  Im a noob, a big one at that. I found how to make straight lines, which was not easy but now when I try to make straight lines diagonal it runs always fuzzy.   I installed Firefox 21 on a new Windows 7 operating system. The menu bar and the toolbar at the top of the windows is full small horizontal lines. Sometimes, there are more lines and sometimes less. It makes the icons and menu items almost impossible to see. So far, is that the Firefox screen that made it. Other programs I have installed so far doesn't do this.

  Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

• Portege M800 - horizontal lines on external monitor

  I just bought a number of new M800 (model number - PPM81A-06L01J) and all have second screens connected.

  On all secondary monitors, there are wavy horizontal lines. Secondary monitors are all of different sizes and different brand and model. They are all also on their native resolution and refresh rate. I also got the latest video drivers installed. Any body have an idea as to why this is and how to fix it?

  I n t have a Portege M800, but on my Portege M700 I had some problems with the external monitor connected too.
  Here's the story about this:

  I connected the new external monitor for Portege M700 directly with an old VGA cable. Usually it t wasn't a problem for me but I was not satisfied with the quality of the image on the external monitor (a bit blurry) so I started to update the display driver and the BIOS of my Portege M700 but without success.
  Anyway, I tried a bit with Google and here in the forum and I decided to buy a new high-quality VGA cable. I exchanged the cable and what happens? Perfect image quality!

  As you can see, you should always use high quality new cables. Also, make sure that you use the highest screen resolution of the external display (native screen resolution) and set the refresh rate of the screen at 60 Hz.

  50L4353DB LCD TV - a horizontal black line picture travel and causing blur.

  This problem started tonight on our Toshiba TV, which is two years old next month.

  A black horizontal line on the screen and the image moves and down makes it really hard to read subtitles and so on.

  Connected all the cables out, tv by using the reset menu, still no good.

  just to update. The line is not really black. It is the a lighter shade that color is displayed on the screen. When I brought the menu upwards on the screen, he seems to appear at the edge but not otherwise visible. The online search could be the regulator of T.

  I recently bought a Toshiba 32BL502 32 in Super Slim LED TV - purchased the 11th of this month.

  In my opinion its just not lucky.
  There is no special procedure to connect a display to a blu - ray player or a laptop.
  The display can be ON or OFF which makes no difference.

  Connect the external monitor and check if the same lines would be visible on 2nd screen.
  If these lines are not visible, then it means that the internal display may be defective.
  Otherwise, it might be a graphics card problem if line would appear on two screens.

  I have a m277dw HP printer color laser, purchased two weeks ago. After about 10 pages, he began to print horizontal lines 22 and 23 mm. They are better visible on a single color background. Are still visible on the page of demonstration with ball.

  I see the lines and they are not normal for any laser printer which makes HP.
  
  I suggest trying some different solid color pages that mix the colors as a green page and perhaps a red page.
  
  You can also see the problem in print quality pages that have been mentioned by the previous poster.
  
  You just need to get something where support can see you have a problem and then be insistent that they fix it.
  
  But let's be practical here, you bought less than two weeks, return it and get another, it's probably only a defective cartridge but you should not have to fight the HP support for service.
  
  And I want to return and get a refund then buy the replacement. You want a receipt to go with your new printer clean, clean as in with a good date and anything else on this topic.

• Windows 7 causes problems for screen - horizontal lines

  I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate a week ago and in the last two days, when I started my laptop to the top, after 10 minutes, I get suddenly color horizontal lines in the blocks on my screen (screen goes blue or black with colored lines flicker on it), or it flashes and goes blank.

  My guess would be some corrupted display drivers. What model do you have? Make sure that you install the latest drivers for you OS.

  It's either that, or your graphics card is overheating.

  My father accidentally threw a glass of cola on my computer, on my keyboard. I was able to turn my laptop upside down very quickly and went out of the battery. I then let dry for 24 hours. At first glance the damage seemed limited to my keyboard that I already replaced. Everything else seems to work very well (sound, touchpad, usb ports, hdmi, dvd drive port) until I watched a video. Flickering horizontal lines appeared in the background, which are only slightly visible.   The unit to boot BIOS and check if you get all the lines. If you don't get all the lines in the BIOS screen,

  then update the BIOS and chipset. But if the problem persists then you must send it to the service.

• horizontal line on waveform graph

  Hello world!

  I'm still new to Labview, but I am trying to add a horizontal line to a already established "histogram" on my graph of the waveform. How this code works is that it takes a force of a forceplate (this force Exchange) and trace it as a bar to the left of the graph target (it's their strength of target - height represents the amount of force they wish to exercise). Ideally, you would like these bars have the same height (the person exerting the force uses the same amount as their target). To make it a little easier for them to see the target height, I'm wanting to draw a horizontal line at the height of the target, but keep the bar chart so that they can see how far their strength exercised power comes from their target they grow stronger or softer. Is there an easy way to do this? Ideally I'd like the bar chart and line, but if there must be two lines (one for the target does not move and one for the force that would change) which is very good also.

  you use a waveform graph, not a graphic. Graphic does not markers (which would be the most simple solution to mark the extreme).

  There is a suggestion that I have not tried: http://lavag.org/topic/11199-adding-a-reference-line-to-a-waveform-chart/?p=67119 (some solitions partially work are suggested earlier in the thread, too)

  Suggestion 2) If you need this marker (horizontal) and if your application is not computationally intensive (which does not seem so), I would use a chart and add a horizontal guide. That can be set programmatically: property node > XScale > [MarkerValues] but you will have to replot the graph for each newly received value.

  You only a few days left of warranty then contact HP as soon as POSSIBLE and make a claim. The store may not deal with warranty HP claims then call HP right now. After the phone call, I would visit the store of follow-up.

  It's a motherboard problem, pointed it out the fact that the symptoms appear on the external screen clearly. If it was just the screen of the laptop, you would have a good image on the external monitor. The video card on the motherboard is at the origin of the problem on the external monitor as well.

  Anyway it doesn't matter what is my diagnosis, communicate RIGHT NOW WITH HP AND DO a WARRANTY CLAIM!

• HP Officejet 6600: Horizontal lines when scanning (digital glitch, no debris on scanner)

  Hello, can anyone advise on how to fix the horizontal lines that appear when you use the flat bed scanner (Hp Officejet 6600)?

  This function scan/unit worked well for a year and suddenly breakdowns at each attempt to analyze.  I went through several steps to try to resolve, including zero/restart the printer and the computer.   To clarify, this not a question of debris/ink etc on the bar of the Analyzer or glass; It's a digital bug (see attached image screenshot).

  I can't find many references about it on the HP forums or elsewhere.  If it helps you to offer a response, FYI I use a macbook, which has worked well with this scanner/printer until recently with this problem.  The printer function works fine.  Finally, I just downloaded the latest update from HP for this device through the App Store and it still gives the same error.

  I certainly hope that I can help you with the unrest sweeping have horizontal lines across your scans to your Officejet 6600, you notice your Mac running Yosemite. To add the steps that you have already tried, here are some of my suggestions for you.

  Try these steps in the following order:

  1. Reset the printing system
  2. Repair disk permissions
  3. Restart the Mac.

  5. In addition, to download this driver: HP v3.0 for OS X printer drivers
  6. Try to scan the image

  Also try to make a copy of the front of the printer to see if they also show the flaws.

  Tip: Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.
