  We use CUCM 10.5.1.  We have enabled LDAP and installation directories.  I can see the previous local users and new users sync ldap.  I know that if there was a previous local user with the same user as the new ldap user ID, this account is converted into an ldap account and I guess the password stay the same before ldap integration.   But what of the new ldap sync protocol accounts?  I see that there is a field of password for them, but what is the default password for these newly created accounts and where I can edit this default password?

  I do not have a 10.x here, but on previous versions, "credentials political default" sets the default password.

  It was under the management/diploma default user policy. Choose the 'end user' political 'password' and put the default value you want here. It may be in a slightly different place from 10.x

  One user is trying to connect to Essbase by Excle worksheet. To connect in Essbase, this user who connects to the network using the VPN connection. I suspect that this question arises because of an invalid password, but the user claiming that password is correct. When I checked the user information in Essabase, he gave an external authentication that is valid.

  If essbase uses an external authentication as MSAD, you can get the password changed at the level of the AD by someone who takes care of the administration.

• ReadyNAS Ultra 6 OS reinstall appears to have not reset admin default password

  I had my ReadyNAS Ultra admin access, but went to test the admin password recovery tool to ensure that the program was configured ok. The recovery email was never received, and test the recovery nuked tool the password admin defined earlier. So I lost my ReadyNAS Ultra 6 admin access.

  The operating system reinstall appers to have updated the FW according to display NAS, but I can not connect with credentials "admin" and "password" even after that.

  Try the default password "netgear1" (without the quotes). "password" is the default password for OS5/OS6, not for OS4.

  This isn't something that controls Windows, you must talk to the people who run the sites in question to see why they have frequent need of authentication.

  However, if I type the default password it says:

  I thought that, maybe an error on the disk, so I downloaded the firmware. Still the same message.

  What could be the reason?

  Connect a computer wired to the wap and assign a static IP address on the computer.

  Right-click on the connection to the Local network and click Properties, select TCP/IP and click on properties - check use the IP address 192.168.1.10 subnet mask according to 255.255.255.0, and then click ok.

  Now, you can access the configuration of wap with 192.168.1.240 page and you can make the necessary changes.

  Some devices are configured with the old password. If you log on to these credentials and save the configuration, the default password is cleared. If you have set a new password, you'll end up with an inaccessible area. This avoids the production of devices with the default manufacture password and being exposed.

  You need to do a password recovery procedure.

  (1) connect the console to the device
  (2) turn on the device
  3) press ctrl + break until you are in rommon mode

  Type confreg 0 x 2142 to the rommon 1 > fast to boot from Flash.

  This step allows you to bypass the startup configuration where passwords are stored.

  Type of reset to the rommon 2 > prompt.

  The router restarts, but does not take into account the stored configuration.

• Y at - it a default password for the bios on a Compaq tc4400? Need help!

  There must be a way to remove a unknown password!  I disassembled the laptop and removed the battery cmos for 3 hours and it didn't work.  There must be an easier way.  There should be a default password for the bios of HP or Compaq?

  How to cut the power on password or bios password is easy.

  Remove the battery and power supply.

  Remove the memory cover. "On the merits".

  Remove the memory stick. "If there is."

  You should see a label and a piece of plastic tape.

  Peel off the tape and you will see CMOS_CLR1.

  Use small flat head screwdriver and make contact with the 2 copper looking contacts.

  Replace the tape in plastic, memory, memory and battery.

  Power and missing BIOS passwords.

  Just tested it and it worked very well.

  Tell us what you find.

  I have a problem with a server ESXi in VCenter which reported that following:

  The default password for the root user has not changed.

  However, on the server, we changed the default password to our standard from the console. Is there something that needs to be done to update VCenter to check or something? It marks the host as a warning so it is certainly misleading people.

  If the ESXi host is empty, a reboot will probably clear the message.  In addition, to restart the management agents would probably erase as well.

  You have several options:

  First of all, you cannot create a user without password unless you have an id valid provided e-mail. At least provide a manager who has a valid e-mail id. In these cases, password is automatically generated and will be sent.

  1. the user event handlers. (Post processing event handler). This approach works for both manually created users and reconcile trusted users. It is more of a 11g and a recommended method.
