  • Does not start Equim A60 - system is damaged or missing

Hi, is there anyone who can help me to save my data I had on my laptop Equium A60. The system displays this message when I boot it "WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM" IS DAMAGED or MISSING. I got my disk to RESTORE but it clealy invite, a warning message that all my data would be lost for the default setting is installed. I will definitely use this disc, but before that I need my data. Please also note that Windows XP is running on my system.

The problem occurred when I installed the drivers for a BLUETOOTH dongle. The installation was perfect but when I rebooted my windows the above error msg appears and I can't get into windows. I used the F8 key and tried all the option here but none of them worked and I took them to the same message.

I would appreciate if someone can help me in this matter.

    THANKS AND BYE - ads

    Hello Adnan,

There is unfortunately no way to load your operating system with the error you describe. As you have already discovered it does not load even in 'SAFE' mode

This means that you only options for recovery are: -.

1 reinstall the recovery CDs (which will lose all your data during the re-form)

2 try to recover the situation by using a Microsoft Installation CD authentic (by using the Recovery Console)

3 remove the hard drive from your laptop and screw (with a USB caddy) to another PC so that you can
Retrieve your data befor using option 1 above.

Option 3 would probably be your best way to recover and would mean that you would not lose your data.

I also recommend that you invest in a proper backup strategy (possibly drive external hard USB and a utility such as Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image) so that you can protect your system from such incidents in the future.

    Kind regards

  • I recived the windows\system32\config\system damaged or missing error today

I got the windows\system32\config\system error damaged or missing today and do the chkdsk c:/r on it and he said: "The Volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems"... is it still fixable or have I just lost my HD?

I can't do a cause of model, that I built it 2 years ago.
I run windows xp professional, service Pack3, all updates
I use spybot, avg, windows defender and malwarebytes
Caused the computer to restart 4 times and I didn't know it until it was too late cause we had electricians turning the power on/off and I didn't know my computer kept on again and restart.
I have a cdrom to work and I still have the xp cd.

Note: I tried to do a repair of windows, go to the Setup screen. But there was no repair to the screen only option how much space is free, if I wanted to install or delete a partition. I have nothing just to the left.

If chkdsk does not resolve your hard drive, then you will need in the end not completely reformat your hard drive and reinstall Windows.  Before doing so, however, you must save as much data as you can to an external USB hard drive.  If your system boots, then save as much as the hard drive will allow.  If your system does not start, then you should try to boot from a bootable CD that will support USB drives (I prefer free Linux Livecd such as Knoppix), then again until you can.

To reinstall Windows, many computers have a recovery Partition that will restore your computer to its State as purchaser which can be activated by pressing a combination of keys special at the time where the manufacturer splash screen goes back to the start.  Read quickly, find the appropriate key combination and press it to reinstall Windows - well in your case, it seems that you have an installation CD.  If the request to do a 'Quick format' or 'Regular Format', do not select Quick format.

  • I can't start windows, it says system32\config\system is damaged or missing I tried consol recovery and boot to the top of the cd

I can't start windows, it says system32\config\system is damaged or missing I tried the recovery console and

boot from the cd that it won't start any ideas?

I cannot directions all of the Support Engineer.  It's just a Bing search engine and a link to an article.

You need to work with someone who has actually really seen and corrected this questions a few thousand times in the real world.

You must first start by entering in the XP Recovery Console and running a chkdsk/r from there.

If you do not have a genuine XP bootable installation CD from which you cn safe in the XP Recovery Console or you are not sure that you have a bootable CD, make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r there.

    Here's how:

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes the plug pulling, buttons power and removing the battery).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else.

If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

There is zero logic to begin to try to begin to try to modify or copy files to a hard drive that has a corrupted file system, so this must first be fixed using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk on your hard drives may solve your problem completely.

Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

  • Ntoskrnl.exe damaged or missing error

I'm now locked in battle with the ntoskrnl.exe file corrupted on my computer. It started a week ago when I stopped, I noticed updates have been planned and so I clicked on to install updates and shut down option. Next morning all * broke loose and I'm dealing with a damaged or missing ntoskrnl.exe file. Now when I start the machine starts OK and then when the Windows boot screen showing moving green lines appear, it holds for a few seconds and then automatically start startup repair... After working on what he comes back with mode "cannot repair computer automatically, and when I ask to send the information contained in". I can't find any additional information. System restore fails due to a corrupted file. I have tried and actually started the system with the recovery in the drive but not from this date disc... maybe I'm super tired. I read that you can expand the file in the location of the recovery disc, but I get confused the guidelines regarding disk numbers. Is it possible to buy a HARD drive up, install it in the machine and then install vista on it and set the new drive as the primary drive and leave the old drive in pure storage. Or the problem would still exist? I have photos stored on the drive and more priceless family of financial records and other important documents on it as well. What should I do to resolve this problem and allow full of Windows 7 installation? (my computer is a Compaq Presario V6000).

    Hello

What installation media you are using?

    Method 1:

Error 0 x 80070017 translates "CRC error" which means that the files that are copied from the disc are not making it to the hard drive with the same structure, which means that the 'original' the disk files are modified/changed/corrupted while being copied to the location of the 'destination' on your disk during Setup.

This usually means a bad DVD, or an error reading on the DVD player.

