Sign up for Windows 10 upgrade without applying it again?

Hello world

I have a problem where I just built a new computer; However, some parts are a bit Pluss to enjoy a very powerful hardware, which is now on sale for a few cents on the dollar. My plan was always to run it as a workstation running as a dual boot of Windows 10 Pro combined with Ubuntu.

The problem is that, at least currently, 10 Windows doesn't seem to work on this computer. I ruled out problems with the hardware by performing various tests of memory and heavy benchmarks of CPU/GPU and other parts. In addition, Windows 7 Pro and Linux are completely solid and stable on my machine. It's only 10 in Windows that has a problem. I'm stuck in a situation where even if I own a copy of Windows 7 Pro and WANT to upgrade to Windows 10, I can not actually complete the process.

It is the question of the title play. Is there a way to get the Windows 10 now upgrade without the application/install, so that I can improve in the future when I hope some driver issue causing failure gets sorted?

Just in case a person pick up trying to solve my problem of upgrade, I should probably know you what I got. Otherwise, it is unnecessary to read below this line.

This isn't a case of non-compliant to the minimum requirements. The uses of machines Dual Xeon E5 - 2670 s. So he has 16 cores / 32 threads clocked at 2.6 GHz to 3.3 GHz after turbo, 16 GB RAM, GPU GTX 1070 and a ton of space extra drive since the new SSD that contains the operating system is almost completely empty. This is probably in the ballpark of 50 times as a powerful calculating some of the lowest Atom based 2-in-1 pills I have Windows 10 running with no problems.

I could install Windows Pro 10 separately, on the clean machine it installing directly from a USB key. Fortunately, I decided to test it out first and was not actually paid to activate it again. 10 Windows systematically planted within approximately 20 minutes to reach the office. Sometimes he would break within seconds or boot even not completely. No combination of drivers that I could install doesn't seem to make much of one difference other than upgrading the motherboard Intel Chipset fichier.inf that actually of much worse things. I tried to reinstall Windows 10, change all the options in the BIOS I could think, removing every extra piece of hardware and even disable the on-board motherboard RAID cards just so that I wouldn't have to install the drivers for them. Windows 10 crashes still in safe mode. The only consistent errors in the event viewer for each accident spoke of Windows not be shut down properly.

Windows 7 Pro worked perfectly the first time. I thought that maybe an upgrade of Windows 7 could get a little better since it began with the basic drivers might be different. However, my guess is that the upgrade process should run on a basis of different software that the clean install because the upgrade always results in a random crash (different locations each time) which means of course that do the upgrade is impossible.

If anyone has any ideas on the upgrade that I have not tried, I'm all ears. However, I think I hit all the low-lying fruit, so I just want to know if there is a way to register for the upgrade so that I can try it again a year or two from now when maybe they will have addressed the issue.

I think whats causing the upgrade to fail is the complexity of the installation itself.

Unfortunately, Windows 10 must be installed and enabled to take advantage of the free upgrade.

There is one way, you might be eligible for it.

Install and activate Windows 10 using your Windows 7 Professional product key.

Once you've got the right digital, your system can install Windows new 10 at any time in the future and automatically reactivates.

  • Qosmio X 300 - 15U - key product for Windows 7 upgrade disc

    Hi all
    first post here :)

I have a Qosmio X 300 15U and just bought DVD update for the operating system: to Vista64 for Windows 7 (home premium).
I got it by Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade site.

I installed the upgrade and it works fine, so far.
Only possible problem for the future, is that I can't find product key label Windows 7 attached to the case of paper (probably lost) DVD
I have the DVD (for other series, almost...)

Anyone know if it is possible to make the Toshiba support, send my old Windows 7 key product or a new (only in the case of reinstall...)
It also appears that Microsoft has validated my install via their tool (WGA, I think)
I have to go back to using MS (paid), for such a (simple, for me) case?
    Hope not.

    Thank you very much.

    Bye,.

    Diego

I don't know if Toshiba can send you a new label productkey, you must call the assistance service. But to find your product, you need a key research tool.
Try [link: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/productkeysactivation/tp/topkeyfinder.htm] for a list of these programs.

  • Qosmio F50-126 not supprted for Windows 7 upgrade?

I get really angry with Toshiba and Windows 7 upgrade option.
I'm really excited about the upgrade of my Qosmio F50 - 126 to Windows 7 from Vista Home Premium.
But after doing a little research on issues related to the upgrade, I burst into anger.

I went to this link [http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P50000R01.htm] to check if my phone is supported, but because I paid a lot of money for it I have it MUST have.

But guess what... IT IS NOT!

In addition to this... It says on the website that the notbook not mentioned will get "limited support"!
WHAT? my 1999 MACHINE VA GET LIMIT dollar taken in CHARGE for WINDOWS SEVEN!

That I am, I guess to do... buy another Toshiba or sue to get the money and buy a new one?
Does that mean I can't run windows 7 will be of all drivers runnin? WHAT SHOULD I DOOO DARN?

    Hi mate

Guess what? I have an older A210 home
I installed Win 7 on it and everything works fine!
As you can see it the A210 is not listed as a supported series Win7, but it should be a serious reason does not install a Win7 on it?

