Signed app refuses to launch the device - how to debug?

I'm trying to get my first (Powernap) app to run on a physical device.  It works well in the Simulator, but it will not start when I try to put on a real device.  I do not yet know where to start, when I press the icon, nothing happens.  Literally nothing.

When I tried to install the application before I signed it, I received the standard message on the application tries to access the secure API (its an app webworks who plays sounds).  But now, after that I signed, no message is displayed, without luanch scree, etc..

I tried to delete the app, unsigned, by restarting and then re - install.

I think that I correctly sign because I don't get any errors.

How can I know where is the problem?  Pointers?

Here's my build and load as follows:

  • "It's version is locked the device" how?

    Hi all

My BB10 application must support OS 10.3.X or more. I have a Z10 that was running on the last 10.3.2.2876 but I tried it downgrade to 10.3.1.634 using the autoloaderofficial. Once the loading is done the error message appears "version is blocked device ' and the unit is dead."

How an I suppose to test my apps on older versions of the operating system running on the device (the Simulator is a bad option)?

Where can I get an autoloader 10.3.2.x so my device can work again? I have only one device.

    Help, please.

Unfortunately, once a device is updated to OS 10.3.2 it cannot be downgraded to what whether it is lower. It was a new measure of security introduced in 10.3.2.

I had the same problem when my DevAlpha, automatically updated itself and now I am unable to fully test my apps on the previous OS versions to ensure that they work properly, except on a simulator.

It would be great if versions of OS SDK BlackBerry on a list white for the people possible to be used.

To solve your current problem, just use the last 10.3.2 autoloader to get your Z10 running again.

  • Another "signed App does not work on device".

Newbie here. I searched the forum and found a couple of previous posts with exactly the same problem as me, but could not see anything in the answers to help me once again. I have an app...

    1. BB 5.0 objectives.

    2. peripheral is BB Curve 9330 running 6.0.

3 app had been successfully loaded twice before last week. (Works fine on Simulator 9330!)

    4. the app is fully signed.

5 app is built in Eclipse Helios (Plugin 1.3.0 BB).

6 tried to load in Eclipse with the two "Debug on the device' and 'load projects on the device. Same results, so be it.

    7. application appears in the download folder.

8 click on download app does nothing.

9 app does NOT appear in the list of Options/Applications of the device!

    10. I tried to look at the log of the events on the device but it's miles from the Greek for me.

I'm dead in the water! Could use very little help, can someone point me to the definitive info on the loading of an application on a device? (I can live with debugging on the Simulator)

    Thank you!!!

Glad to hear that you got running.

It is possible to have two versions of the plug-in installed on the same computer.  They just need to be installed in separate Eclipse instances.  So, you can download the full installer from the link above and install some of costs.  Note that it comes with BlackBerry Java SDK 7.1, so you will need to use the update site to install the 5.0 version (instructions on this same page above).

Just note that you can't use the same space to work in both versions of the plug-in.

  • my test app instantly close on the device

    Hi all

    I have the following problem:

I created a dummy-app (just a blank page with a Sprite on her listen to a key event) - and it does not work when I play it on computer office-air-debug-player.

However, when I deploy the application on my device (which works, I see the icon and the name and everything) - it will show the splashscreen (it is not custom, yet) for a very short time and then just closes the application.

This happens in all cases: when I debug the FlashBuilder 4.5 or when I create a release build (which is still signed) and install it via the command line.

I'm the author and authorId in the blackberry - tablet.xml I put the version numbers in the two .xml files.

What else could be missing? Some help would be really appreciated - thank you!

    see you soon,

    olsn

Have you read this about Flash Builder 4.5?

  • stuck iOS apps to install on the device (ios 8.4, code 6.4, MAF 2.1.3)

I tested the deployment of two different applications for iPad/iPhone: my own as well as samples of Public: HelloWorld.

I get the same result in both cases.

They are deployed to the device and then the icon remains dark and if I type it crashes with "installation".

I've tried resetting, removal and reinstallation, all in the same direction.

I confirmed the provision cert and the signing identity is correct (or they wouldn't be at all, to deploy as soon as?)

  • Backgound App should start after the device to start

Currently, I made soft to work by clicking on it, now I want to do as a background

    Problem:

    (1) I want my app to start after starting the device is finished.

Personally, I don't like the method of 'sleep' suggests BBDeveloper, and which is also in a KB article.

Search the knowledge base for this and the reason why you may need to use alternatives.

I'd rather have a listener and use the method of power if the unit is start-up.

If this issue is related to a Thread of yours that I have already commented on, there is no need for you to worry if you are inStartUp or not - your background code will run OK.

