  Because (for reasons that are not suitable to my questions): I can not reasonably migrate to new Versions of PSE and I'm more or less stuck for a few years for the use of PSE V10. I'm so looking for a relatively effective solution to the process/change (a small percentage) of the RAW files from my new future/camera (s) with the combination of PSE V10 and CR 6.4.1 (according to my understanding, PSE V10 does not support CR 8.6 - PSE V10 not even allows you to import new cameras RAW files in the PSE catalog).

  I was hoping that the DNG Converter could be a good solution for me. I intended

  • to convert the RAW files from my new camera (and my new future cameras) with an updated version of the DNG Converter,
  • import the .dng files in PSE V10
  • and then access to (and then for a few of them: change) DNG files with the combination of PSE V10 and CR 6.4.1.

  However, I felt recently, the profile only camera of the CR 6.4.1 that makes reasonably well my new compact camera Canon Powershot G16 DNG files is the 'Adobe Standard' of the camera profile.  In my tests with the combination of PSE V10 and ACR 6.4.1, rendering of these files with other CR 6.4.1 DNG profiles (for example the 'faithful camera' profile) (on colors and brightness/contrast) is really ugly and (to a layperson like me) more or less unusable (while rendering the same DNG file with the profile "Camera Faithfull" from the combination of CR 8.6 + PSE V13 is entirely reasonable).

  May I ask the following questions to someone who is familiar with the format, DNG and CR?

  1. My observations (i.e. made ugly of Canon Powershot G16 photos with the "profile trusty camera" ACR 6.4.1) correspond to what experts DNG should and expect?
  2. What is the likely reason for the ugly rendering of the 'faithful Camera' profile of the VC 6.4.1? The converter DNG not include a specific G16 'Faithful Camera' profile in the DNG file?
  3. Or do you think I did something wrong and I'm the one to blame for the ugly rendering with the 'Faithful Camera' profile used by CR 6.4.1? If this is the case: I have probably wrong and what can I do better?
  4. Do you think that the combination of the PSE V10 and CR 6.4.1, I'm having similar problems with the conversion to DNG Raw files in the future cameras as the successor to the Nikon D5300 or D7100 (which I'd probably buy once available)? Or do you think that the problems that I encountered with the Powershot G16 photos are not likely to occur with most other new camwras?

  Have you tried camera raw 6.7 in EPS 10?

  This is the last plugin raw from the camera to the EP 10.

  you need a camera raw 6.2 or higher.

  your cs4 program is probably not compatible with this version of camera raw, but what cs4 program you are trying to use with the raf file?

  If you have a version of Sillypix you can use for now that could be well until Adobe gets it act together. I've been a photoshop user since it began and it was not an issue with Raw files, until they released a small program called Rawshooter. The program was free until Adobe made out. Since then, almost all of the first has been controlled by Adobe. Nikon Capture is still ongoing, but that has problems if you change your operating system or upgrade that your machine and you end up having to buy a new piece of software after 3 activations. with Adobe at least just a phone call to get service even as your registration information are on their database.

  Unless you are willing to wait (and that could be some time) will not be supported for the current format of RAF vial for a few weeks or months. I know since when I bought the HS-10, and even then I had to buy a new version of Photoshop for the Raw plugin to work. I'm waiting now until all my devices have support until I purchase the new software because it is not certain that your current software will be included in an update of the plugin. They always say it sing is going to be all and all in the software, but they have not yet deliver on new cameras on current or former software. I did not upgrade to CS6, because I have not updated my camera so far. I will modernize only my software if the camera is supported by the latter. Lightroom 4 currently does not support it.   Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files (not the profile folder, where the bookmarks are stored) and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

  Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
  2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).

Can I attach files in gmail with Firefox 4 / F15 and I can attach files in mail yahoo with Google Chrome. It's just the combination Firefox 4 with yahoo mail that fails. Any suggestions will be appreciated what to look for to resolve the problem. I also tried with all add-ons disabled and in safe mode, but it doesn't help.

  I had the same problem on Windows and found that disable the Shockwave Flash plugin seems to fix the problem.

  I tried to run the program in question (Castle of the winds) in each mode of compatibility that is on the list and it is giving me this error message every time. Other people have managed to get the program to work, so I don't know, it does not work on Windows 7, but I can't make it work for me.

  I'm trying to run an old program, manage his money, on Vista Home Premium 64 - bit. It ran OK on Win XP. When I try to run the setup.exe, I get error - "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows hou are running." I tried to use the program compatibility Wizard. No help.   If you get this error and the Compatibility Mode doesn't help, then the program simply is not compatible with this version of Vista, and if you want the program, you will need to check with the manufacturer to see if they make a full install version which is compatible with Vista and buy the program more recent.  If they do not have such a version, then I'm afraid you're just out of luck with this program.  The only other option MIGHT be Virtual PC, but even that is not a guarantee and is a little extreme just to get an old program running.

  It comes to clarify my previous post. How can I open the files in .bkf created with xp pro backup tool with my windows vista machine? I have similar problems with windows 7 to use these saved files with my new computer?

  Here is a free software that opens and retrieves the BKF files (and repairs corrupt files): .  Once loaded, you'll be able to read BKF files using the program (and repair those that are corrupt).  This program is compatible with Vista (according to information posted on the site).  If it installs like normal programs, it creates an association between itself and the BKF files so you won't have to go through the process every time that you want to open/recover a BKF file (if it doesn't, go to Start/Default / programs / associate a file or Protocol with a program / and find the BKF files and changing the association to the program (if it isn't already there).)  You may need to search for the executable file of the program manually make the association (but I doubt it).

  Here is another option that may better suit your needs (I'm not sure what you have in mind): .  The same notes on file associations apply to this program (although I would not install both of them at the same time to avoid a situation of conflict of associations - although the more likely scenario is that the last installed program will be the one with the association).