I didn t find official drivers on the driver Toshiba page but I could perceive my own hand, I used tools of free hardware diagnosis, which helped determine the installed devices
I took the time to learn all the drivers, but it wasn't a big problem

Thus, even your laptop is not listed in the page, you will be able to use Windows 7 and will be able to collect the necessary drivers

  • HP Wireless Assistant for Windows 8 (upgrade of Windows 7) (HP Probook 6450 b)

Computer laptop HP ProBook 6450 b basic model

    Purchased in September 2011.

Just yesterday upgraded to Windows 8. Was a child, all game worked initially. During the restart, I disabled the wireless since installation of Windows Defender wasnot.

Then I realized, I can't turn on wireless. The button is just disabled.

Can only be connected on the local network.

Search on the web revealed HP Wireless Assistant be the culprit. This should be removed before the upgrade in Win 7.

It is now too late.  Does anyone have a resolution for this one?

    Thank you

I read in another post that changing the default BIOS settings should do the trick.

    That seems to work:

    -Stop the laptop

-Remove the power cable & battery

-Press the on switch for 30 seconds

    -Power home

    -Laptop power and press F10

-Enter the BIOS and set the changes to default

    That seemed to work.

Of course, restarting do not work and that is easy to fix (driven from power!).

Thank you all for the advice.

  • C309g-m: can't scan for Windows 10 Upgrade

After the upgrade to Widnows 10, I have all kinds of problems with my printer (cable) network analysis.  I am tryng to scan to a PDF file that has worked in Windows 7.  Here are the steps I've tried so far:

I run the scan from the printer, select the "Scan to Computer", then «Document PDF» options  After a few seconds, an error appears on my computer: unable to perform the analysis because another program or computer using the networked HP imaging device. Try again later.

Run the scan from the HP Solution Center app, I get the same error as above.

I am able to perform a Webscan from the Web page (http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/webScan.htm) by opening Windows Explorer, clicking Network and by double-clicking the printer.  For me, it is just a workaround that I won't be stuck with permanently.

I was about to uninstall all the HP software and drivers, but when I go into Add/Remove Programs, they do not appear in the list.  Then I found the option Uninstall HP in the Start Menu, but even the HP uninstaller program detects not all installed software.  Then I went to download the latest drivers from HP hope installer would improve everything, but the installer says all drivers and software was already installed and up-to-date (which I doubt, it is updated because I "didn't at least one year).

Don't know where to go from here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • The Windows Home Premium OEM for Windows Professional upgrade

Normally, I go with the professional version of Windows.  After checking the differences between Windows 7 Edition Home Premium and professional, it appeared the only features I'd lose with Home Premium vs professional would be Bitlocker XP compatibility and the ability to join a domain.  I installed Home Premium 64 bit and it works fine.

I recently updated my Acronis True Image backup software for the 2011 version.  This software is not particularly concerned for Windows 7 and it really don't like NAS devices.  A backup of maybe 10 gig of the NAS can take a day, if it is completed, and restores files are not reliable.  I decided sync critical files to the NAS to a local drive, where they could be saved easily.

After much pulling hair I have determined that the file sync feature is missing in the Home Premium, as confirmed in several forums, including this one.  The lack of this feature is not mentioned in most graphic comparison of Microsoft, including a detailed version comparison matrix I found on this forum.

Sync Center option is present in the Home Premium version, however, it does not allow the implementation of a "sync partnership.  It won't let me map a network drive, my local machine, but I already did.  lt is a version update is in order.

It seems not be a cost-effective way for the owner of OEM upgrade to professional or ultimate edition.  Anyone with a computer bought in a retail store or a system integrator, likely an OEM license.  Him 'anytime upgrade' professional costs $90 while the ultimate load of $140.

It's quite a chunk of change, especially for a story that should have been there all along and the absence of which is never mentioned by Microsoft.  I paid $110 for Home Premium OEM.  The Professional OEM version would cost $149.  If I had to do the upgrade anytime I would have to pay almost what I paid for the operating system and I will be stuck with an OEM version that cannot be moved to another system.

Microsoft has a method to upgrade from OEM versions at a reasonable cost?  If I buy the $90 total time to upgrade that will the license be moved to another system if it loses their motherboard?

Just to clarify, Bitlocker is available only in the enterprise and Ultimate editions.

Not available in home edition Premium Windows 7 Professional features:

    -Domain join

    -Remote Desktop

    -Network backup

    -Encryption of system folders

    -Group Policy

-Support up to 192 GB of RAM (64-bit version only)

-Peer to peer support for up to 10 machines

Microsoft has a method to upgrade from OEM versions at a reasonable cost?

You have almost used up all available channels. The most effective being Anytime Upgrade.

If I buy the $90 total time to upgrade that will the license be moved to another system if it loses their motherboard?

You can transfer the license to another computer running Home Premium, but you can't move your OEM Home Premium license.

  • How re - install support of Windows 7 upgrade without going through the OEM operating system installed first?

Windows 7 upgrade & have no original oem disk

    (1) if the upgrade to windows 7 (retail disc) is placed on a machine with functioning earlier OEM version of windows XP

    (2) windows OEM version is not available

    (4) what is 7 reinstalled windows after the crash

I guess I should have been more precise

Illinois portable motherboad was fried (in CA at the time)

California replaced authorized Toshiba repair (lost records)

We later found out way software OEM does not recognize the key to the motherboard

    XP cannot be reloaded

    We are limping

That is why the need to upgrade to Windows 7

Toshiba has doing just the thing of Windows XP.

However - I'm not sure what has to do with following the instructions I mentioned you to. ;-)
