My scenario is little different, here ASM instance and database instance is search in different physical servers.

Can post you?

The ASM instance must reside on the same server with database instances.

See you soon

Yes. Oracle uses different versions of binaries for stand-alone server and cluster. crsctl is missing until you configure GI.

You can configure GI with the following command as root:

    $GRID_HOME/perl/bin/perl -I$GRID_HOME/perl/lib -I$GRID_HOME/crs/install $GRID_HOME/crs/install/roothas.pl

  • Single Instance Oracle 11.2.0.4.7 with GRID + ASM - AMT headphone attack Poison Fix?

I'm under a single Instance Oracle 11.2.0.4.7 with GRID + ASM database on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.7. I'm trying to fix the infamous TNS Listener Poison attack vulnerability. I tried to implement the COST using this guide (Doc ID 1453883.1) but it doesn't seem to work as it still appears on a scan of the retina. I can't get a remote listener to register to test the vulnerability, and it does not appear in the log listener xml as a registration or denied. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I added this to my listener.ora:

    SECURE_REGISTER_LISTENER_PROD = (CPI, TCP)

The Alternative fix to the COST must turn off dynamic registration but I can do it when executing grid with the DSO with only a single instance database?

How can I fix with my setup?

You would implement better VNCR on 11.2.0.4:

    for CARS: 1914282.1

the properties of a single instance: 1600630.1

  • VMplayer using for several instances of XP Mode.

OK, so I used the built in Windows XP mode for about a year now, and while I'm generally pretty happy with it, I would switch to someont that is not so prone to crash.

I have downloaded VMplayer, converted my VM, added the xpmode.enabled = true line in the .vmx files (otherwise they constantly asked me to activate) but now I get a message when I try to run two simultaneous to the virtual computer that says I am only able to run a single instance of windows XP Mode.

Using XP mode I was not limited to a single copy, and because of what I do with them (VPN in several places at once) I need to access several simultaneous sessions.  Someone at - he found a way around this with VMplayer or am I stuck with XP Mode?

    Thank you

Unfortunately, Microsoft requires us to enforce their EULA in this regard.

  • How to install the s/w for GR 11, 2 single-instance database grid

    Hello
I have a single instance node. I want to install grid s/w to use mainly the restart function. I do not use ASM. Is it possible to use the s/w without ASM grid infrastructure?

    Hi Olivier,.
    Welcome to the Forum...

Oracle ASM is installed with Oracle restart, but the DSO is not mandatory to use with Oracle Restart.
You can use the Oracle restart without installing the DSO.

During the installation of network infrastructure, choose option: grid software Infrastructure only

After installation, you will be asked to run root.sh at the end of the run the root.sh script will report a procedure to configure only Oracle Restart (for stand-alone server grid Infrastructure)

  • Regarding the installation of a single instance with ASM in AIX

    Hello
I try to install a single instance with the help of ASM in AIX. I made the requirements for drives prior to installation.
I'm running Universal Installer and I choose the option of database to create.
During the stage of creation of the database, there is a page to choose the types of storage.
I choose the DSO and then click Next.
Caution is open and he tell ASM must CSS and it gives the following to run.
    reset of the/Home/App/tuba2/prod / 10 GR 2/bin/localconfig.

I run but my CSS is not started and it gives the following.
    # localconfig reset
    Successfully accumulated necessary OCR keys.
Creating OCR keys for the user 'root', privgrp 'system '...
    Successful operation.
Configuration for local CSS has been initialized
Stale demon CSS is running... kill now
    Adding inittab
Startup will be queued to init within 30 seconds.
Checking the status of the new Oracle init process...
Expected CRS demons to be in place within 600 seconds.
Abandon: Oracle CSS stack seems to NOT be running.
Oracle CSS service would not start as installed
Automatic storage management (ASM) cannot be used until the Oracle CSS service is started

How can I solve these problems. I'm new in ASM.
    Is there anyone to help?
Is also the way I was using the single instance of the correct installation with ASM? or there is another way that is more efficient for the installation of the database with ASM?

