Shelf life of fireworks

How long even the fireworks will build by Adobe? I have used for many years and plans to abandon the CC because it is my main tool of choice. I know that may seem narrow minded and most will say get in Photoshop, but I have more than one familirsiatsion with Fireworks and am continually interested in Sketch that might end up being my tool of choice.

I don't think that it is supported at all more at this stage. It's basically a request for dead, unfortunately - although extensions can extend its usefulness as a product.

This is reflected by the Fireworks dev blog: the last entry dates back to June 17 last year. Also, it was when the last bug fix was released.

With more recent versions of Windows and MacOSx Fireworks may no longer work correctly - if Adobe will provide a fix when this happens, we don't know for some.

  • Can I extend the life of my unopened for my deskjet 722C HP ink jet cartridges?

    I use my 'old' printer HP deskjet 722C with a Windows 7 system.  I'm afraid that HP can stop making the cartridges for this printer because it is old (I bought it in 1999).  It still works perfectly & I would like to continue to use it until the support for Windows 7 ends in 2020.

    Is there an expiration on HP cartridges for this printer?  If so, is it possible I can extend shelf life in the way that I store them?

    Because without opening it (still in packaging) cartridges then I suggest somewhere cool and dry, rather than in the fridge. 8 years is long if, then, of course, there is no guarantee on what condition the ink would be at that time. As they say, nothing lasts forever! (sounds like a song title

    I would say just to buy on an as need basis. They should still be available for purchase for some time that there is still a lot of people out there with compatible printers.

    BTW, there is a link below with the specifications for the cartridge HP45 (has any info on maintenance & storage)

  • Taking my Xoom at the pool

    Hello comrades Xoom owners.

    Doc here with the latest news from my lab. My kids love the pool now that it is open, but how can I take advantage of the afternoon without my Xoom? Taking along seems quite risky, because a good by a stocky teenager unsuspecting Cannonball could fry my electronic Sidekick. So I was very happy when I found this awesome watertight flashlight which allows me to enjoy my experience with Xoom poolside without a worry about the pool next Tsunami. As a bonus, I can now bring my Xoom along on my boat and watch the jet of the dance of the waves through the new case to my Xoom. I tested the touch screen through the sticky vinyl cover soft and I can honestly say there is no difference at ALL (really surprised me). I wanted to check how the hermetic enclosure could affect heat, so I ran my Xoom for two hours tonight in the Pocket without any problem of heat whatsoever. Of course, you can not connect cables (who would?), but BT, WiFi and 3G everything work perfectly (no change of signal). And both of my stylus pens work perfectly as well. It also comes with a strap to wear it around the neck, but I'm not much of a geek!

  • Recharge the batteries?

    I have a Canon EOS Rebel T5. I recently bought a couple of spare batteries. Is this a good idea some recharge before use? How long a full battery lasts if it is not in the camera?

    If batteries remain unused for 3 months or more, partially reload them (to about 30-70% of capacity, according to expected shelf life), then store the unit to avoid damage (cover the contacts and keep ambient temprature.  Remember to never touch or short the contacts at any time).  If contact must be cleaned that I usually use a pencil eraser but more modern contacts are golden and don't need cleaning. You may need to take the storage device and load again after a few months.  If you know you will use a lot I suggest to load completely well.

    With my T6i, that I did not run out of battery again while in the field, so I didn't need an extra battery.  The longest in the field was a two day trip to Zion National Park in Utah, and I have had battery remaining.  I don't use a lot of live view and have not turned video much since I bought my camera a few months ago so I don't really put the battery to its test yet. The screen using LCD naturally drip the battery more quickly. The good thing about Lithion-Ion batteries is you can "top it off their" 100%, no matter where the charge level is at night before you go out.  This gives you peace of mind knowing that you are out of the door with a full battery (of course if you have an extra you don't have to worry as much).

  • LTO-5 maximum goes up / loads tape media

    Hello

    We currently use a tape library with HP LTO - 5 Ultrium tapes. Over the past five years, we have LTO - 5 tape with many media, (up to 15000) and I wonder if the mounts of a LTO-5 tape jeopardizes data integrity.  What I'm asking is if the LTO-5 Ultrium tapes have a maximum number of "past-Monte' that after that the integrity of the band limit is strongly questioned. Also, I would like to know how many years is LTO-5 tape archiving.

    Is there technical documentation that describes these values as the following link describes to LTO Ultrium 100/200 GB.

    "Designed for demanding environments of large scale libraries, Ultrium 400 GB media is certified for 1 million passes or 260 . " back ups and has a shelf life of 30 years archival"

  • LaserJet 4: laserjet 4 - toner smears on the edge of the paper 3/8 "wide

    Thanks in advance for your help. My trusty HP Laserjet 4 is a little sick.

    I'm a smear of toner (not full black density, but rather a density of fairly uniform grey except for a dark gray line angle all 2 "in this band of 3/8") on the edge of each printed page, on the left side. It is 3/8 "wide.

