Six years old copy of Windows 7 Professional now is more authentic.

I bought my copy of Windows 7 Professional from NewEgg some time in 2009.  I then installed on my new computer and have used it several times since then to make fresh re - installs due to drive failure hard, either because I bought new equipment.  I recently got a new SSD and decided to seize the opportunity to make an another re-install.  I've never had any trouble activating after each installation in the past, but this time, no matter what I do or how I'm trying to activate it, I said repeatedly that this copy of windows is not genuine.  I tell you what, however.  I have 2 drives (32 bit and 64 bit) in a package of upgrade of retail with a valid product code.  (I can provide pictures if necessary).  I tried to validate using the tool Microsoft online without success.  I used the phone app and the app assisted voice online with the same results.  Is someone can you please tell me how I can restore the validity of my copy of windows.  Thank you

Charlie

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to the desktop -http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once downloaded, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button.
Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message.

original title: new license for my WIN XP

It seems that you bought an XP license retail.  If so, you can just install this same drive with the same license key on your new machine as your old machine is no longer operational.  A retail license should be transferable, while an OEM license is bound to the first machine that it has been installed on.

Details are set out on this Microsoft license FAQ:

  • How can I activate my genuine copy of Windows XP Professional? When I try it says: "activation could not be completed right now online.

original title: How can I activate my genuine copy of Windows XP Professional?

    Hello

I wonder if there is another way to activate my genuine copy of Windows XP Professional, because when I try to activate via the activate Windows

Assistant, all I get is a message saying that the 'online activation could not be completed at this time. "

Its weird because this is the first time I met this kind of problem after format and do a clean install of Windows XP in which, incidentally, I do

every year since 2006. (This is to keep my computer and working properly).

And also, if I tried to validate my copy of Windows XP by using Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer 8, but I keep getting "Validation failed".

Any ideas what could possibly cause this? coz I already formatted my computer three times since yesterday in the hope that it could solve the problem, but with no luck.

I hope someone could help me with this.

Thank you and happy holidays to all.

    Hello

Please help us, but it seems to be a problem with the end of Microsoft after all. Perhaps, they were low maintenance, when I tried to activate my Windows XP Pro yesterday.

In any case, my Windows XP Pro is now enabled.

  • Need a copy of Windows XP Professional

I just bought a laptop computer recycling and hard drive is wiped clean there is no operating system. The gentleman told me that they don't not install opperating systems, however the CD key is at the bottom of the laptop. Is there a way I can get a copy of Windows XP Professional? It's the OS that was on it. I can burn it to a cd if necessary, I just need to find it. Can anyone help?

You must not only find Windows XP Professional-, but a version of OEM Windows XP Professional, or you can google to find out how to edit the setupp.ini and create a new CD.

Beg/borrow from a friend or acquaintance of the nice information technology a copy of the CD.  I wouldn't trust to a lot of places where you might find online.

Think twice before using Windows XP 64-bit.  Very few pilots have been written for this platform and, frankly, it's not all that stable, what I read.

the easiest way is to use your COA key. (it can be found in your battery compartment.)

You should also have an OEM recovery partition that can be used to retrieve shipped from your system to a State. check your documentation or your manufacturer's website for instructions on how to use it. You can also order your manufacturer's recovery disks.

  • Copy genuine windows 7 shows now not authentic.

I have a genuine copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop.

I got this through a student in 2009 while I was at University. Now, I get a message pops up telling me that I don't have a genuine copy of Windows 7. If I try to go the the installation process of the program, it wants to install it then fails and just says error, very well.

So, I then tried to use the link "Contact us" on the microsoft Web site. Since he thinks that I don't have a genuine copy of windows 7, he wants me to pay £46 just to have someone to email, err jog on.

So I now find myself here ask for help in how I can solve this problem.

Please please please help me before I end up breaking this laptop and spend a fortune on a Mac.

The files do not match above, peut I copy my old hard drive or is - not a possible solution?

  • Reinstall Window 7 Professional and keep it authentic

I need to reinstall my Windows 7 Professional SP1 because I nave much issues with my drivers and programs off the coast, and need a table to shave, but I don't know if he'll stay authentic if I use the same product key after the relocation. What should I do to reinstall it and keep it as authentic?

As long as this is the same computer, you should be able to perform a clean installation and reactivate using the same product key.

If you encounter problems, you also try the phone activation:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
