Shift = no perfect circle?

He worked in all the previous versions, but seems in Photoshop CC, is not? Someone, please explain to me how to operate as it has always done? It is so annoying, I plan to go back to the old Photoshop.

Tried to hold and cartoon, prest draw press, push and pull no answers a, worked and instead of circle that I find myself with ellipse.

managed to solve this problem on my own, so if anyone has the same problem, maybe it's that might help:

problem was with Win 10 easy access which tend to waste his time with keyboard entry had disabled the keys sticky but other features ware 'ON' and the reason why Photoshop is not behaving as it should the dishes.

to get rid of this simply go to control panel > accessibility go to the keyboard setting and uncheck the check box all of the boxes it this has solved the problem for me.

See you soon.

  • How to draw / perfect circle track?

I am a designer, previously using Corel Painter sketch with but have just a Photoshop CC. In Painter you can create a circle path, set up a Brush tool, then check one that snaps you the path you created. You can then sketch out a perfect circle / ellipse. It basically allows you to trace the path with pressure sensitivity.

Is there a similar tool to the CC in Photoshop that helps you sketch the most perfect circles and ellipses?

Yes, it works in a similar way

Use the ellipse tool and set it to the path in the options bar.

Your circle is created with this tool and creates a path. Once you have done this, select your brush, and then click 'trace the path with the brush in the Panel traced. "

  • Illustrator cannot do a perfect circle

So, I need to cut out a circle of 30 "by 12 pies even. I selects the elipse tool, hold down the option key, click on the center of my page and enter 30 x 30. I use the tool pen to make a vertical Ray 15 ", I turn 30 degrees and turn the rays of two guides. Then, I select the scissors tool to cut the circle @ the 2 points that affect the rays. However, I note the Scissor tool does not align with the second ray, the vertical is NP. When I Zoom, I can see that the second ray does not quite touch the circle. I scratch my head, start all over again, same thing. Then I turn the circle 15 degrees and check the info box. The circle is now 30,0074 "instead of 30". (Illustrator can only give dimensions based on the x & y values) If I rotate the circle all multiple of 45 degrees, still 30 x 30, but turn a different number of this, not 30 "more. I tried several versions of Illustrator, still lead. It is not a big problem, I just did the rays a little longer, a little bigger, the circle, cut out the circle, use the pen tool to finalize the pie, then hidden all 12 with the correct diameter circle so the outside corners of the pies perfectly align (which they won't otherwise).

    Any ideas?

    Barron,

There is a slight inaccuracy, long known, at least for some.

If you are only slightly larger spokes and the ditch, things will look the kindness (). You can use the polar grid with no concentric dividers tool (and still extend the raidal dividers).

The inaccuracy is mentioned in this thread:

  • Tool Ellipse does not circle perfect

No matter what I do, my ellipse tool will not make a perfect circle. BTW, I use a PC and CC 2015. SHIFT and control do not work, shift will not work, double ellipse rattling when I have a square will not work. It is made a large ellipse when I try anything. Help, please! Thank you very much!

Your publication has been created with non-square pixels and you do not have the correction of the report l / h pixels for the preview enabled in the composition Panel.

You should always use the presets for square pixels composition by creating a new comp. HDTV 1080 is the most common. Only pick the image sizes not square if you know exactly what you are doing. It goes the same for pixel format options. Essentially if you see custom or something else that the place in the pixel format options so you know what you're doing.

  • It's basic, but he kills me, draw circles perfect inside another

    Hello

I'm trying to draw a circle that is perfect in PS, I know you hold down SHIFT and drag the eclipse tool to create a circle in 2nd, I contracted it, added a new layer and filled, I continued but I noticed that I went to the 3rd circle, he stopped in a perfect circle, which is the ideal way to do it? I even tried to use the vector Ellipse tool but no luck. Here's what I've done so far.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: Post #1 the method is the same but with a style of outline apply.

