  Let's run Windows Update and make sure that you have all the latest patches and service packs loaded.  In Internet Explorer click Tools then Windows Update and follow the instructions.

  You can also give a quick call Dell and see if this is a common problem with their OEM version.

I downloaded the updated driver from MS download the catalog and the Win 7 Add the fron Canon pack I have installed in that order. The printer is connected to the desktop from Win XP to USB and is configured as a shared printer. Windows 7 sees the printer and also its status but print a test page prints only the windows of the flag in the upper left corner of the rest of the page is empty.   Well, I've had sorted it here's what I did:

  Removed all instances of canon i850 of devices and printers in Win 7.Rebooted, and then at the Run prompt run this command, "Printui/s/t2" without the quotes... Removed the i850 canon drivers and packages, then restarted again. Then I turned on the printer and plugged into a USB port on the computer to Win7... It installed the driver for me to Windows Update and a USB driver. I then added a printer shared in devices and printers selected local printer and set up the port as: \\xp computer name\share name\. I chose the same driver in the list that was created previously Setup USB canon i850... Restarted then installed the Canon Add / on module: aomwin110ea23us.exe. Restarted again... NOW, I CAN PRINT!

  Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

  Looks like the file association is messed up. Change the file association for help and Support and see if it works.

  Here's how to fix the associated file.

  a. Click Start and type default programs in the start search field.

  b. click default programs list programs.

  c. click on associate a type of file or Protocol with a program.

  d. find the .hlp file.

  e. Select .hlp file and click Change program.

  f. Select Windows Winhlp32 Stub list.

  4 years ago, I bought AsRock P4i45GV-M/B 5.0 R, with Intel Pentium 4 processor with 2.40 GHz, 1 MB of L2 Cache.

  I have installed Windows Vista, since Intel 82845 G onbaord graphics does not support Windows Vista, I havd to installed an add - in AGP card. I installed NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 and I also tried NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, but my system does not at all. It's really slow.

  Is this due to add - on card AGP?

  I installed 2 GB of RAM, which is the maximum amount of RAM my M/B can support.

  I also tried with Windows 7, but it works worse than Windows Vista on my PC.

  Please, help me to boost the performance of my system. I don't want to go back to Windows XP.

  The processor and the graphcis card are old and not the fastest.

• Windows Mail and browser FireFox seem frozen in time

  For a week, whenever I turn on my computer, the same e-mail to a date and time come in yet.  The messages that I had deleted from the deleted items folder are back there once again.  I've sent or forwarded messages are not in the "sent" folder.    I entered the server and delete these messages and prevents them from coming back, but the most recent messages are the same.  Whenever I turn on the computer, previously received messages come in, as if they had never been delivered before.

  Also, my browser, seems blocked.  Every time I turn on the computer, open the browser, I get the same error message - something cannot be found the page I looking for me and offers me a choice to try to reopen the tabs I had open the last time I used it, or to start a new session.  The tabs it offers me to resume the same each time - are apparently the same ones that I had opened every time that the incident that is causing all this trouble.

  In the last two days, I have done the disk cleanup and defragmentation, System Restore to a point before the date of the last post, I had received before this all started, checked with my antivirus (Avast Internet Security - the paid version) and have tried to remove my email and my browser of the 'Sandbox', a virtual environment, well that whenever I turn on the computer they are back in the sandbox.  The computer runs even slower he was before all this drama started.

  My computer is two years old and it runs Windows Vista.  No idea where to start?

  I went directly to Mozilla for updating security settings of Firefox and ended up finding the Vosteran browser.   I think that this should be the first step you should try.

  The laptop uses a Realtek audio chip.

  Hello. I own a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate x 64.  It's the Builder pack and I used this license for 2 other computers I built bringing the total number of machines to 3 that it runs currently on.

  My question is this... I did a clean install on my PC twice since the original version, and now I can't reactivate Windows, what should I do?

  I don't have anything in the original documentation that came with the program which provides a limit to how many times this key could be used to register Windows.

  You can use the Safe Mode Administrator account only under certain circumstances without password. If this does not work for you, then you do this:

  1. Use your system repair CD to start the machine in Repair Mode.
  2. Use system restore to set the machine to a point when the password is remembered worked.
  3. Plan ahead a little and create, test, and document an alternative admin account, even though you have a spare House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.