Technically, there is nothing wrong in what you do. Since your log message, it seems, has already CSS configured on your system and is not in a working state.
I would recommend, reconfiguration of the CSS.

Complete the following as root user.

    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/localconfig delete
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/localconfig add
    CD /etc/init.d
    . /init. CSSD run &
    crsctl check crs
And you can check the logs for more from diagnosis to the suite.

    $ORACLE_HOME/log /<$HOST>/cssd/cssdOUT.log
    $ORACLE_HOME/log /<$HOST>/cssd/ocssd.log
    / var/log/messages / *.

  • Start several Instances of ABC to a single Instance of the EBS provider

    Dears

Currently an initiative of integration, we are integrating next design flow:

    (1) we have a single applicant request; We design the related ABC applicant
    (2) we use on single EBS. We use the EBS synchronization operation
    (3) we have 2 provider ABC

    Our business requirement is:
If a single message is derived from the application of the applicant by the applicant, ABC, it must be published both applications via ABC provider provider components. In fact an instance of ABC single applicant will create, only one instance of the EBS and 2 provider ABC instance created

Can you please suggest how we can design the EBS service in such a way that 2 instances of provider ABC will be created from single instance of EBS

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

    Mohamed Chargui

The answer to your question is Yes, one Ombudsman can invoke two service calls at the same time as well.
First of all, define your service references in the composite.xml
Once you have done this, you can add any number of routing rules for each operation defined in the Ombudsman. In your case, you need to add two static routing rules within the same operation in the Ombudsman file. You can also select if the calls will be sequential or parallel by selecting the correct value in the drop down within the routing rule. Each routing rule will call a service reference in your case.

  • Provide a name for the new single-instance - distributed environment

    Hello

I'm not sure about that piece of information in the installation documentation

    Please see

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E17236_01/EPM.1112/epm_install_11121/frameset.htm?launch.html
During Setup in a distributed environment, provide a name for the new single instance that you configure each server. For example, if you use the epmsystem1 of name of default instance on the first server, and you keep the same names on the Server naming convention, you must create new, instance names unique on each subsequent server, like epmsystem2, epmsystem3, and > so now.
What happens if I use the same path "d:\...\epmsystem1" on all servers in a distributed environment?

It was originally a 11.1.2 install and then upgraded to 11.1.2.1 with 11.1.2 I think that the names of instances were the same in a distributed environment.

  • file extension association to open only a single instance

    Hello

I see this question posted in several forums on the internet, but I'm not able to find a definitive and functional solution. Here's the problem:

When I do a combination of file extension to my request, if I select more than one file and then select open from the context menu, I get multiple instances of my application, one for each selected file.

The same commenting on my application, I already put code to limit the app to run a single instance. Normally works, however, by selecting several files and then by selecting the command open, it seems that the code that check whether a previous instance is running realized too late, the system starts already several open orders.

Is there a way to tell Windows to open the list of files selected in an instance unique app? If so, how.

    Thank you.

Without more details on the specifics of your application, it is difficult to suggest a specific development forum.  I suggest you choose one from here: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/categories

  • UCM single server connected to several portals, Webcenter

    Hello

Is it possible to connect a single server instance of the Complutense University of MADRID with several instances of webcenter Portal? If Yes, then what are the things to take care problems of simultaneity avoide? No special attention that needs to be addressed when defining the connection?

    Kind regards
    Sanjay

You can, and I don't think you really need to do something special.

If you want to use 1-AAU for several instances of webcenter spaces, then you might need to specify the names of different applications for each webcenter spaces but if its portal just webcenter, nothing special to do.

It of course depends on your security constraints... If you want to share documents on the portals, everything is beautiful OOTB, but if you want to hide the documents of a portal to another you might configure some security groups or accounts to make sure documents cannot read form one portal to another
