Should I buy a Macbook Pro now or wait?

Well Hello

Although not a technical support question, I just wanted to ask the community on my decision to come. Quick note, I work in it and have already decided on the Macbook Pro because of the needs of its use and don't need no recommendation based on form, thank you!

So, I put aside enough money to buy the Macbook Pro I've wanted for awhile now, I need a smaller but still powerful computer. Currently I have a 17 ""notebook"made for the game and it's a monstrosity away truly mobile heavy." This is beyond powerful with 32 GB of RAM, an i & - 4870HQ, one of the fastest SSD m2 on this side of the industry and it rips a GTX 980 M with 4 GB of video memory dedicated. What I'm basically is that I really don't need another PC, I need something that is both powerful and lightweight and I can't comfortable wear everywhere where I need to.

The next factor is the fact that I'll be moving to Indonesia in October. I need a cell phone smaller, lighter for the work that I can run a virtual machine with Windows to on it for work, whether through VirtualBox or Parallels. Believe it or not, concurrent computer virtual running independent of the OS can be very demanding! Also Apple products are a status symbol there. However, rumors, which I know that no one can confirm officially, pointing to a late summer or early fall release of the new Macbook Pro, but since WWDC is around the corner I think I'll wait and see if Apple chooses to surprise us. After that WWDC is when I will make my final decision, and that the decision is whether I should buy a Macbook Pro now or wait until the new is revealed. I love the promotion they have going now where you the beats certainly of high quality solo2 helmet and education, discount that I can use since I started back to school to get an MBA.

Yes, sorry to be long-winded and irrelevant, once or twice but I really appreciate all the comments. I expect many many time to make this purchase. I used to dislike apple products until I realized how beautifully, they are built and the high quality of the materials and the intuitive user interface. Already, I have an iPhone 6, an Apple Watch, an iPad Pro with the pencil of the Apple and the keyboard, and even this types on a keyboard of magic. I can't replace my PC awesome game, but I need something not quite as powerful, but a lot more portable.

TL; DR: Should I wait until the new Macbook Pro is out or take advantage of the current promotion and get a current model, and yes I am aware that the current model is more than a year.

Yes, thoughts? And thank you for your time!

You are the only person who can answer this question. All I can tell you is that I have a MBP 2014 and it's always great. I think you'll be happy no matter which you get.

  • Should I buy a MacBook Pro now or wait for the WWDC

    Hello

Well, I want to buy a MacBook Pro (my first one ever). However, I have read on some sites there is a new version of the MacBook Pro this year (at WWDC).

Now I'm totally confused. I want to use a MacBook Pro 15 "(8 Go de RAM et 552 Go SSD) to work on large data / Business Intelligence technologies and programming."

But I don't know if I have to wait for these new features or go ahead and buy this one now. And if these new features will be most useful for what I want to do.

    Thanks in advance.

Apple has specifically discourages discussions on these forums about what and when the new products will be introduced and what changes there may be.

The best advice is, what your needs are and this current model meets the.  If so, buy it, if not, don't buy it.   My observation of past changes in the introduction of new models is that the changes are incremental, not radical.  My primary MBP is a 2011 model (with 16 GB of RAM and an SSD hard drive) and I still do not feel outclassed by the current culture.

    Ciao.

  • Buy 2015 MacBook Pro now or wait for 2016 model?

My 'vintage' 2009 MacBook Pro 13 '' is very, very slowly.  Should I buy a 2015 now or wait for the 2016 model?  Thank you

Do you need one now? If so, buy it now.

    Can you expect? Then wait.

  • Should I buy a MacBook Pro to the Japan?

I am traveling to Japan in February and I was thinking of buying a MacBook (I don't know if I have to buy the macbook Air or MacBook Pro yet) I'm from South America, and I don't know if I should buy one to Japan, because of the keyboard and it loads in South America

Load the auto-commutateur blocks 120-240.  The wall-end-power cable changes of country.  Adaptation and new kits "end-track only cords can be purchased.

I suspect that Japanese stores have Japanese keyboards only and mapping of key with key-labels would be difficult.  But I suspect that it is a problem.

Maybe some import duty when you return home and rights to export when you leave... maybe.

I'm considering buying a MacBook Pro 15 inch. I use programs such as Stata, for big calculations. What is my best option?

