don't need, and I can't get rid of them.

Whenever I open a project, a long list of cache files appear on the external hard drive:

I tried several times to delete them, but they continue to return each time I open a project.

Also, I have a long list of the libraries that I can't remove.

. I tried to delete the contents of the libraries, but finally, I get the message that I need at least one event in the library.  I thought that if I could get rid of libraries, these files cache and library could stop if all goes well produced metastases to the hard drive.

Any suggestion as to what's happening, or how I could get rid of the libraries will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Enough to open the library from iMovie as you seem to keep opening upward libraries, which in turn generate backups, backups. You need to consolidate your iMovie content in a single iMovie library and get rid of duplicates and backups.

  • iMac with 2 users and shared iTunes library

I want to give my wife access to my iMac, since the death a few days ago from his netbook.

What should I do - apart from the creation of a new account - we can use the same iTunes library, which is on an external hard drive?

She has her own iPad and so own Apple ID.

    Some additional information:

1 there is no iTunes purchases which he shared library ' in bulk ' on the hard drive.

    2. we don't use iTunes game

    3. sharing app would be nice, but she won't need to almost nothing outside of Safari, office and iTunes

    4. for the office, I have a 365 subscription, which she can also use

    5. There is an Apple TV involved, that we use to stream iTunes and is connected to my Apple ID for the moment. Is this a problem?

6 sync is useless for its iPad, sync to my iPhone should still work with my account

    Thank you!

Launch iTunes with down option, and then choose this library. You may need to change permissions on it, or select the volume in the Finder, choose get the information in the file menu and check the box for ignore ownership or permissions to this topic.

  • Shared variable library deployment error

    Hello

I'm having a problem with my variable shared library in the .exe deployment.  I installed my two individual computers to request one.  We my library is as it should be and on the other, I get an error message, as shown below:

Here's the code the error occurs in:

I checked the path and name, and they are the same on both computers, i.e.:

The two computers are new and have had just my app installed installation I built and as I said at the beginning one of the systems very well so all that is needed is to be installed.

Both computers are Windows 7 64 bit. My application has been developed using LEVELS and Distributed System Manager 2010 is installed on the computers.   However we have installed windows Dell and the other made by my IT department using our brand Image (which is the one that does not).

The only thing I've tried is to disable the firewall and adds indicators on the front panel to show me what was entered for a path and a name.

I've also attached the my library file.

I read a few on the other posts, but there seems not to be a consensus for the resolution of the problem and they have been since 2008.  I hope someone can give me a solution to this problem.

    Terry

It is a follow-up to the solution of my problem.  I discovered there was a problem with the installation with this computer.  In collaboration with an Application Engineer of NOR, I was asked to perform a forced relocation of my request and this has solved the problem.  Here is the link on how to do it.

  • Receive 2147220696 error message when you deploy shared variable library to cFP-2200

Does anyone know what is this error and how to solve the problem?  I have LabView2010SP1 on my laptop and FieldPoint 6.0.7 with WIF as ADDon-Aug2010 on the CFP. Attached is a snapshot of the error screen.

I have worked with Kellis Application Engineering and she determined that the shared variable engine had not begun on the CFP.  She had me reformat the CFP, reconfigure and reload the software of the PSC.  After that, I was able to deploy my variable library shared to the CFP.

Is a user of free Revel limited to 50 photos per month when downloading a shared unlimited Revel Premium Library?

Upload rules apply to the owner of the account. It's a premium user, then all the other users who participate as members of the library of the group have unlimited upload to this library. If the owner is a free user, then all other members if his group library is subject to the limit of 2 GB of the owner. We offer more than 50 downloads per month for users for free. Free users now are assigned to a limit of 2 GB and can download as much as they want in a month before reaching this liit.

  • Sharing a CF pool among the guests: how? GFS, something else?

I want to create a storage device shared between guests fiber channel. The host can see FC storage so how the guests? Sharing the pools with a fileserver over Ethernet is a no-brainer, but I want to save that bandwidth for other things, the data on CF.

So, how one share a FC HBA among the guests

on the host? I see that I

can add a disk, who can point to the SAN device. Thus, if each guest

for example have been invited GFS clustering, everyone could see that the storage

then? I tried creating a pool, adding a drive to each guest and he seems to see the storage. Of course, being that they are not in a cluster shared, only can use storage. But does that mean it is how I could put things in place to allow each guest access the CF pool I would they have? If so, then I could create a GFS cluster example, who all have access to the same share, correct?

In addition, ESX is able to see several NIC and the team, does the same for CF cards so I put more or a multi-port we in hospitality?

    Mike

You do not share the adapter by itself... You will need create a physical RDM mode for each guest, pointing to the same number of logic unit and then configure GFS for the device to each virtual machine.  You can't do that with a VMDK.

CF adapters are capable of the multipath.  Just be sure that the two adapters see the same read on the same drive/target numbers and ESX will do the multiple paths for you.