    When I remove the toner cartridge and pull backwards for drum making the visible green drum of the coverage, I see the toner on the edge of the drum so. I can wipe it with a non fluffy cloth and reinstall the cartridge and the problem persists even if the drum is not damaged or scratched anyway.

    I just installed this new cartridge. However I bought on eBay. It was new, still sealed in the plastic bag, but I don't know how old he was. In reading my manual, I learned that a cartridge has a span of 2.5 years.

    The cartridge would be too old and cause this problem, or is my oven goes wrong?

    All advice is appreciated.

    It is easy to determine if it's the cartridge or fuser.

    Put paper in the Tray 1 and print a test page. When the test page is almost completely in the pop of the printer, open the toner access door. Now to remove the toner cartridge and look at the page inside the printer and if you see the vice the cartridge is the problem.

    Shelf life of cartridge is often longer than three years, but there are some old enough for this machine, cartridges of what you have said so far, it looks like you probably have a faulty cartridge.

    My apologies for the late reply.  The journal of the SACL allows to store up to 100 000 events before flipping and overwrite older events.   There is no way to change this value.

  • How can I get specific information on my DVD reader/burner? I would get the name of the manufacturer and model number, for example.

    I just bought '100 DVD + R16X for professional' discs to Taiyo Yuden to use for the archiving of the files on my computer.  There is a notice that came with the discs saying they are nine 1 x-16 x speed DVD + R (Compatible high-speed drive), and should I make sure my Player DVD is in line with the new 1 x-16 x recording standard.

    I would like to know how can I determine if my drive is in line.  The information I could get, is that the drive is a device of "ATAPI DVD W DH16w1P ATA."

    Maybe if I can learn more about the manufacturer and the model I can find if the drive conforms to the standard.

    I'd appreciate any help!

    Hello tjjfitz,

    Great choice in the media from Taiyo Yuden which is one of my favorites (Japan, Singapore, Taiwan) for their dyes they use! Regardless of speed, use the slowest speed to burn your backups, they will last longer and are less likely to contain errors. I burn my backups at 4 x which, Yes is slow, but the quality of combustion is what matters when you want to get more long shelf life of your discs. I also recommend Virbatum (Japan, Singapore, Taiwan) too! Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

  • How long should we keep logs archived in the comic book?

    11.2.0.4 DB Oracle Linux 6.5

    We have a database whose archive generation is as follows.

    Average of generation of archive log: 400 GB/day

    Max log generation: 900 GB/day

    Archive log diskgroup size: 4 TB

    Backup strategy: we take full backups on Monday and Wednesday and Level1 for the rest of the days.

    -----------------

    Sunday-> level 0 backup

    Monday-> level 1 backup

    Tuesday-> level 1 backup

    Wednesday-> level 0 backup

    Thursday-> level 1 backup

    Friday-> level 1 backup

    Saturday-> level 1 backup

    Both Level0 and Level1 scripts have MORE ARCHIVELOG; (without a clause to DELETE all THE ENTRIES )

    We have archiveLog backup script that runs at 10:00 and 16:00 which does not REMOVE all ENTRIES either.

    We serve the archivelogs of Level0 and Level1 backup scripts, with the following command

    delete noprompt archivelog until 'SYSDATE -2";

    Question1. What is the industry standard to keep (retention period), archiving within DB logs? Is there a 'formula' / rule for this? When a restore, recovery lose us not a lot of time restore backup media archivelogs. That's why we stay 2 days now archivelog within the DB.

    Question2. We have 4 TB of space to store the archivelogs in this particular PB. With 900 GB Max generation arch daily newspapers, we can keep safe the last 3 days of the archivelogs. Right? I mean, is there a possibility of hitting the terrible archiver error if we increase the shelf life of the archive logs using the delete noprompt archivelog until 'SYSDATE -3';

    N ° DELETE OBSOLETE removes old newspapers also all the log_archive_dest.

    I could be wrong, but this is the first I hear of this and on a quick scan, I found no support in that either rman reference or guide the user to rman.  Could cite your source?

    DELETE OBSOLETE is not the same thing as REMOVE EXPIRES.

    -EDIT

    Never mind.  I found it.

    DELETE

    OBSOLETE Removes backups of data files and copies stored in the repository RMAN which are obsolete, in other words, is no longer required (see example 2-66). RMAN also deletes the log of the obsolete filesand archived redo log backups.

    RMAN determines what backups and copies of data files are no longer needed, which in turn determines what records (and backups of logs) are no longer needed. RMAN considers that the creation of a data file as a backup to decide which connects to keep.

    Historically, I saved my archivelogs with the option to DELETE the ENTRIES, I never had reason to notice or question this behavior... a rman DELETE OBSOLETE reach out to the archivelogs themselves.   Thinking maybe it was related to the maintenance of the FRA, I just tried a little test in two ways... archivlogs wrote to FRA and archivelogs writes destined for non - FRA.  Of course, anyway DELETE OBSOLETE also deleted real archivelogs.  I don't know that I'll change my procedures as well, but it is good to know.

    I learned something new today.  Can I go home now?

