silence notifications on printers

My all-in-one HP M1217nfw printer will often "beep" because it goes to print.  It is the engine of my a batty dog.  Is there a way to silence this beep notification?

Hello

I see that you have a problem with the printer makes a noise when printing.

Now the printer is connected to a UPS?   If so, plug it into the outlet directly.  Several other similar applications have been found to be caused by the ringing of UPS with Printer Laser (actually fuser in particular) kicks and more insistent on the inverter.

Remember if you find one of my post useful or want to say thanks don't forget to click the White Star under my name to give me congratulations.

I really appreciate it!

Thank you!

  • sound notification for SMS no mail-is it possible?

    Hi all

I silenced my e-mail notifications. Too much. The flashing light is fine.  But I would like to receive a notifcation sound for text messages, which are more like phone calls, in my humble OPINION.

Is there a way to do this?

    TY much in advance.

You can silence notifications for individual applications.  Open the e-mail (Gmail), the menu tap application, settings and scroll down to notification settings and choose 'silent' ringing pull down.  If you have multiple Gmail accounts, make sure that you are on the correct account before making the change.  (Or make sure you change all.)

  • BlackBerry classic classic BlackBerry Mute button

    Hello

This is my phone or is there a way to know if your device is in mode "secret" after having pressed the button "mute" on the side of the phone?  I'm puzzled as to why the classic shows no symbol or icon to indicate that you cut the sound.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Swipe down from the top to access the quick settings.   Notifications can be there by default, but if not, then you can add it in the quick settings options.

Tapping left on notifications in quick settings changes the setting.  You can set the toggle.  For example switch silently.  Or vibration.

Tapping on the right opens the notifications screen.

There is also a setting in the options to reduce to silence notifications when unit is face down.

There may be a keyboard shortcut in this version of the OS.  I do not know.  Search for information on keyboard shortcuts.   EDIT: There is.  See http://blogs.blackberry.com/2014/11/classic-keyboard-shortcuts/ use key Q.

  • How do as notifications from contacts priority to ring and silencing all the others?

I just bought a new 128 GB iPhone 6 seconds more and it's now the latest version of the iOS 10.0.2 software executing.  I've used other platforms (Android, BlackBerry) and I miss one features are the ability to have only sound important contacts through notifications, but all others are silenced.  It is very convenient when it is at work or out with friends that I get constant, a beep or vibration but am able to know immediately when, say, my child or my boss of messages me.  The boss and the child have iMessage, if this is relevant, but others are on different platforms, so I hope that I can set up in general.  E-mail applications that I use the most are iMessage, BBM, text, Facebook Messenger more telephone calls.

You can use a do not disturb to reduce to silence the alerts. You can configure specific contacts so that alerts text for them always come. Go to the contact you want to implement. Press "Edit" at the top right. Type your text. At the top of the list is "Bypass of emergency." Turn it on. Tap done. Tap done again.

You can also do the same for calls.

Not disturb will silence the alerts to third-party messaging applications. I don't know of any way around that.

That's great. Thanks for letting me know desilien.

Looks like that the notification was for the Laserjet CP1215 model.

I can send you a private message on how to go into the registry and remove all Laserjet CP1215. If you feel comfortable. In the forum next to your handle name simply click on the envelope to see.

Please backup the registry first, before removing anything.

    Hello:

I would contact HP technical support on this issue, if you are not very sure.

Support bulletin seems legit to me.

As I was connected the HP support Forum, this bulletin web page acknowledged that I signed.

If it wasn't true, I doubt that this would have been possible, as these pages are tightly linked through HP Passport sign in System.

Also look at the list of models to ensure that yours needs updating.

If you decide to run the update, make sure that you follow all the procedures to the letter.

An update of the firmware which has gone wrong will permanently damage your printer and most likely makes it unusable.

  • 1telephone 6-How do I turn off the flashing as additional notification when you can call to silence

  • Can I turn off all notifications except the ringtone?

    Hello

I keep ring/silent switch from my iPhone on silent all day, as I work in a space where the sound of notifications would be troublesome for others. However, this means that I miss all the phone calls I get, like the vibration is too low to attract my attention.

Is it possible to silence all notifications except the ringing of the phone? The only way I can think to do is to manually disable sound notifications for each application. I hope that there is an easier way.

No sorry... you should watch in turn on the led flash... This works when your phone is locked, and when you get a notification it flashes... settings - accessibility - led flash for alerts - suite.