  • Unable to launch the Device Manager Simulator

    My system like environment:

    13.04 Ubuntu

    Java 7

    inter i3 4 GB

    VMPlayer 6

After installation the QNX Momentics IDE, I use Device manager download the sdk and Simulator.

But I can't launch the Simulator. Nothing happen when I click on the launch button in the Device Manager.

    Hello

Unless you redefine the paths by default during installation, the Simulator will be located in the base directory under the folder named "bbndk" with all the SDKs BB10 and IDE files. (#1 below screenshot)

After you download the Simualtor & VMware for linux:

1 - Open VMware and click Open Virtual Machine

2 - Go to the folder where the BB10 to add Simulator located in select it [in the./home/bbndk/]. VMX file

    3. now select the simualtor you want to start in the left menu in VMware and click 'play Virtual Machine'

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you

    Kareem.

  • How to launch the FLash Player to debug in FB beta 3?

In the last beta of the Flash Debug Player was launched when I debugged my project. (Of course, only when I unchecked "Generate HTML wrapper file" in the Flex compiler settings).

In Beta 3, these settings are ignored and the swf file is launched directly in my browser instead of being flat in the stand-alone Flash debug player.
Is it possible to change this behavior? I'm working on a Mac with 10.5.1.
    Thank you
    KOB

    Hi Michel,.

It was a deliberate change, but several people complained, so we changed the behavior of return to the original behavior. Unfortunately, in Beta 3 there is no way to change this.

  • My eBook device constantly throws E_ADEPT_CORE_USER_NOT_ACTIVATED, but my Adobe ID is registered with the device, how can I solve this problem?

I tried to get this problem fixed compared to the cat, but they were not at all useful.

The problem is I have a splinter Tolino, and for some reason when I plugged in my 3 Surface Pro so that he would free Adobe DRM authorization has been lost. So, when I went to turn it back on in the book, I realized that I had forgotten the password. And I went to the Adobe site and requested a change of password has changed. I then went back to my Tolino and activated the Adobe ID it and everything seemed good, until I tried to read a book. He told me that the Adobe DRM is not activated and he raises the error E_ADEPT_CORE_USER_NOT_ACTIVATED.

How can I solve this problem?

    Hi Jason,

This error is visible while trying to open a book that is allowed for a different user than the currently logged in user.

To correct this error, please try to connect under the Adobe ID whose content was accomplished with.

  • Update error - 104 despite even signing app and the signing process

I have an android app that I had reconditioned and deployed on a BlackBerry device. The app was built using Eclipse and minSdk 7.

Now, I created a new version of the app Android Studio and minSdk 14.

I use command line tools to repackage, sign, and deploy applications. When you try to update the application on the device by using the tool "Deploy BlackBerry", I get "failed - 104".» Also, in this case when I repackage both the old and the new version of app one after the other using the same tools, keys and passwords, only the input file is different. However I get error - 104 when I try to update.

After showing the error - 104, the app is uninstalled from the device. A "deploy BlackBerry" again, the new application is installed without problems, but this isn't an update, since the old version of the app was previously uninstalled.

    What could be the reason?

The 104 error comes in fact directly from Android.  It indicates that the APK at the BAR (not the file BAR itself) has been signed with a different certificate.  Android is blocking the update because if this difference.  You can verify the signatures used to sign the APKs by using this command:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.#.#_#\bin\jarsigner -verify -certs -verbose myApp.apk > output.txt

output.txt will contain details about the certificate.  To join the APKs, you can open your files of BAR in a program such as WinZip (they are zip files) and extract them.

  • fail to launch the app on playbook

    Hello

I am trying to build a program of hello world C in native Development Kit for tablet OS. He managed to compile, but fail to launch the device. Whenever it copies the program on the device, then open it with an empty window. Then the window closes immediately with an error under QNX Momentics IDE: "ldd: FATAL: could not load library libbps.so.3. I found libbps.so.3 on my PC folder which means the corresponding library missing on the device. How do I do to solve it? Google for anything similar question.

    Thank you.

PS, I have installed native SDK 2.0 on Windows XP and the version of the OS on the playbook is 2.0.0.4869.

    Kind regards

You must upgrade the operating system on the PlayBook to a version more recent.

  • Path of the application on the device

    Hi people,

I just developed my first BB app and deployed on the device.

I have added a text file to the request referring to http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Add-plain-text-or-binary-files-to-an-applica...

What I need to know is, on the removal of the application of the phone, this file also automatically disappears?

Also, how I find the physical location of this text file and therefore the .cod file on the device?

the file is inside your cod. whenever the operating system stores files of cod, it is not accessible by the user.

If you remove the application, the file also disappeared.
