Size of the image - confusion report l / h

I was asked to re - edit a video game totaling about 7 hours of footage. I got 4 DVD where I import the VOB files in prepro. When I play the original DVD on my desk, the image quality is good, she is in 4:3 format and it occupies the major part of my 19 "wide screen monitor. When I import VOB files, here is the penetration prepro therein:

Type: MPEG Movie

File size: 1016,0 MB

Image size: 720 x 480

Frame rate: 29.97

Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - stereo

Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - stereo

Total time: 00:48:15:16

Average flow: 358 KB/second

Format of the pixels: 0.9091

I created some transitions of title in After Effects that also use the preset of 720 x 480 (DV NTSC) with 0.91 Pixel Aspect Ratio. However, when I reading the titles AE or VOB assets within prepro, the size of the image on my screen is quite small (about 1/4 the size of my screen). When I send the sequence again, it also produces a small image. The menu I built using a PSD file (720 x 480, 72 dpi, 10.0 "x6.7") However, plays like an image full screen, the way I hoped the video would play.

I know there's a mismatch here somewhere, but I don't know where the problem lies. I have read a good deal online but keep going in circles. I understand there are questions about image size and pixel formats and I thought I was being careful in selecting 720 x 480 throughout the projects, but it seems that I missed something. Advice to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Paul,

This sounds like a classic mismatch between your images and your sequence.

The configuration of your sequence is (4:3) NTSC DV Standard? If this isn't the case, once imported, one of your VOB simply drag to the new icon to create a corresponding sequence. Then the Clips should complete frame of the sequence.

Good luck

  • Couldn't able to reduce the size of the image while storing in the report

    Hi friends,

    Im trying to save the image in my table, so that these are the steps that I follow...

    First, I created a table:
    CREATE TABLE "A_IMAGES"
    (
    "IMAGE_ID" NUMBER(10,0) NOT NULL ENABLE,
    "FILE_NAME" VARCHAR2(4000) NOT NULL ENABLE,
    "BLOB_CONTENT" BLOB,
    "MIME_TYPE" VARCHAR2(4000),
    CONSTRAINT "A_IMAGES_PK" PRIMARY KEY ("IMAGE_ID") ENABLE
    )
    After this sequence, relaxation and the procedure,.

    Let me show you the procedure
    create or replace PROCEDURE "DISPLAY_IMAGE"
    (
    inID NUMBER
    )
    AS
    vMIME VARCHAR2(48);
    vLENGTH NUMBER;
    vFILENAME VARCHAR2(2000);
    vBLOB BLOB;
    BEGIN
    SELECT MIME_TYPE, BLOB_CONTENT, FILE_NAME, DBMS_LOB.GETLENGTH(BLOB_CONTENT)
    INTO vMIME, vBLOB, vFILENAME, vLENGTH
    FROM A_IMAGES
    WHERE IMAGE_ID = inID;
    owa_util.mime_header(nvl(vMIME, 'application/octet'), FALSE);
    htp.p('Content-length: ' || vLENGTH);
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    wpg_docload.download_file(vBLOB);
    END;
    Everything worked fine, but the following error occurs when im trying to insert an image into a table with a browse button.
    ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or value error: character of number conversion error
    The error above if I include the following line in the source code of my region report...
    ' < img src = "#OWNER #." DISPLAY_IMAGE? inID =' | NVL (IMAGE_ID, 0) | "" height = "50" width = "50" / > "IMAGE
    mainly, I added the above line in my source region only query for the image (size setting)...

    If I give the report source region coding as the means below, it works like a charm
    :)
    SELECT FILE_NAME,IMAGE_ID,
    dbms_lob.getlength("BLOB_CONTENT") "IMAGE"
    FROM A_IMAGES
    ORDER BY FILE_NAME
    But what is the problem with the above code means, as he worked successfully and I can also see the images in the report, but each image is looking too big...

    In order to reduce the size of the image that I gave this line,
    ' < img src = "#OWNER #." DISPLAY_IMAGE? inID =' | NVL (IMAGE_ID, 0) | "'" height = "50" width = "50" / > ' IMAGE
    but if I gave ways online, error is occurring as the image does not store in a size appropriate for the table...

