  I have a problem with a shortcut customized in Photoshop CS6 and CC. It works fine in Photoshop CS5.

  I put the "CTRL + <" shortcut to the command "flatten image." I use it for years, so it's difficult to change my habits of . I saved the shortcuts and everything works fine until I have restart Photoshop.

  After restarting Photoshop, the shortcut is automatically set on "CTRL + &"! I edited the file ".kys" where my custom shortcut is saved, and the file is good:

• Photoshop CS6 Brush tool is weird.

  Hey yall.

  I have photoshop cs6 and my brush tool is really weird. It is stuck at 100% hardness, and it isn't even the normal hardness that makes the brush.

  I tried to reset the tools. Even went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop. It is still made. I don't know what I can do about it. No idea how?

  It seems that you have selected instead of the pencil tool Brush tool.

  Click and hold on the pencil tool icon in the Toolbox to see the other tools hidden in this niche.

  I've recently updated the camera raw in photoshop cs6 and now when I open an image is smaller then it used to be.  Is there a setting somewhere that this affects?

  Select Fit view from the lower left corner.

  

  Check also under about > Plugin if camera raw version is updated to 9.1.1

  After unchecking "Use graphics processor", quit Photoshop and re-open and check again.  Alternatively, you can try to boot mode safe (which will also disable the graphic processor).  To return to 13.0, unfortunately the only way I know how is to uninstall Photoshop and reinstall, but it isn't as long process and retains all of your settings.

  That said, these are just two alternatives - if the graphics processor is disabled, performance will suffer significantly in Photoshop.  If go back you to 13.0, performance is acceptable, but you don't have support of the retina.  Apple referred me to Adobe on this matter, and as I saw no graphical problems in other programs (including Lightroom), I tend to believe it's a matter of Photoshop.

• PSD Photoshop CS6 file sizes vs TIFF

  I know that there are many threads there with regard to the advantages/disadvantages of savings in the PSD or TIF, but for the time being, I am still confused on some things and embarking on an exercise where I'll be editing or reissue a lot of images - that is why, I would like to do things the first time if I can.

  My immediate question is if anyone can shed some light on the reason why an image that I save as TIF is 395 MB (in the Finder) - and the same image saved as PSD with no other change is "55 mb.

  Over the years, I've almost always saved as TIF without compression - I never saved by any form of TIF compression.  But the disparity in this case between a TIF to 395 MB file and a PSD file 55Mo tells me there is something important, I do not understand.  Reason for the question is not only the huge disparity in the size of the file, but because I am also leaning heavily toward saving all my images under PSD as I advance in my project.

  My concern is I missed something in a 55 MB PSD file vs a 395 MB TIF file or PSD just that much more effective than TIF?  I have many other images that I saved as a TIF and PSD where the uncompressed TIF file is maybe bigger than the file PSD - but nothing like this one, with a gap of 55-395 MB 50pct.

  Would appreciate any comments from what seems like many who are well informed on the issue of PSD vs TIF.

  When you save a Tiff file you have much more save option.  You can save files compressed or compressed, you can choose what compression to use. You can save flattened or with layers.

  Save record PSD layers and you can set the size of the file with some of your preferences for the PSD in Photoshop files.   You can disable compression and save data options for maximum compatibility for older versions of Photoshop.

  PSD has a 2 GB file limit, but you can save the file larger layers using Tiff limited to 4 GB and PSB files limited by free space in other words of large file with PSB.

  Some applications can read a Tiff file, but not PSD files.  Some applications that can read the Tiff file will use the tiff full composite layer. They do not support the other layers. As Lighroom does not support layers other layers that are in tiff format are not used. TIFF with other layers have efect conposit layer lightroon conversions first changes is no longer can be adjusted to layer coposite necessitated changed by an image editior.

• Photoshop CS6 brushes produce is not as standard

  Problems with the project of painting with fifteen layers up to now. CS6 using compared to the clouds.  Set essentials on the paint mode. Painting in black on white bg creates a translucent gray 20% black.  I paint the upper layer with 100% black with brush round base full but cannot get the colors of full power. Position of the layer is placed on top. Brush settings: size 100% 100% flow: Jig & spacing - zero.  Maximum hard, gray = result.

  As a test, I created a new canvas with white bg and a round brush the value flow & 100% size. He painted black Uni without problem.

  Conclude that there is something not right in project in layers.  Any ideas?

  Hello, is this the same brush in both cases?

  Any option is checked in the options bar?

  There is no mask, or hidden selection?

  If you are painting on a layer, make sure that it is at 100% opacity, blending mode set to normal.

• Photoshop CS6 - brush appears grainy

  With the hardness of 0% twhat should be a nice

  HM, I wasn't able to reproduce the problem without noise checked in the settings of the brush, but it doesn't seem to be the case here. In addition, I don't think that your graphics card would be the issue since the gradient looks smooth.

• Photoshop CS6 brush pressure sensitivity doesn't work is not on the Microsoft Surface Pro.

  I just bought a Microsoft Surface Pro for Photoshop running on this subject.  I installed Photoshop and tried to make some sketches.  I created a new file and began sketching.  Immediately, I felt as if something was wrong.  I checked my brush settings and saw that the pressure sensitivity was not available.  Everytine I tried to put it on it was marked by an exclamation point.

