Signed mail icon mislead, the Red packaging = bad user

The indicator of signed e-mail messages always throws me since he got a red seal. Users have been conditioned after awhile that red = bad on indicators of security/encryption/etc.

I strongly suggest to change the colour of the seal to the green for a valid signature.

It is something that should really be in bugzilla as an enhancement request. https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/

  • Icon of the Red Star (sparkle) of unexpected notification (native BB10)

I have a headless application that uses the classes NotificationMode, NotificationGlobalSettings and NotificationPolicy.

Not so long ago I was using the Notification class to publish notifications of hub. It was a temporary solution, for logging / debugging only, and it has been deleted completely, when there was no more need in there.

The question is, when I recharge my camera (Z10, 10.2.1), red sparke notification appears on my icon of the application, but there is no sign of all the messages involved in the hub. As the part of the user interface is not yet launched, I guess that something is wrong with the game without head. This issue takes place only upon reboot. When I install set bar or run the application in debug mode, everything is fine.

I can't even imagine, what could cause this. Notification icon is right there without any particular reason.

There may be a known issue/bug? Some cached, parameters, or errors in application, who could publish this red spark?

    Thanks in advance!

    Solved myself.
Posted the notification of hub, deleted manually, then rebooted the device and called deleteAllFromHub and clearEffectsForAll. Deletion of unnecessary imported classes and functions, again rebooted the device and sparkle red had disappeared.

  • BlackBerry smartphones AOL mail icon on the home screen / globe upstairs with the #2 to the left of it does mean?

    Hello

I just got my phone this week. I loved this day! I am just confused with some things...

    First of all:

I have my email to work for me and I have a gmail icon just to mail on the home screen. Is there a similar app AOL mail? or is the AOL Search icon only downloadable icon to the home screen?

    Second:

On my phone, there is a world high above with the #2 in the left of it... My sister and my brother has the exact same phone me as long as they don't have it. what it means?

    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

    Nilda

If you use Gmail app. As much as I know there is no BB AOL application itself like Gmail app.

But you can incorporate into your AOL via BIS account (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/software/internet.jsp) and gmail account can be integrated in the same way. This way, your e-mail will be pushed the same corporate e-mail, without having to chk mailed on the app.

Can you be a bit more descriptive on your 2nd quest?

  • On my doc, the red dot showing e-mails read, located in the bottom right of the mail icon has disappeared. How can I get that back?

I have a MacBook Pro about 5 years, and I just installed El Capitan.

    Hello 0622gdwgtr,

I understand that you do not see the Red badge on the Mail Dock icon list of unread mails.

Please check first that the Notifications preferences are set to display the Badge icon in system preferences > Notifications > Mail.

    Notifications - Mac Help preferences

Specify when you want not to be disturbed by notifications and set options to control how apps to display notifications and how they are sorted in the Notification Center.

To open the Notifications preferences, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Notifications. Select do not disturb or an application on the left, then view or change its settings on the right.

    The badge application icon

Leave the application indicates the number of notifications on its icon in the Dock

Then check how Mail is defined for unread mail.

    General Preferences - Help Mail

    Dock unread count

Mailboxes to be included in the number of unread messages (the red circle, also called a badge) indicated on the Mail icon in the Dock.

The County appears only if "The Badge application icon" is selected for mail Notifications preferences.

    Best regards.

  • Mail icon is missing from Control Panel, what is the file name?

I have Windows Vista SP1 (x 64) and for some reason any mail icon does not appear in my control panel.

I need to create an e-mail account to connect to the Exchange Server work and Outlook requires that I have do this applet of the Control Panel Mail so that Outlook is not running.

Error message Outlook says it cannot be done in Outlook e-mail account settings when I try to Outlook.

To be clear, this is not for Windows Mail.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

P.S. of course all my other computers have the mail icon in the Control Panel, but not my only main :)!

Thank you guys, I got things market! :)

    Solution:
    1. I did open default programs and set Outlook as the default e-mail program.  I don't know who really helped.

    2. I found the icon/utility view 32-bit Control Panel items in Control Panel and then clicking on which revealed (and I say revealed!) the Mail icon.

    A few Notes:
    1. I could not open the mail utility using the control mlcfg32.cpl or control method of mlcfg64.cpl.  Or the box or the command window run.
    2. in the Panel of the menu display was never showing the "Veiw 32 Bit Control Panel Items", that it was just an icon buried in the list of control panel applets.
    3. this bit 32 items in Control Panel just seems to be a small bucket of 4 Advanced Control Panel applets, they made it difficult to discover.
    4. Outlook prefers that you perform Exchange from your default account.  It wasn't the case for me, but I can easily choose the account from which to send an email when I create a new e-mail message.  I tested which and it worked.

Everything is good the good ends, I guess, I'm running now.