  • The use of shared code library

I followed the instructions on how to use a library and import a jar file, see thread

"Creating a library in Blackberry JDE"

  • Question about the use of sharing with several pools of resources

The design of our environment vSphere has several pools of resources at the root, each series 'Normal' value stocks, and if the resources tab shows that each resource pool '% of the shares' value of 3%.

However, some resource pools have 50 + VM and others have only 1 or 2.

Is someone can confirm that this is wrong and that should have a pool of resources with more than VM have a proportionately higher value of action?  This assumes of course that all the resource pools are of same priority (be they makes me wonder why we use pools of resources at all... but that's another issue)

The reason why I ask is that the 'worst deal allocation' is for memory and CPU is much higher on the pools of resources with multiple virtual machines, so it's obviously something in the algorithm of resource allocation that is aware of the total number of virtual machines in the pools. Resource pools are defined as extensible and I'm assuming that this "worst case allocation" would go down considerably as the cluster approached his ability, but I wanted to check before starting to change things...

Welcome to the Forums - you are right to worry about this situation - check on http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2010/02/22/the-resource-pool-priority-pie-paradox/ for description - but don't worry Duncan also has a solution - http://www.yellow-bricks.com/2010/02/24/custom-shares-on-a-resource-pools-scripted/

  • A shared application module create a lot of locks

    Hello world

First of all, I don't know if I do use just to the SharedAM application level...

We put your static data, we also store the results of some described as "static" procedure stored in a hash table and a few general indicator Boolean. Sometimes return us a set of rows according to a criterion of view, once again, we are changing the data and return an array or a vector and some time, we return (or change) the local variables, like our flags and our HashMap. In most cases, access is done directly via a Java Bean.

When I have hundreds of users, I meet a lot of locks when I do this specific code

Thanks to all for your responses.

I finally found the problem in our SharedAM. It is because we have methods for translation, which called for the database and these methods have been very often called, and of course, they were not cached. So I fixed that by moving the database stored in non-sharedAM procedure call.

  • MacBook Pro locks up in Safari

The short problem is my MacBook Pro (end of 2013), and my co-workers 2011 MacBook Air have experienced two camera while Safari is running. Without warning of the shutdown of computers... the mouse still works, but text and clicking on do not work. It usually lasts a minute or two and the keyboard buffer works when he wakes up. Reboot also clears.

But this week my MacBook Pro locked and is stuck. Reset don't affect it. I would be left to the user with a mobile slider page and no clicks or keyboard function. The only change is the addition of a new Trackpad Apple replace my magic mouse.

I ' d up call apple support and after resetting the PR and a few other things, the collective decision was the computer had a software problem preventing us to solve using equipment. They suggested an Apple repair center. At that point I had to accept.

My wife asked the new trackpad... which at that time was off and I was using the cushion on the MacBook. She suggested trying the magic mouse, and when I turned it on I return control of the mouse. I have re-installed immediately OS - X and for about a day, I have not had any problems.

Then yesterday I had another episode of 30 second freeze.

Any ideas or suggestions?  I don't think it's material, or I wouldn't be typing this. I went a day now, after the last frost without any problem. But I would have preferred that they don't come back too.

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - activate the menu to develop it, then go ahead and empty Caches. Quit/relaunch Safari and test. Then try Safari/history/Show History and remove all items from the history.  Quit/relaunch Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History... The downside is that it deletes all cookies. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select Library./Caches/com.apple.Safari/Caches.db, and then move it to the trash.

  • question related to the shared pool

    Hi Experts,

Version of DB - Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0

    OS - Windows 7

    (installed on my laptop)

Just started reading concepts DBA. I had a few questions. Please explain indetail/short ;-).

    (1) can we see the size of the Cache of the library and Cache data dictionary which are internal units of the Shared pool.
    (2) one of the advantages of the package is - when we invoke a single method, oracle loads the whole package into the buffer and for subsequent calls, it will not go to the db files. Here the buffer means library Cache. My understanding is correct.
    (3) I am able to see the two parameters shared_pool_size(value =0), shared_pool_reserved_size (value 15099494) to parameter v$. What is the difference between these two parameters.

  • Behavior of locking/unlocking of VISA

I'm redrawing the current VISA drivers for several instruments that we use.  Since it is possible that several different screws will want to access the same instrument more or less the same time, I want to block the instrument to ensure that certain operations occur without interruption.

I found Async Lock VISA and VISA Unlock and decided to use them, because they are built and seem like they should do what I am trying to accomplish.  ('Use this function to obtain an exclusive lock that offers unique access to a device or resource.')  However, when I send two commands for a device and deliberately delay the release after the first, while the second command should wait until the first unlocked... I see the effects of these two commands at the same time.  Turning point performance highlight confirms that the second instance of VISA Lock Async runs successfully before the first lock has been released.  And they are configured for exclusive locks, shared locks not.

I've attached a screenshot of an example VI that illustrates this behavior.  I do something wrong, or I somehow misinterpreted the fairly direct language in the documentation of NOR?  Do I need to use semaphores and abandon this cleaner solution?

I think your problem is that you have access to the same resource. Look at the example program called "locking". Here, there are two different resources created.