    But there, I noticed one thing,

    dbms_lob.getlength ("BLOB_CONTENT") 'IMAGE' is normally in a type of NUMBER , and it works very well...

    But instead of dbms_lob.getlength("BLOB_CONTENT") 'IMAGE', if I replaced it with *' < img src = "#OWNER #." DISPLAY_IMAGE? inID =' | NVL (IMAGE_ID, 0) | ' ' ' height = '50' * width = "50" / > ' IMAGE means, it is converted to a string...

    I think mainly for that alone, it's show error...

    How to rectify this problem friends...

    I created a new page 3 which shows how to use the CSS (in the header HTML page) to control the scaling of the images displayed in the reports using BLOB support declarative.

    However, you really need to use generated thumbnails to the right size instead of scaling of the images in the browser. If the images used in your demo are for guidance, so they are waaayyyy too big to use in this scenario. This just kill performance on your web server and database and unnecessarily consume massive amounts of band network bandwidth. Your DBA, system administrators, ISPS and users will be very unhappy.

  • Size of the image in LR

    Is it possible to see the size of an image in millimeters in the room light? I can see that the size of the image in pixels in the metadata so is possible to change this? Of course, I can move the image to Photoshop to see the size of the image.

    Digital photos do not have a length in millimeters or inches. Only, they are measured in pixels. If Lightroom does not report millimeters or inches.

    Prints can be measured in millimeters or inches.

    In Photoshop, the inches or millimeters shown is a hypothesis that you want to print to a specific ppi, when in fact there is a large number of PPI values you can print, even while the Photoshop numbers are meaningless, you can still print the picture to a different size.

  • You are looking for an extension in order to reduce the size of the image

    I often need to reduce the size of the screenshots. Looking for an extension that would allow me to do this in Photos, without the need to export, and then import them back. It's a simple task, but I could not find a way to solve this problem. There are many applications with extensions that allow cropping images, but the apps/extensions similarly dedicated screenshot cannot reduce the size.

    The feature I need, it's essentially the only preview offers under the menu set the size as a percentage or in pixels change. Special bonus for an app/extension that would work also on the pictures for iOS.

    This is not possible - you can never make any change to the contents of the library - the only way to reduce the size of the image is by exporting using different size options in the window export

    You can use a preview an external editor with external publishers for extension of pictures - I have no idea of what would be the results with that

  • Size of the image in the quiz?

    I have pictures of 1028 x 768 and drop them as part of image in the quiz questions. A part of the image presented in the cross-slot and generally that it's Ok. But sometimes the image cannot be used as the required detail is not displayed. Is the size of the image better and has everyone optimized this feature?

    Hi kenfromUK,

    The resources below explains an option for your photos.  The mask tool will allow you to choose which part of the image you want to see the image.

    iBooks author: Add and edit photos and other images

    Mask (crop) photo

    You can crop photos without changing the original image by masking the edges to hide the unwanted parts.

    1. Select the picture you want to hide.

    2. Do one of the following:

      • Hide the picture with a rectangle shape: click the button mask in the bar of the formats. If the format bar is not visible, choose View > show the Format bar.

      • Hide the picture with a form: choose Format > Image > mask with shape > shape.

    3. Do one of the following:

      • Resize the photo: drag the cursor over the button Edit mask.

      • Reposition the photo in the frame: drag the photo.

      • Move the mask: drag the edge of the mask dotted.

      • Resize the mask: drag the selection handles on the edge of the mask dotted. To constrain the proportions of the mask, hold down the SHIFT key when you drag.

      • Rotate the mask: hold down the command key when you drag a selection of angle on the master handle.

    4. When you are satisfied with the position and the size of your picture and the mask, do one of the following ways to complete:

      • Double-click the mask or the photo.

      • Press return.

      • Click outside the photo.

      • Click the input mask.

    To remove the mask of the photo, choose Format > Image > unmask.

    Hope that helps...

    randy1945 wrote: I am using the Windows 7 system, but the options of three (3) has not helped. They were showing - Taskbar & Menu start - accessibility.

    Hello randy1945, I'm sorry. I forgot a very important step. Trying to recall this memory.