Here I used a grid, so I could easily align the center of the cross when I started the form. I used a layer style on my forms. In this case, it's the race with the fill set to 0%.

  • When I hold SHIFT to make a mask of circle, I get a form of egg?

When I do a circle that is not a mask, it comes out as a perfect circle as it should. How can I get the mask of a proportional equal circle as the shape layer?

Well, you have to ask about the formats of pixels. You should verify the interpretation of the sequence in the project Panel. Should never disproportionate scale images to fit in a compose window, unless you want to intentionally distort images. That is why your mask is shaped eggs. Make sure that the sequence is interpreted correctly, then if you need put across, evenly on the scale, then add your mask.

After effects will correctly interpret all of the original sequences not square camera if the interpretation is correct. You know if the images are interpreted correctly, you need to know whence images and specifications of this camera and the format. You have a little work to do.

  • You can duplicate images in a circle perfect with CS4?

I can do this very easy in Freehand but can't find anything in CS4 like that?

Take any image and duplicate it in a perfect circle, look at the sample of the image as an attachment of Freehand.

Does anyone know how to do this in CS4?

    Duplicate dots.jpg

Another of the many possible methods is to use the transform effect (effect |) Distort & transform | Transform). Use the rotate option, entering an angle calculated by dividing the 360 by the total number of items that you want. Enter the total number of items minus one for "copies".

  • AE, all forms of circle/masks are automatically tilt...

Help!  For some reason any, whenever a circle is drawn, hidden, or used as part of an effect & predefined, they are spread out.  That is, the default is not a perfect circle.  Even when I shift + do drag the circle, he remained unbalanced.  I have no idea why this is happening.  I'm still a beginner with AE, however I am comfortable with Illustrator/PS/Ind and I've never had this problem before.

Without you what does tell us about your publication, I'll be willing to bet that you have selected a format of non square pixels, and that you have not enabled Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction in the Comp panel. It is the small box with the double ended arrow just to the right of the Active camera (3D view popup) and select View Layout from the drop-down menus.

My advice would be to change your settings to model for the square pixel equivalent to the frame size, with that work. You will be much better in the long term, even if you plan to distribute on TV SD or DVD. All other Web broadcast cable theatrical projection formats are pixels square these days. Only the camera originals can be rectangular pixels.

  • Creating a circle clear ole

My selection tool automatically creates a circle with a double line (a bit like a circle inside another circle).  I would like to create a unique double circle.  (For some reason my screenshot is not sticky :-().

    Hi virtualista,

To create a circle, you do not want to use the 'Ellipse tool'.

In the toolbar, you should find an oval/circle shape. It may be disguised in another form (for example, a square) you last used.

Simply click and hold down on the parameters form. It should look like this:

With the Ellipse tool selected, you can create cirlces and ovals by clicking and dragging on the canvas. Now 'shift' when you drag, you can create perfect circles.

    I hope this helps!

  • How to create a circle from the Center?

Hello. I'm using PS CS3 and I want to create a perfect circle around the Center. How do you do that?

I know not pressing SHIFT while dragging makes it perfectly round. I also read that pressing alt at the same time he draws in the Center, but it does not work, it just all just with the eyedropper tool. Am I missing something or is there another way to do it?

    Thank you.

    Hello

If you click and hold the mouse pointer and press the Alt key and drag, it should work.

In addition, once you start dragging, add the SHIFT key to constrain to a circle.

  • Change a square into a circle picture

    Hello

I have illustrator CS3 - I make badges and to edit a photo that I have a square in a circle. I take the laptop with me on the site and I do not know if anything but illustrator can run on it. That is to say that I know I can do it in photoshop, but I'm worried about the poor little fellow screaming murder!

So is this possible in Illustrator? I'm open to suggestions for other applications that are not so hungry as Word of memory; GIMP maybe?

For those who work in Photoshop, here is a step by step guide on using clipping masks to create a circular image from a square image.