  • Sounds of Notification IPhone 6s on the LockScreen with IOS 9.3.5

I have 6 s IPhone with IOS 9.3.5 and I am facing problem Sound Notifications on the lock screen. Message appears, but there is no sound. In the unlocked mode, notification sounds work as usual. I checked the following:

    1. Activating/Deactivating the mute button
    2. Maximizing the notification ringtone.
    3. Donot bother is set to normal, but it is an option that is to activate by default I guess, but I think that could cause the problem either "only when IPhone is locked.

Please help with this problem or a bug. Thank you.

    Hi there, saadmustafa!

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. After reading your post, I understand that notification sounds do not play while the screen of your iPhone is locked. This happens even if do not disturb is not on the side switch is not engaged and the ring volume turned all the way to the top. I rely on my iPhone every day to stay in touch, so I know that it is important to be able to hear notifications when they are received; I'd be happy to help you!

The "Silence: only while the iPhone is locked ' feature will only apply when do not disturb is activated. If you do not do not disturb, I can see on your screen is the case, this feature will not affect your notification sounds. There could be a number of other things that affect it, however, so I have a few troubleshooting steps you can try to help fix this problem. Give a try at each step, test your notification on the lock screen sounds once each is completed.

    1. Restart your iPhone. You can get instructions on powering the unit turned off and then back on here:
Restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
    2. Reset the settings of your iPhone under settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This will not delete your personal data (contacts, photos, calendar of events, etc.), but he'll be back customizable settings (as your ringtone and a notification alert sounds, wallpapers and view the settings of Date and time, brightness, etc.) to their default values. It will also remove saved network Wi - Fi and passwords, as well as previously used VPN or APN settings.
    3. Back up your iPhone and then restore it to the factory settings. You can find instructions for the backup on iTunes here or iCloud: How to backup your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Once you have a backup, you can get the instructions to restore the iPhone here: use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

Once the restore is complete, configure the iPhone as a new device (i.e. without putting your backup on it, at least temporarily). You can register in iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, iTunes and App Store using your Apple ID. Then test the notification sounds.

    4. If notifications of play while the screen is locked after you set up as new iPhone, you can restore your sauvegardΘ following these instructions: restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    See you soon!

  • Stop text Notifications during phone calls

How to stop text message notifications sounds while I'm in a phone call without silencing everything? It is very annoying and unprofessional when you talk to someone and there is the same constant beeps heard on their end.

I do not have a setting for it there, but I agree it's annoying to be interrupted during a call. The notification should be delayed. Why not drop a line to iPhone Feedback?

  • No sound notification or screen for text

If this problem just started today. I have an iPhone 6 and I get no sound notification for text, my husband sent me but there is sound when I receive calls from him or anyone else. Another strange thing, it's that they are not pop up on the screen of the notification. My do not disturb is not on and my phone is not on the silence, I tried the assisted by inhibition/reactivate, restart and turn off key and none of them worked... Currently it is backed up to restore, but that takes some time. I hope someone else has a different solution.

    Hi cynthp11,

Thanks for stopping by Apple Support communities. Looks like you are having some problems with notifications for your husband's text messages. I use my iPhone all the time and I depend on having these notifications alert me on when a message arrives. I'll be happy to help you with this. You did some great troubleshooting so far, thank you.

I see that you are backing up the iPhone. It's a great thing to do. Here are some articles that go on the backup and synchronization of your photos to the computer as well.

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Keep your photos safely stored and updated on all your devices

Once you have the backup, if you could then go to the settings > Notifications. The Messages app, please drag the off slider to "Allow the Notifications" and slide it on. Also, make sure that you have some type of display in the "Sounds" section Please also check to be sure that the "Show we Lock Screen" is turned on as well.

If you can then test, having your husband text you. See if the iPhone notifications notify you with the sound and appearing on the lock screen. If she's not always you warn, please reset all settings. This will reset things like alarms, light, background, passwords Wi - Fi network etc. You have to reenter those. To reset all the settings go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings. Then please still test. If the iPhone does not always offer notifications, the next step would be to do a restore to factory settings and set it up as a new iPhone. This will erase all the data and settings of the phone, it is so important to make sure you have backup the iPhone.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

Once you have set up as new iPhone, go to settings > Notifications and adjust the setting accordingly and then test the Messages app by having your husband text you once again. If it's working correctly now, then please go ahead and restore from your backup, and make sure that it still works as expected.

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup

    Have a great day!