Hello, I'm trying to fix my burner but I tried to uninstall and reboot my computer to see if the problem might be to set but he told me that my driver cd is missing or damaged, and I don't know what to do besides put my computer back to factory settings. • Photos - photos of iCloud - several users share data bases

Hi hoping someone can point me in the right direction here as it is driving me crazy!

New Mac mini, OS X and photos app.

Basically, I want to share a unique data base of Photos between two users on the same Mac accounts. Have followed all the advice online, I'm always running into difficulty. I put the database on an external SSD with permissions in place for any user access to the base (but only one at a time of course).

All very well so far, but here comes the question. I want pictures of iCloud enabled on one of the accounts with complete download of all pictures to iCloud, when I get out of the photos, the photolibraryd process remains active. This means that when I change the account and you are trying to access the photos, I can't because photoslibraryd in the other account is accessed again. To work around this I started to enter photoslibraryd monitor and the murder of activity as well as the Photos itself before you log in to the second account and to access the Photos. This seems to work (but is a bit of a pain if I forgot!) - which is a lot more pain, it's that if I add some photos in the second account and then go back to the first, rather than synchronize the new photos with iCloud, product photos across the entire library 20,0000 resynchronization photo! It's bad!

I have approached the wrong way? Is there a better way to achieve what I want - that is entirely database of shared photos between two users on the same Mac (with photo stream enabled on both accounts for these devices which have not iCloud photo activated) and iCloud photo enabled on one of the Mac accounts - without killing the process or any what fees General massive sync?

    Grateful for any help.

    Thank you very much

    Rich.

It is not possible to share a library of photos between several users, if the library in question is your system library. If you cannot share the library used as the iCloud photo library with others.  If you want to share photos with others, use a separate library of Photos to share and transfer photos from there to your iCloud library.

I found this in the documentation for PowerPhotos:

    : https://www.fatcatsoftware.com/powerphotos/Help/sharing%20a%20library%20between% 20multiple%20user%20accounts%20on%20one%20mac.html

Share a library between several user accounts on a Mac

Photos is not designed with use multi-user in mind, which makes it very difficult to create a configuration where only one library of Photos are accessed through accounts on your Mac. If you want to share a library in this way, the following restrictions will be applied (for the bottom of discussion, we have two users named A and B we want to share a library):

    1. Account that a single user can never open a library given in Photos at the same time. Before you can use the shared library as long as the user has, make sure to leave Photos as user B.
    2. None of the user accounts that access the library may designate as their "library system". The library system is actually open at any time by OS X in the background, as long as that user is connected, even while quitting smoking pictures not free the library so that another user can open. You must designate another library system library, or completely close the session user B before trying to access the library as user A. Note that this also prevents having this synchronization of library with iCloud.
    3. The library cannot be stored on your internal drive or any other drive where the permissions are respected. Fighting against the permissions on OS X is a losing battle. While you can play whack-a-mole to try to correct the permissions on the library before you open it, then something goes wrong and it is likely that you will be unable to access a part of your library. You should keep the library on an external drive and in the read window information in the Finder, make sure the checkbox "Ignore permissions on this volume" is checked.

My HD computer died and I had a new installed and a new Win 7 64 bit OS installed on it. Now when I try to install MS Money Plus Deluxe I get an error message 'the setup.inf file is damaged or missing. However, when I install the disk in a XP machine, friends auto installation begins and there is no problem. Assistance in obtaining my software to install on my new HD/operating system is required.

    Thank you

  • Empfehlung Lanzeitmessung data base: database (SQL) vs PDM

    Hello

As eine Projekt eine Software fur einen Teststand schreiben soll ICH. Are IM trains its ist geplant, eine für die Testobjekte anzulegen data base, da sharp several stations durchlaufen, die ich im following darstelle kurz:

Recovering of the Testobjekts (LabVIEW automatisiert mit Herstellungsparametern: Dicke, big, material)

    Viele Dank as eure Hilfe!

If you have the choice, ALWAYS choose the database. It will give you the greater security and application/platform independence.

  • When I start my computer I get a message that says that the file < root windows > \system32\hal.dll. is damaged or missing.

    file HAL.dll

When I start my computer I get a message that says that the file \system32\hal.dll. is damaged or missing. Please reinstall a copy of the file. I have the original Windows XP CD and I tried to re - install, but it will not go beyond the implementation of window. I can't sign in to windows. How can I reintall this file?

It's extremely likely that you will need to replace the hal.dll and since there are seven files on the XP installation CD that will extend into hal.dll, which would you choose?  It depends on your hardware, but it is extremely likely that the problem (did I already say that?).  I've never had to replace a file hal.dll for this problem.

The real problem is most likely that XP just can not find the file because of a file system corruption or a file c:\boot.ini afflicted.

For this error, I would always be first boot from the XP Recovery Console and sometimes run a chkdsk-r that will fix things right to the top.

If the chkdsk /r is clean and you have the same problem, and then re-create your c:\boot.ini file but rename the old one first so you don't build on top of those afflicted - this tidbit is absent from MS KB article that assumes too.

You can do all this in the XP Recovery Console, but do go through these methods in this article and see how you go.

For example, method 1 will not work if your system does not start.  You may have more luck with other "methods".

If that doesn't work, then I suggest to provide a little more information about your system:

Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a real installation CD bootable XP which is the same Service Pack as your installed Service Pack? (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?
