sign hangs on the preparation of windows on windows 8.1

Hello

I am on Windows 8.1 Immidio. I configured everything according to the Administrator's guide. He is running on vSphere 6 and 6.1 Horizon with Volumes of the App.

Without Immidio I can log on to the desktop and everything works normally.

As soon as I activate Immidio via GPO (login script or run as an extension of Group Policy) login hangs on "preparing windows." I can never connect.

I checked the Immidio logs and everything seems ok. No error is reported.

When I connect without Immidio and I start flexengine.exe - r manually, I get the configuration (shortcuts and so on). So I know that my config is ok.

Has anyone seen this problem?

We are aware of a problem with the feature view Agent smart card Redirection.

Please try to delete the Redirection of the map feature smart and let me know if that solves the problem.

  • Satellite P300 with XP hangs at the screen "starting windows."

I recently bought the Satellite P300 - 01 and had XP installed on it. I have fixed all the problems except for the question, that I'm going to start.

When I turn on the laptop it loads everything flashes on the login screen and then hangs at 'starting windows' screen If I turn it off and then again about three times this issue finally arrives with the login screen. There was an ASP.NET account, and after the BIOS update that he disappeared, but the problem is still there? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    > There was an ASP.NET account, and he disappeared after the update of the BIOS
The whole story is really strange

I put t know how you installed XP on this laptop and why an ASP.NET account was created or exist, but in your case I would recommend doing so again.
Then install all service packs, hotfixes and patches of the XP!

Simply show words on XP on P300.
A friend of mine has installed XP on a P300 yesterday too and the XP works well
    Everything works fine!

  • Virtual Appliance update hangs during the preparation stage of files

It is a continuation of my attempt to upgrade this thread saga:

I've been trying again to do the upgrade, but the last 2 attempts seem to stagnate outside in the scene where he says that she prepares the files, and mail is still delivered. Since it's the virtual appliance, I could make a snapshot before starting and then go back to it in case of failure, which I am very happy for.

This same problem happened to me on an update there are several years and Sonicwall tech support person he restarted just for me and then again upgrade - if I remember correctly - and then it worked. But when I tried, he got always outside. Is there anything else I can try?

Make sure you use the correct upgrade file.

The one that ends with. sh.

Make sure also that he has not been renamed or had added nothing to it when downloaded and saved.

The other that you download is for the deployment of a new virtual appliance.

If you are very low on disk space, you may need to look at what is using that space.

    What is the junkbox?

You probably want to prosecute and to talk to a technician.

If there is not enough free space, the upgrade process may fail.

  • Windows hangs at the splash screen (Windows startup screen), but works after restart

I encountered this problem recently. On my Dell XPS M1530, when I turn on the laptop after a few hours, windows gets stuck at the start-up screen. I restart it once, and once again, it gets stuck on the start screen. But when I restart twice, windows starts successfully.

When I turned off the computer and launch until it is physically hot, then windows starts successfully. But when I start the computer after his East become physically cold to room temperature, again the problem starts. I've never seen this kind of problem never or don't want to believe that windows or equipment can be affected by temperatures. It's almost as if windows starts up when the laptop is pretty hot.

Anyone any idea what the problem is?

    Hello

As you experience the same in Safe Mode, it may be the case of a faulty hardware or a damaged system file. However, we can run a Microsoft Fix itfirst to troubleshoot your Windows system performance and restart your device after execution of this. If the problem persists, we can also try the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. After execution of the auditor of the files System tool you will see the result, if there is a file system damaged the cause of the problem.

If there is no corrupted files, it is indeed a defective hardware, and we ask you to contact your manufacturer to resolve the problem suggests. Please see this link for manufacturer support website for your.

Note: you must enter correctly on your desktop to run the Microsoft it Fix tool and auditor of the files System tool.

My laptop recently posted a message saying that he would automatically restart in 15 minutes to install a Windows Update.  After 15 minutes, it restarts and a screen will appear that says "Configuring Windows updates.  Do not turn off your computer. "He started to install, then stalled to the point 13%.  I rebooted several times, and it keeps the timing at this point.  I can't go past this screen for something else, so I have no use of the computer right now.  Y at - it a fix for this problem?  Thank you.

What is the brand and model of your computer?