Open your image in Photoshop. Using the elliptical selection tool (see below), draw a circle around the area of your image you want to keep. (Hold down the SHIFT key when you drag to create a perfect circle)

In your layers panel, click the Add mask, shown below.

You now have a cut image!

  • Circle questions

I'm doing a perfect circle which is the size of a CD.

I made guides that are 5 "x 5" (a little wider than a real CD) wide and 5 "x 5" high. " When I try to create a form of circle or marquis inside my lines, I can't. I have to make an oval to meet my guides.

I thought it was a problem with my shares in my rules. No dice. I tried to create a marquis set at 5 "x 5". No dice. Still an oval. 5 "x 5" should be not a perfect circle? A circle with a circumfrance of 5 "would be the same all the way around, right? Or I have to go back to the geometry class?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Draw a circle or square

You can draw a circle or a square using the elliptical or rectangular marquee tools, then add a line (called a stroke) to the selection rectangle. Stroking a selection is a quick way to add a border or frame around an object. You can draw any selection you create with the selection tools.

    1. In the layers panel, click the new layer to create a new layer for the circle or square. Isolate the circle or the square on its own layer makes it easier to work with.
    2. Select the elliptical marquee tool or the Rectangle tool in the Toolbox.
    3. Drag in the document window to create the shape. Hold down the SHIFT key while dragging to constrain the shape to a circle or a square.
    4. Choose Edition > outline.
    5. In the outline dialog box, enter a value for the width, and then click the chart to display the Adobe color picker.
    6. In the Adobe color picker, find the desired color range using the sliders of triangle on the color spectrum bar, and then click the color you want in the color field. The color you select appears in half top of the color sample. The original color remains in the bottom half. Click OK.
    7. Set the location for the race compared to the framing box by choosing inside, to the Center, or outside. Adjust the other settings as desired, and then click OK. The line using the color and STROKE settings you set Photoshop hits.

Through adobe help - you can always use your guides...

  • SHIFT key is not compel forms more

    Hello!

I'm new to After Effects, so I started a tutorial recently in order to learn how to use it properly. However, there is something that makes no sense to me.

As a user of Photoshop, I always use the SHIFT key to make a rectangle or a circle perfect, if it comes to shapes or selection. As I have lived during the tutorial, this feature also available in AE.

Unfortunately, this option no longer works for some reason any. What it does, it is fundamentally changes the orientation of the actual shape instead of make a rectangle or a perfect circle. Please take a look at the pictures attached for a better understanding of what I'm trying to say. The first image showing my selection without using the SHIFT key pressed, on the second, you see what the SHIFT key for selection. The strangest thing is that it actually worked before and I don't remember everything I've done that could cause this problem.

Please help me solve this problem!

    Thank you!

    Laszlo

    1.png2.png

The mask, you draw them in the lower frame, while holding the SHIFT key, IS a square.  Your composition is 720 x 576 PAL anamorphic, but you don't have pixel preview turned on, so everything is squashed horizontally.  Turn on preview BY correct, IE the button highlighted yellow as shown below.

Thank you, also, for display screen grab.  It makes it so much easier to diagnose the problem.

  • How to draw a circle? duh

How to draw a circle in photoshop elements 8 on a photograph highlighting one feature on the photo that I would like to point out to someone?

I opened the photo, and it is the only layer.

I can create as many layers as I want. So I create a.

When the "edit" tab is active, there is no ellipse tool.

When I click on the "create" tab, then the ellipse tool is present, but the layers box disappeared.

When I click on the ellipse tool and draw my circle, he draws a circle solid obscuring what I would like to highlight. "Selection of stroke [Preview]" in the menu editing is greyed out.

    what Miss me?

Yes, exactly the same thing to post-secondary studies. If you want a perfect circle, hold down SHIFT, and drag with the elliptical marquee, then edit > stroke (outline) selection.