Either of the 15 "MBPr come with 16 GB of RAM and because it appears that RAM is paramount for Stata then one of them should be able to manage it.

Is the portability of paramount importance for you? If this isn't the case, you might consider an iMac. You get more for your money from a laptop to a desktop computer. In addition, the RAM on the iMac can be improved if need more later. From what I've read on Stata resembling an important consideration.

  • Have desktop PC, you want to buy a MacBook Pro.  Best way to have the Adobe software on both?  I have 4 products from Adobe installed on PC.

    Hello

I have a young PC Desktop with PS CS6, LR 5, AI CS6 and PES 11 installed.  I'm going to teach photography classes and therefore need a laptop.  I want to buy a MacBook Pro.  What is the best way to get my Adobe on the Mac software?  I know I could use Boot Camp or turn it into a "virtual" Windows machine  These two deteriorating performance.  Is there a better way?

    Thank you

AFAIK, the versions in box elements (Photoshop and first) programs have two versions... If you purchased via download, only one version, so you will have to buy again to get the other version... and P.Elements 14 is now updated

CS6 exchanging platform, but as much as I know you do not get to keep your old version

The only current cross-platform license is for the cloud, which allows two activations, and maybe it's a on each platform

    To burn iTunes:

GO to iTunes > help > using iTunes and search for burn and go to burn CDs and DVDs

Try to publish the iDVD forum to burn old iDVD projects since Apple dropped to iDVD a couple of Mac OS x versions there are.

  • Hi, I buy Adobe DC pro now and in two months I will replace my computer. Would I be able to install my Accrobat bought in my new computer?

Hi, I buy Adobe DC pro now and in two months I will replace my computer. I was able to install my Accrobat bought in my new computer.

    Hi Bruno.

    Yes, you can.

Licenses are managed by signing with your Adobe Acrobat DC identification code you install Acrobat DC on the new computer, log in and you will work.

It would be a good idea to disconnect the first, but not required, that you can manage from your Adobe account.

you need a serial number for mac lr.  the serial number for pc and mac are different.

Lightroom serial number is unique because it is cross-platform: works on PC and Mac.

    Same serial number for both.

  • I changed my apple on my macbook pro, now I can't connect my mini mac ID. Any ideas anyone?

    Hi people,

seems that I myself lost in the ICloud/Apple ID implemented the system here. I changed my Apple on my Macbook Pro (mid-2014 running El Capitan 10.11.5) ID and now can't log in to my Mac mini. The new password set up on the Macbook Pro is not recognized on the Mini and I can't seem to login screen to study. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried the old password on the Mini?

I've never used an iCloud password to connect to my Mac as he seemed always destined to fail. It seems also Apple removed this possibility, but this does not affect those who made possible it. If you manage to get back in and somehow change the password, you cannot use the password to iCloud.

I don't know if this will help, but you can reset the password to a different admin login, if you have a.

    Otherwise, start in Recovery.

From the Utilities menu, choose Terminal.

Type the following command and press return

    ResetPassword

A utility opens when you select the hard disk and a user account, and then reset the password.

Quit the utility, and then restart when finished.

This will not change your Keychain password. You should try the old password or reset the keychain, thus losing all of your passwords.

I don't know how an iCloud password affects the connection ring, however.

  • Should I get a Macbook Pro or an iPad Pro to use for the next two years while I do my A-Levels?

    Hi all!

So I am currently doing my GCSE, I'm looking to my future at school aka Sixth Form (A-Levels). I won't be carrying massive files that weigh tons and can easily broken / lost files kept in the breast, as do the current year. However, I checked with my school and they say that you can use the technology as an alternative. Instantly I thought to Apple, since I love their products and buy regular. I have a Apple Watch, 6 s iPhone and an iPad 2 Air (we sell) but I want something new and powerful, I can use for Sixth Form.

So my question is, should I get a Macbook (any model) or a Pro iPad with accessories?

    I take:

Technical design - so should run CAD, Word, be fundamentally powerful and able to have sketches.

Media Studies - must be able to manage several videos 4K and execution of things such as Word, books, and iMovie.

Geography-Easy access to the internet anywhere, possibility to draw diagrams and just to run applications etc and be good at watching documentaries, etc.

Mathematics - internet access and video on good quality, easily be able to write notes and information.

So which one should I buy? Please can you help me

Given your needs, a MacBook Pro seems to be more appropriate.