    Hello Lenovo community,

When I try to install the copy of Windows 8 I got with my Lenovo S440 in a virtual machine environment

the installation hangs on windows startup screen. I've never seen a Windows 8 installation

procedure before, so I booted my laptop from the installation media to check if it is corrupted.

It works very well. A loading circle dot is displayed the logo after a few seconds and that after quiet

some time the wizard of lenovo is shown... so there must be a problem with the virtual machine.

I have attached a screenshot to show you where it crashes.

It would be great help ! Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I think that reinstall drive wouldn't work on a virtualized machine, only directly on the Lenovo hardware, in order to prevent the copy of Windows, more whatever additional licensed software is on the media, to be pirated.

My best advice would be to insert a blank HARD drive in Lenovo ThinkPad S440, use the recovery media, produce an installation complete on the HARD drive and then run a program to convert the HARD physical disk to a virtual machine, as Microsoft Sysinternals Disk2VHD.

  • Sign tiny function on the calculator of Windows fonts (. + - *)

The Windows Calculator, function keys fonts are almost microscopic.  The sign is not much bigger than the tiny period. Similarly for the + and * function of signs.  For 20 years, I had to squint and peer closely at the screen when you use the Windows calculator.  Is this usability flaw ever going to set?  If it has been fixed in Windows 7?  Is there a huge technical reason why signs of the function cannot be larger than the main fonts numbers?

In Windows 7, it's the same thing.  I guess the assumption is that one should know where the keys are.  Would be nice if you could change the font size.  There is this...

  • Windows XP hangs at the splash screen (logo). Dim screen when hooked.

I do have problems starting XP 2 on two different hard drives.  I'm more concerned at this time is described in the title.  I bought a new hard drive (Western Digital Caviar Blue WD3200AAKS 320) to back up the data on my old hard drive, due to the other XP startup problem and installed Windows XP Home edition, as well as my motherboard drivers, etc..  It starts very well, at first, but then started a curtain to the start screen (and the splash screen is very low in this case).  I tried to remove some additional applications provided with the motherboard, no luck.  I tried to reinstall XP several times, and who has not helped.  I tried to update my video driver, running chkdsk, running Windows Memory Diagnostic (which does no problem), cleaning the registry with Advanced System Care Pro, unplug all USB devices and network cable, etc.  He continues to hang at the splash screen (weakly).  When I try to start in safe mode, it hangs at "mup.sys.  So far, I'm able to get XP to start by repeated restart later...  I searched the web to find a solution for this and have found no definitive answer.  I just ordered another new hard drive and Windows 7.  I intend to dual boot with windows 7 the new HD and XP on the current disc (assuming that this problem can be solved!).

My other problem is on my old sister Hitachi 160 GB IDE hard drive.  A few months, our PC stop working.  After buying a new power supply (Corsair TX650w) and determine that he was not a power supply problem, I bought a new motherboard (GA-MA785GT-UD3H), (AMD Phenom II X 2 555 3.2 Ghz) CPU, RAM (CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) 240 - Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333), and some new fans (old system died due to heat issues).  Once I had it put in place and I tried to boot XP from my old drive, he just went in a "boot loop".  He gets to the XP splash screen, goes black and restarts, again and again.  I tried setting the installation of XP with XP CD 3 or 4 times, without success.  This question is not as big of a deal to me now, because I now have the new hard drive with the new number to start XP (intermittent).  My main goal with the old hard drive was to save all my data.  That is, life turns on if I can't start XP on this drive (the one with the boot loop).

    Thank you for your time!

The BIOS update has * seems * solved the problem!  I rebooted it 4 or 5 times, but also completely off the PC and it starts today.  Did not repeat the problem so far!

    Hello jabeena, welcome.

This section would apply in fact to the Windows Live programs, but we'll see what we can do to help out you.

I recommend to try this first:

    1. disable any antivirus software or security, you have running on your computer. Looking for software to disable that contains a firewall.

    2. click on START
    3. Type "cmd" (without the quotes). Right-click on the result at the top of the menu START and select 'run as administrator '.
4 type the following and press enter

    Regsvr32 softpub.dll wintrust.dll initpki.dll

    5. then type the following command and press enter

    netsh winsock reset

    6. restart your computer and see what happens.
