What is the size of the default icons that I use in my applications WebWorks?

150 x 150?

Hello

You can find the instructions for user interface more updated here:

https://developer.BlackBerry.com/DevZone/design/application_icons.html

The recommendation is 114 x 114 to prevent any requirement for the scaling.

  • Sizes of icons for Windows 7

My application is running in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and I use LabWindows/CVI 10.0.1. I created an icon file in the editor of icons included. I kept the size 32 x 32 and 16 x 16 default and added 48 x 48 and 256 x 256, all with 32-bit color versions. I put the settings of the target to use this new icon.

When I look at the folder containing the executable file of my application in Windows Explorer and go through the different methods of the folder view, not all sizes of the icon. Picture 16 x 16 is used for views list and details, and I increase the size of icons versions of 32 x 32 and 48 x 48 seem to kick. Then, when the size of the icons gets in the Middle, I see LabWindows/CVI default icon (the one that looks like a window with the symbol "cvi" inside). As I do even bigger icons, possibly version 256 x 256 of my custom icon takes over.

MSDN seems to say that these three dimensions are all necessary sizes for Windows 7. How can I replace the application icon "cvi" default for all sizes? Is it necessary to use a different icon editor to create a few different sizes of icon image?

    Thank you

    Brian

What is probably happening is that your icon cache is corrupt. Searching online, I found different ways to solve this problem and none of them 'official' Microsoft, so I hesitate to recommend a way to rebuild your icon cache. However, I have to solve this was delete C:\Users\\AppData\Local\IconCache.db and restart my system. The IconCache.db was rebuilt and the correct icon shows for larger sizes rather than the default. It seems that the first icon, you display the size large/XLarge remains stuck in the IconCache. For example, I changed my icon before the consultation at a larger size (never seen the CVI icon) and the icon I used was the one stuck to the size large/XLarge. I don't think it will be a problem on a target system because you will not modify the icon we that you distribute the application.

It's not not clear to me, if there is a problem with a Windows bug (I saw similar reports on various forums, but nothing official), with our editor icons, or how ICB home icons from executables. I filed bug 354481 to investigate this issue report.

  • HP Photosmart 7520 "Get More" icon for apps

Old printer for only a few days.  The "Get More" icon on the online app on the home page the first day, but after the second day, he has disappeared from the App bar.  Any suggestions on how to recover the "Get More" (icon) app?  I use the printer wirelessly with an iMac OS X Lion 10.7.5.  Checked the HP connected in Apps for my printer, but it's not a way to reinstall the application "Get More"; It is not listed in the App section.  Thank you!

Yes AnnaMarie57, to add applications to the Photosmart 7520 you should not use the website hpconnected.com. It really makes it easier (though a little less convenient), with a full text search to find and add apps on your printer. Have you ever subscribed to hpconnected.com and added to your printer?

  • Size of boot for app portrait image

I don't know which is the correct image size if the orientation mode is only of portrait.

The Simulator is not correctly display the image somehow.

    I have to use a 1024 x 600 or 600 x 1024 image?

    Thank you

Well, if that's the portrait the splash screen must be 600 x 1024. However, I think that if the user opens the app in landscape and the splash is in portrait mode, when they turn the device that the splash turn as well... unless you have your application set not automatic East. Hmm, it's more a head scratcher then I first thought.

  • Size image or icon for listview settings?

Anyone know if there is a reference to the image / size of the icon for ListView?  I want to reproduce the images of listview, as shown in the main page of settings app:

    (image) On

    (image) Network connections

    (image) Notifications

    Etc.

Is it possible to see the raw images to icon in the source somewhere?

    Hello!

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/DevZone/design/BB10/icon_types_and_sizes.html

I use 81 x 81 px and they seem authentic.

But the images are not correctly aligned in DefaultListItem - had to create a custom list item.

Don't know if the source is available somewhere. If you find it please post a link.

You can copy & paste them on a screenshot (waiting all the volume buttons 3 to take a screenshot).

  • Some sizes of icons are missing in the AIR for the android settings

In the new CC animate, icons in 'AIR for iOs parameters' list have been updated (180, 60, 75, 87, 167 have been added), but the icons in the list in 'AIR for Android settings' is always the same...

We need icons for 144px and 192px:

    < image144x144 >... < / image144x144 >

    < image192x192 >... < / image192x192 >

For now, I have to add them manually whenever I opened the AIR for Android defining which reset the app descriptor file, it's really annoying.

Is it possible to change this list somewhere in a config file, update animate IDE?

Always on management of icons in flash/animated in the IDE.

When go us for iOs AIR and AIR for Android, icons lists are reset every time and we have to choose each one icons again, is such a waste of time.

Why the specifications of the icons are not stored for each platform?

And a little more automatic to set these icons would be very great, a few ideas:

    • Double click directly in the list to open the Browse dialog box directly
    • Add the ability to directly select a directory map and automatic files icon in the list

    Hello

We are currently working on adding the sizes of icons in the AIR for the Android settings dialog box. Will update you did once.

I added your other suggestions related to the management of icon to our backlog of product for review.

    Thank you!

I've tried holding down the button menu until a menu jump to the top, but the menu does not include the options of 'move' or 'move to folder '.  In fact, the options of 'move' do not seem to appear for all elements of the 'common' screen

Someone knows what to do?  FYI, I use the version of the b-berry for Mac desktop software.

    Bernie

    Hello

"Frequent" is a dynamic screen; your BB automatically there are some things that you use frequently. There is therefore, no manual way to move that you describe (since its automatic and dynamic, based on your usage). On the contrary, what you find is the master for these applications... icon probably they are inside your "Applications" folder, normally visible on the screen "All".

    Good luck!

  • Guideline BB10 icon

Hello, I have been informed that BB10 apps requires a different size icon, the reference I got is inside this link, https://developer.blackberry.com/air/documentation/bb10/create_icon_button.html , which forces us to create an icon image.

However, in policy-making for the Playbook, it's also simple this code following that is available inside the .bar descriptor.

How exactly should I do icon for BB10? Can I use the method similar to the creation of a for Playbook? And what is the size of it?

  • Size of icons, application and splash screen

Hi all, I wanted to ask you, what is the best icon size and the size of the screen splash for blackberry webwork?

That's all, so thank you :-)

  • Icons for Android

I'm working on the Android version of my AIR application and reading the documentation on the icons:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/air/build/WS901d38e593cd1bac1e63e3d129907d2886-8000.html

It seems that the application needs than 5 icons for Android:

"On Android, specified in the application descriptor icons are used as the application launcher icon.
    The application launcher icon should be provided as a set of 36 x 36-48 x 48-, 72 x 72-, 96 x 96 - and images PNG 144 x 144 pixels.
These sizes of icons are used for screens of low density, average density and high densities, respectively. »

I'm just double-checking, like the one required iOS version much longer list sizes of icons, but are these five sizes of icon only necessary to pack an APK with air?

Thanks in advance for any answer you could give.

You are not in need of these sizes of 5 icons. The next thing I'm going on everything, you may or may not already know. One thing you have to do is well get parameters of finished application as much as you can through the user interface, because you will need to manually edit the file to add the remaining two sizes. The Flash Pro interface only supports the first 3 sizes. To add the other two, you must manually change the descriptor XML app file, adding to two other icons, then save and set the file read-only permissions. After that, you can publish the application and it will be all sizes. The read-only part is required because Flash will replace regardless of changes made to the XML file when you publish.
