Hello. I'm watching netflix on Google Chrome and Silverlight crashes. I deleted the program and redownloaded it. What else can I try?

  • Silverlight crashes when I try to send Hotmail

    I am running Win 7 HP sp1 w / Chrome as my browser. Whenever I go to hotmail and try to send an email, a bar appears at the top of the screen and told me that Silverlight is crashed. Is it because I use Chrome as my browser, or is it indicative of a much larger problem with that I don't know?

  • custody of Microsoft silverlight crashing my ebay so do not allow me to enter password etc, im on pc, vista os... any help?

    Can someone help me... only recently, for some unknown reason to me... microsoft silverlight came and stopped me enter my password on connection ebay... some highlights box cannot but totally freezes my page, cannot do a thing...

    Did not find a virus... my used avast set to day or difficulty, either uninstall, then now have avg free to help me, who must say do not have everything

    problems with about 8 years ive been using it...

    I just don't understand? any who can shed some light please... I'm not good at calculating, taught me that I am not sure, lol...

    When you compose an email last night I had a 'stop' saying 'Silverlight broke down.  A somewhat rough icon, then appeared and could not be removed, except by the closing/lose the half-compound E Mail and starting over.

    Ought I remove Silverlight, ignore, or do something else?  I ran Norton Antivirus screen aferwwards and no viruses have been detected. My E Mail address is "[email protected]".

    I suggest to uninstall Silverlight and put it back.  You may need to some Web sites. If it keeps giving you problems, you can always uninstall it and wait to see what happens.

    My computer is fundamentally new.     You have hardware acceleration disabled in your old profile and now he allowed in the new profile that was created due to the discount to zero/update.

    Unfortunately I know the problems of security, disable plugin - container.exe. I don't know that it is a problematic area in Firefox to manage plugins such as Silverlight and Flash related questions. Mozilla has known about flash player crashes for years for example and o guess they cannot not possible design that it is THEIR browser plugin container causing the problem and always point the finger to the flash. I'm sorry that I don't have the other answer for you.

    As long as the original article, I've referenced, you can use my regedit to implement as well and does not require a re-boot machine unless you have a blocked running process that you can not kill.

    Please also try to disable the Silverlight Add-on in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-on > Plugins before you open Hotmail. You may still be able to attach files.

    All plugins are updated. This has only started happening recently. Plugins seems to start for a few seconds (not more than 5) and then crash. Chances are that there is more than a problem with Silverlight and Flash, but they are the only two I use really.

    About adding attachments to e-mail hotmail, the page does not. On closing program I am informed that the silverlight plugin broke down. Have reloaded and sent reports to both microsoft and firefox, tried all troubleshooting recommended, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest silverlight and firefox 4, but on the attachment after each step into train silverlight continues to crash. Tried the attachment on the yahoo email, same thing.

    It is a question really old, but anyone with this problem should try updating to the latest Firefox and the latest Silverlight. You don't usually see problems when both are up-to-date.

    My problem is similar to what I've read, other people also experience. I try to use the watch instantly on netflix and immediately crashes frozen silverlight plug-in, complete with video and sound distortion.

    I thought that Microsoft advises us how to solve the problem, but apparently they have not. From what I've read, netflix is not no more have an answer. For me, it's an incredible situation, considering that netflix exclusively uses ms silverlight.

    I'm trying to respond to an email in Hotmail and when I hit the reply button, a box of internet security explore opens asking me if I want to allow Silverlight.configuration.exe to open content web on my computer, I try to click the button allow however the cursor don't point highlight/select it and I can not close this window or the hotmail page either.     When you work on my laptop (Toshiba, old 9 mos), a pop up from Microsoft, saying (the name of the file) Silverlight.Configuration.exe, requires permissions to change my system, I want to turn on or off.  The first time he came, I was under a deadline and a deep in it, so when the pop up appeared, I refused, thinking he would go while I continued to work and it should show up later and I would deal with it then.  NO, he locked screen.  Once I got a cooler head, I had no other choice to re - boot my system.  He has continued on because he wasn't a problem... until a few days later...