    When you get to the screen that displays the three options you mention, click on the background to the right of these options at the bottom of the screen.

    This should provide another option to the screen where you can click on the Position of the image. This is where you can change the position of the wallpaper on the screen.

  • What is the size of the image used to render the list (for list image rendering)?

    Hello!

    Can u please tell me, what is the size of the image used to represent the listItem. I used the size 40 x 40 for listitems, but the listitem be merged with another. Image will not be rendered with the size (actual size).

    PLS, suggest me-

    ListIField generally uses a height up to the police on the storm no devices. The storm, it has a fixed size greater than the height of the font.

    If you want to draw a picture of 40 x 40, you need minimum height of 40px. Call setRowHeight (40) in the constructor of the listfield.

  • size of the image file

    Hi all

    I have an application that includes the photo module. I use under encoding settings:

    String encoding = "encoding = jpeg & width = 1024 & height = 768 & quality = normal;

    The problem is the image size. For the same scene when I use 9780 it is approximately 350KB for 9800, it is only 80KB. Can someone please explain the reason for this difference?

    Y at - it no additional or other adjustment means that I can use to reduce the size of the file for 9780? (physical size 1024 * 768 should not be changed).

    Thank you.

    Could not find any additional setting. I used the method to reduce the image quality and therefore the size of the image file without changing the resolution of the image below.

    JPEGEncodedImage.encode (bitmap, QUALITY);

    Is there another solution to resize image on the surface RT?

    If you right click on an image or a sound file, you can see the size under properties. Resizing of until you try to send. There are many programs that can do this. I use to resize the pictures as soon as I download from my camera. A very simple freeware program.

  • Pixelation when scaled to "scale to the size of the image?

    Hey all,.

    When I put a clip from 4 k to 'adapt to the size of the image' on a timeline of 1080 p and then it swings a bit, are there any negative pixelation/aliasing occurring as opposed to simply scaling the 4 k clip to the timeline 1080?

    In my view, that it is impossible to discern, but I was wondering if I do something wrong in my workflow.

    Thank you!

    Yes, "Scale to frame size" is destructive. If you open the effect controls panel and look at the scale parameter that you choose this option, you will see that the setting remains at "100" means that your newly reduced film is now 100% and everything above that will cause the loss of resolution.

    What you want is the much better "to the image size" option just below (in the context menu), which will scale your footage to 50%, in order to preserve your goodness in 4 K.

  • Scale to the size of the image

    So I see that if I set the scale to the size of the image it dimensionnera my clips on import and I lose the high resolution... Sucks a bit

    Is in any way at all to the scale of the element when importing to the timeline? Final assembly used to do this, and it was awesome...

    I work with mixed 1080 p and 4 K images... So we are mastering 1080 p and whenever I shoot a clip of 4K I have to manually resize 50%

    Is it possible to automate this scale to 50%? The main reason I want to do with scale is some of the 4K clips that we have planned for crop... If default scale to the size of the frame that will mess up...

    Really surprised there is no easy way to do... I must be missing something...

    There is a way easier to do, but still not as easy as it should be.

    You can do a right click on the elements in the sequence and choose SETTING to the size of the image.  This will allow full resolution cropping.

    Be nice, if we didn't have that as a general preference, along the scale of intelligence.

  • Default scale to the size of the image in 2015 CC

    Other issues on this subject come from 2012.  I use CC 2015.  I have preferences - default scale of size of frame check box. He has always worked in this project.  I thought that this meant simply that when you cut large images in the timeline, they automatically adjust to the size of the current image of the project. I've done several times before, and I can resize images - zoom - without loss of quality.   All of a sudden when I'm cutting the large images (JPEG, etcl) in the timeline with this project that's making them huge in the Progam monitor.  Am I missing something?

    Thank you

    Patrice

    and I can resize images - zoom - without loss of quality.

    Unfortunately this is not true. When you use default scale to the size of the image the image is set to 100%. Which means that when (zoom) amplify it exceeds 100%, resulting in a loss of quality.

    Select all of the images on the timeline, right-click and press Set to the size of the image.

    It suits them also in the chassis, but according to their original format.

    When you zoom in there is no loss (until you reach 100%).
