AM Logo at startup

Once back recently my PC to the shop for service, drive HARD replacement necessary and I still had my warranty, I come back and done a clean install. Now when I restart my computer, the screen that normally appears with the logo of gigabyte that says press so-and-so to start in safe mode, or as or such to access the BIOS is displayed for about half a second and then is cancelled by a logo of American megatrends saying "press DELETE for setup of the BIOS. This AM logo never appeared before the PC in services, and it cancels the gigabyte screen that displays the orders to start in safe mode and various other important things. I want to know how to solve this problem.

Ironically, it was typed on an iPhone. I am only 15 and just get in the PC world. I am fairly tech savvy, but please if replying to this post it is the first PC I have owned and have had only one month.

After checking the BIOS settings appear to have been changed. After a reset a default things profile and also another problem that arose recently, have been distributed smoothly. Thank you for your help.

  • Black screen after logo at startup

I have a HP laptop (G72-B66US) running on 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Since I bought a year ago, it had been working fine, until one day he could not boot to Windows, leaving only a cursor flashing in the upper right of a screen LCD otherwise empty.

By pressing ESC before the end of the HP logo screen, I am able to access a Boot Menu:

    F1 system information
    F2 System Diagnostics
    F9 boot device Options
    F10 BIOS Setup
    F11 recovery system

    ENTER - continue starting

Various tests (HARD drive, memory, etc.) provided in the diagnostic system (F2) all completed successfully.

Also, I have started from a repair disc and ran Windows tool Startup Repair Tool, that is no problem.

I even restored a system image I created just after the purchase of the laptop, but the problem persists.

A hard reset after the removal of the battery did not help.

There are two things that I was not able to do, however:

    1. I connected to an external monitor to the laptop, but the screen does not switch to the external display, even after I pressed F4 repeatedly. Same result with fn + F4.

    2. press F8 at any stage of the commissioning is a not get into Mode Windows safe. Same result with fn + F8.

I wonder if the two functions are disabled somehow by the HP Boot Menu, otherwise why they don't appear as options in the menu?

In any case, any suggestions on how to proceed from here?

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • BSOD after Logo Windows at startup: bad driver, AutoFailover

I get BSOD after Windows Logo at startup. Said Startup Repair: bad driver, AutoFailover.

Two weeks ago, that I was getting the same BSOD after logo, but only with the bad driver. I not did something to fix it (or Startup Repair), it's just dissapeard after a few days. Also, the last day that I was getting BSOD, the night when I started my pc, it remained 2 minutes at Intel Boot Agent initialization and also 30 seconds to the black screen that follows (before the windows logo). When this situation occurs I get more BSOD. I tried to restart my pc but I stayed another 2 minutes to the Intel Boot Agent initialization. This problem has been fixed in the next morning, when I started my PC, even once, I don't know how, I did nothing. I remember that it is sometimes used to stay 2 minutes Intel Boot Agent, even when I was on Windows Vista, and it also sets automatically.
I upgraded my BIOS a few weeks before getting the BSOD, but I don't think that's the problem. In addition, there was no new driver installed before getting the BSOD, drivers have been installed after the first BSOD (even if the event viewer and the reliability monitor do not mention the first BSOD, only those who have followed the installation of the driver I know there's a BSOD before, I'm sure.)

I recently bought a computer HP Pavilion (HP Pavilion 10:10 - e010nr). It was my first experience with Windows 9.1, but everything seemed to go OK. Then, yesterday when I had to retype my password, the computer began to run very slowly and then seemed to lock-up; It would not do anthing. Hi Referee06. I understand that your computer does not load past the HP logo at startup. To resolve this problem, proceed to the section "the computer crashes to the screen of the HP or Compaq logo or the Windows loading screen" in this document: computer does not (Windows 8)

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 532 s: 'Secure Boot Configuration' not found?

Hello support, I wanted to disable startup secure for my office.
I have a pavilion Elite HPE - 532 s Bios 7.15 I followed the step of many posts, but I don't have it under the heading "security"?
    I am on window 10 64-bit UEFI.
I wanted to disable, because I have a new GTX 960 graphics card and it stuck on the HP logo at startup all the time when I use the new card. !!

I tried to disable the security slot, but no matter what I do I get a black screen for my card both old and new so I have to reset the bios settings.
    Help me please.

    Thanks for the additional information.

    Here is my diagnosis/notice:

I don't think you'll be able to get the GTX 960 to work with this system.

Why it won't work in the UEFI/GPT:

It will not work in the UEFI [I think] 960 GTX is one card of UEFI and you must disable secure boot to make it work. Your BIOS is only "UEFI compatible" originally planned for Windows 7 [which does not support secure boot]. If you are unable to disable the secure startup, you can not use this card.

Why it won't work in legacy/MBR:

It won't work in legacy because it's a single card of UEFI.

    My suggestion:

Return to the legacy/MBR and use a graphics card that has a dual BIOS BIOS/hybrid or one who supports in particular the Legacy BIOS as described in one of my previous posts.

    Some other things to consider:

You PSU has enough power for this card? I think it takes a minimum of 400W PSU.

You connect the auxiliary power connector?

Have you tried to disable "Intergrated Graphics" in the BIOS [as appropriate]
