  OK, this may sound silly, but I have to write an application to access an Oracle database. Prior development in other languages used ODBC and works very well. VS.NET using OLE DB works as well.
  
  However, I installed ODT with ODAC 11.10.6.21 and tried. I get an error while trying to access the data.
  
  When I run the conn.open (), I get:
  ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified
  
  I opened the TNSNames.ora file and allows to create the just in case connection string. But I still get the error.
  
  My guess is that the client on my system is too old, or maybe the Oracle server still running an older version.
  
  Is there an easy way for me to identify the latest version of the client and the version of Oracle running on the server, I installed?
  
  No, I can't just ask the people who manage the server or I would have done it already. I am a contractor here and it is very difficult for me to get through to those who know it.

• install on the client computer

  Hello

  I need to install the first and AE on a computer of customers for a few days.  I already have all the CC programs installed on my main post and a couple on an old laptop that wasn't used enough powerful so never really them.  I wish now to remove (or disable) the my laptop and install it on a laptop clients for a few days... However, I don't want to install all the CC gumph resulting (downloader etc.).  I am certainly not automatic updates or something like that.  I want to just install first and AE for an event on-line we do and then remove it later.

  Please can someone advise how best to do this.  I certainly don't want to risk automatic updates or reminders on my cell phone to customers... just want the first and AE there (my license of laptop as such).

  you will need to connect to the ESX host in which your vCenter VM runs on, off, then make a right click on it to upgrade virtual hardware.

  Be sure to upgrade the tools of comments first however.

  I use oracle 10g 10.2.0.3 in an AIX environment. There are two servers that has the same configuration (name of the database, OS). a production environment and another is for test purposes.
  
  The customer, I often connect in both. Sometimes I confuse if I am in the production or test server server. because the name of the database is the same.
  I have an idea that if I know the database server's IP, so I can understand what a server I'm using m.
  
  But how do I know the server IP? can you please help me in this matter? If there is another solution to the problem said, please let me know.

  I tried to run a repair on vCenter Converter of add/remove programs however I get the following error:

  "Cannot save the extension.

  I restarted the server as well and still no change.

  If you have changed the IP address on the VC, your best option is probably uninstall the Update Manager and converter, once again.  delete their directories under \program files\vmware\infrastructure\ installation, restart and install again.

  In my plugin I would ask the user to provide me with a local of files I need to upload to the server (server blank when my Java code is running). Since flex is launched in the sandbox inside the browser, they provide an API for downloading files the from/to the URL of the server built-in. Is it possible to define my own servlet (or something like that) inside the Virgo vSphere server to listen for the event upload? Y at - it another possibility to upload a file from the client flex on the server?

  Yes it is possible, but it is not recommended to download the large amount of data to the client Web server.  Don't forget that your java plugin is just a transmission in your own background when real business logic and/or data sources are provided.  You might as well send the file directly to your back-end, there is no reason to keep it on the server of the Web client.

• Cannot uninstall the Client Services for Netware on Win XP sp3.

  Try to restore the screen of welcome on Windows XP sp3. Not connected to the server netware in any way. Client for Netware only qualified auto service and only option is to start. When trying to start the service says that the system cannot find the specified file.   might be interesting to try the following, go to control panel, click internet connections, your internet connection make a right-click, and then click the Properties tab, it should open this connection uses the following items box.

  the trick is to reinstall it first and then uninstall it later.    Click the install it should open another box box should be the client services for netware and Songbird for microsoft, highlight the client service for netware, and then click on install let the computer install it and restart the computer, then go back in to the Control Panel on the internet, and click connections right properties, once the box opens again it should now have the client service for netware inside now just uninstall highlight and click on uninstall, let the computer uninstall, then restart your computer again, click on Control Panel and use click on modify use way connect you now the home screen should be on.