  • HP Deskjet 882C prints only in black and pink

    Hello

    I need assistance with my printer.  Before changing the cartridge, my printer started printing in black and pink only.  Then, I changed the new cartridges and it is always the case.  My OS is windows XP Version 2002, service pack 3.  I have had no changes to the operating system at the start of this problem. Short buying new printer cartridges, I thought I would check with you.

    Thank you.

    The issue has nothing to do with the drivers or the operating system, there is a problem with your cartridges.

    You have probably some very old cartridges #23. The cartridges have a life span and may lose colors (usually of first yellow and cyan) if stored for years. If these are original HP cartridges check cartridge warranty date as shown here.

    If the cartridges are inside their two-year warranty call HP to 1-800-HPINVENt or contact your dealer for replacements. If the cartridges are beyond their warranty period, then buy a new cartridge.

    Where to buy new cartridges are looking for the date "install by" on the package. I would look for a package at least six months before the "install by", which would have had a year of remaining warranty.

    When to store unused cartridges for an extended period to keep them in a cool place and keep them trained as they would cling on a store display. This will give you maximum shelf life.

    Kind regards

  • Zero client tera1 and view 6.2

    Hello community,

    Please can someone tell me if they are connected to the view via a zero 6.2 chip tera1 client?

    I won't bore you with the details, but we are finalizing steps before moving the environment seen at 6.2, and I just want to check if any of our customers tera1 chip zero (Wyse P20) will work correctly.   I see that the latest firmware supported for the tera1 chip is well 4.7.1 that only support the firmware to see 6.2 is 4.8, we cannot use it on 80% of my estate to VDI.

    Here, boredom, it's that when we bought the P20s for more than 4 years, they were supposed to have a shelf life of 6-7 years and although they work well on 6.1 (I know that is not supported on firmware 4.7.1 as well).  Whatever it is, we want to get a few good years out of the tera1 (mostly) faithful customers zero.

    Thank you...

    Yes, I've just implemented 6.2 seen earlier this week in an environment with lots of Tera1s.  They do not work on firmware 3.5.1 but after 4.1 update, they work.  Firmware 3.5.1 the view connection server logs were filling with "WARN: expiry of the current session on machine user yyy xxx»  This error disappeared after I improved the Tera1s.

    We also tested 4.7.1 in the lab, but I don't have it in production anywhere yet.  I imagine something more 4.0 might work.

  • Help to associate the drop-down list on the price menu Options in another field

    Hello.  : (

    I'm not a programmer but I wrote the code before.

    (Certainly never written in JavaScript...)

    I work for some non-profit and they asked me to fix their PDF to associate the elements of price...

    I thought it would be relatively simple in LiveCycle... but not for me, anyway...

    I have a few fields called Description0, Description1, etc... who has a drop DOWN menu allows you to select an option.

    I want the ability to associate a price field and update according to the selected item in the menu dropdown.

    I'm totally lacking however, it would seem...

    Advice would be appreciated. : )

    I wrote something like this:

    function descriptionChange (newDescription) {}

    {Switch (newDescription)}

    case "Lifepak CR Plus Charge Pak (a set of electrodes and a battery):

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "80";

    break;

    case "Lifepak CR Plus Charge Pak (two sets of electrodes and a battery):

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "107".

    break;

    case "Lifepak CR Plus Pedi touch Starter Kit":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = '139 ';

    break;

    case "Pedi toppings Lifepak CR more than spare":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "99";

    break;

    case "Philips HeartStart FRx battery":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "153";

    break;

    case "Philips HeartStart FRx adult Pads (1 set):

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "50";

    break;

    case "Philips HeartStart FRx infant touch":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = '98 ';

    break;

    case "(10), Zoll Type 123 Lithium batteries lasts 5 years":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "75";

    break;

    case ' Zoll CPR - D Padz, five year duration of life ":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "169";

    break;

    case ' Zoll Stat Pads II, 2 two parts pads, 2 years shelf life:

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "59";

    break;

    case "Cardiac Science G3 Plus battery":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "395";

    break;

    case study ' science heart G # more Pads (1 set):

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "49.95;

    break;

    case "furniture":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "200";

    case 'AED wall sign-3D ":

    this.resolveNode("UnitPrice.UnitPrice").rawValue = "15";

    break;

    } //end switch

    } //end function

    and then for each Description0, 1... I put in like this:

    var newDescription = this.boundItem (xfa.event.newText);

    DescriptionChange.descriptionChange (newDescription);

    Help please? : )

    Sorry if my question is too simple... or I'm just too much of a failure...

    When you create your fall down, after putting in your list of items, select the link tab in your object palette. Check "specify the item values. For each item, change its numerical value (e.g. text: "Lifepak CR Plus Charge Pak (a set of electrodes and a battery)' value would be 80).

    In the case of calculation of your UnitPrice field select the FormCalc language and insert the script:

    Sum (Discription0, Description1)

    Add some drop downs you must be included in the total.

    Tip: Name all your drop-down menus, the same thing and all that you have to ask, because the script is: sum (Description) [*]