  Does anyone know if Adobe supports new microsoft pressure sensitive pen, or if there is some sort of definition that I'm missing?  I tried sketchbook pro 2011, and that works surprisingly well with the pen.  I hope someone can help me along here, because if this tablet really can run photoshop, it would be a game changer.

  Microsoft is aware of this problem with their driver software.

  Many other applications (not just Adobe) are also affected.

  I HAV been using PS cs6 for last 1 n hav months never encounter problems or errors, but today when I started to paint a problem for soft brushes made its appearance...

  It works great for hard brushes, but when I go to the soft brush at the edge of the brush appears grainy... I reinstalled the hav software, but does not work...

  I don't know m using the same configuration for CS5 and it works very well in PS cs5, why all of a sudden this problem occurred. (sys config.: Win7 64 bit, 1 GB, 6 GB ram, core i3 processor NVIDIA graphics card)

  However when I go to mac to find them in the finder, I don't see the brushes or the presets folder in this directory path?

  The library of the user is hidden, try alt-click on the GB - meu item in the Finder and raise this library.

• Photoshop CS6 recently why Marquee and Lasso tools stop working correctly?

  I purchased Production Premium CS6 several years.  Recently, my marquee selection tool and lasso will not bring a selection once.  In order to reuse them, I have to restart Photoshop, but can only use the tools once. I can't use the shortcut (Ctrl Alt Shift) when opening Photoshop to reset the default preferences because Photoshop does not open when Ctrl Alt Shift are pressed and held.  I tried the manual technique to reset the preferences by removing the preferences of psp file.  But the end result is the same - the tools work only once.  It's happening now with the type tool as well.  I tried to see if my graphics card is causing the problem, but it's not.  In fact, the selection tools work not at all when I 'use the graphics processor' unchecked.  I have the latest update for Photoshop: 13.0.1 x 64 what do I do now?

  Well, the problem has been resolved.  I recently installed the software synergy to share my keyboard and mouse between two computers.  As soon as I stopped synergy, the selection tools in Photoshop worked properly.  Synergy also caused selection problems in Microsoft Word.  Thanks to all those who responded so quickly to my question.

• Photoshop CS6 in PSE 12 keyboard shortcuts

  The structure of the file .kys changed in CS6?  I'm used to be able to use the keyboard shortcuts in CS5 with my wife's cell phone.  We went recently to CS6 on my desk and PES 12 on his cell phone, and now the keyboard shortcuts I want to copy of CS6 to PSE not only don't work, but are removed by PSE its release.  I put an old file of keyboard shortcuts.psp that I had cs5, and it works very well and is not deleted.

  If my conclusion that the shortcuts are different and incompatible is correct, there's no work around for this?

  It seems that the cs6 shortcuts do not work in ESP 12 and they do not work in photoshop cs5, then adobe changed something.

  Anyway, it is probably best to use the keyboard shortcuts in photoshop cs5, as PES 12 is mainly based on the code of photoshop cs5.

  It saves the message you get in photoshop cs5 when trying to load a file of keyboard shortcuts in photoshop cs6.

  

• Photoshop CS6 - shortcuts are very fickle and sometimes do not work.

  Lately acted strange my keyboard shortcuts. For example, if I Cmd + click on a layer have selected marquee, and then start filling it with a brush, I am unable to deselect it by using Cmd + D, or make a new layer with Cmd + N or any shortcut for that matter. I have to first click outside the selection with my brush keyboard shortcuts for starting work.
  Whenever I select a new tool, I can't set the opacity of the brush, for example, using the number keys. I had to actually click on the opacity, and then shortened numbers work.

  Someone had this problem? It seems as if the type shortcuts keyboard to work, but only at specific times.

  It all started when I upgraded to the Mavericks of OSX and it seems that many people have had similar problems, but none of their solutions worked in the slightest for me.

  Second idea: Edition > keyboard shortcuts. When the dialog box appears, hold down the Option key. Cancel will be Reset. Click on the one to bring it to the default values.

  Third idea: right or Ctrl-click on a tool in the Toolbar Options icon and select «Reset all tools»

• Printing from Photoshop CS6 to new Canon Pixma Pro-100 shrunken output?

  When you print 8.5 x 11 "Photoshop cs6 (any size) on the new Canon Pixma Pro100, it prints about 25 percent of the correct size.  Starting up page & vprinter settings checked, together correctly this is a file I printed often previous printer (canon pro 9000) without problem. I deleted and added the new printer to queue in the preferences. I'm confused as to what could cause this problem. Adobe compatibility? or the new pro 100 Canon printer driver? any advice?  Should I remove folder utiliities Canon. (I had a hellish time, installation of the printer software, gave up to get wireless to work, so its usb plugged). But why some files psd print properly, often the first attempts to print are narrowed, but then get corrected, but some I can't get the file to print anything, but this small size! maddening! very grateful for any advice. I'm on deadline! (Photoshop cs6, Yosemite)

  • Press and hold the SPACEBAR button before you click on file > print

  And then try to print and verify that you get the same result.
