size real hdd s3360 pavillion

Anyone know if the HDD in the HP Pavilion slimline 3360 is 2.5 or 3.5 inches? (I understand that it is in general 3.5 "in a desktop computer, but that is the case in versions slimline so?)

Hello:

It's a standard 3.5 "desktop hard drive.

You can see it on the photo on the page of the form below product.

  • Update size of HDD for old Compaq Presario V5000

I have a Compaq Presario V5000 older n/p ET826UA #ABA that uses a Toshiba MK8025GAS 80 GB hard drive. The laptop is in perfect condition and I'm still very happy with it except disk space HARD is a bit cramped these days.

Could someone offer manufacturer part numbers that are compatible with this laptop that would allow me to increase the storage space of HARD drive to something more as big as in the range of 250-320 GB? I'm hoping to find something of surplus for a reasonable price.

I found online of many HARD drives that seem to agree, but have doubts about the requirements of the serial interface. The OEM drive is spec'd like an ATA-6 but was not sure if a disk ATA-7 or 8 - ATA / SATA-8 would be backward compatible for this older HD laptop chipset.

The other question is what is the largest size HDD I can go to without having to change the BIOS. Any help on these questions would be appreciated.

It's an IDE (PATA) hard drive. The Radeon Xpress 200 M chipset will support hard drives LBA that is 160 GB or more if you are only constrained by the market and not by the material. However, the market is a constraint as the price for the IDE drives laptop received top ridiculous as supply decreases. I suggest a seller on eBay with solid feedback. You will have difficulty finding something bigger than a 320 gig and more chance to find 160 gig drives. 500 gig PATA drives have been made, but no one is loose Cup of them. ATA - 6 is also fast had real IDE drives. Make sure that you do not get a SATA drive more modern with plastic connectors. Your will have a double row of pins in brass for the connection. You can speed things up a bit by finding at least a 5400 RPM spin speed. Yours is 4200 that is very pokey according to current standards. If you play your cards right there's even a 7200 RPM PATA drives to circulate there.

    Just a suggestion.

  • What is the maximum size of HDD compatible on Satellite A300 PSAG4A-02M00M

I was wondering if anyone can tell me the maximum size of hard drive that can handle a PSAG4A-02M00M and max running at 5400 RPM, (because I don't want it to be slower than that).

And what specifications for disk replacement? (IDE, etc.)

    Thank you

    Hello

As far as I know the laptop supports the SATA HDD controller and you must use a SATA 2.5 HARD.

You should be able to use any HDD SATA controller SATA HDD is not limited to any size. I think that the BIOS should also support a 320 GB HARD drive or more

    Hope this might help you

  • block size / real-time

    Hello

I know that some of you have already had this kind of problem, and I tried to solve the mine with your solutions, but it work yet... My problem is the following: I have to stop acquisition with a global variable of pre-definied. At the beginning of the program to choose the acquisition (in second) time, thanks to the action module. Then begins as and when the program notice a variation of the input (defined), he begins to write values to a folder and save the data.

After the relay module, I put a module based on the time and choose "measurement in second time. The statistical module take the max and min and then do a subtraction (max - min) to get the real acquisition time (which begins with the combi-relaxation). I use the formula In (0) > global variable (pre-definied) and then an action that stops the measurement when the variable global (acquisition time) is more than.

I want to have 2 seconds of time of acquisition, but the routine often stops around s 2.047, but is not specific enough (with the size (512) to block automatically to 1000 Hz)... So, I tried to change the basics of time for block size = 1 and sample rate = 1000 (for all: driver, dasylab and acquisition card). But now the acquisition time doesn't seem to match with the real time...!

    For more information, I use:

    USB 1608G (MCC - DRV)

    DASYLab 12 (evaluation version).

If you have an idea of what I need to do... An accuracy of 1 ms would be great (as a block size of 1 with sampling frequency of 1000 Hz...)

I joined the worsheeet below for a better understanding.

If it could be useful to others... (Fortunately ^^) I found the solution!

I used the Basic module of time, I chose "time of day" and then, I put the module 'statistics statistical values' and I take the max, min. After that, I put an arithmetic module and "max - min".

I hope it's ok, but it looks like the right way to find what I was looking for...

Now, all laptops use SATA HDD so you can install the biggest HARD drive available on the market now, which is 1 TB but much 1 TB HDD' are a little thicker than others, so you need to look for the right like this (only 9.5 mm thick):

  • Size Max HDD satellite M30

    Hi all

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite M30 laptop with a defective HARD drive, I m wondering what is the maximum size that I can put in this thing, I have a 250 GB drive, I can use, but don't know if he will be able to set the player in its actual size

On this old laptop model you can only use hard drives with IDE connector, and as Akuma have already written, there is limitation of 128 GB so I recommend you buy 100 GB IDE HARD drive and I think he will be OK for this older model laptop.

  • The maximum size of HDD for Satellite Pro 6000?

Hi, I am trying to install a 60 GB hard drive, but it is shaped, and it stops at the instalation of Windows XP Pro.

Is there a size limit of HD?

    Thank you
    Ronaldo

    Hello

It stops without any error message? If this isn't the case, then try another copy of Windows XP since the Satellite Pro 6000 shouldn´t have problems with this drive. I had 2 years a similar machine and I also got a 60 GB Toshiba HARD drive installed. It worked like a charm, so I can't imagine that the hard drive could be the problem.

    See you soon

  • What is a maximum size of HDD for Satellite Pro 2100?

I want to improve my aging Satellite Pro 2100 (PS210E-00C3G-GR) with a new hard drive. The BIOS supports more than 120 GB drives?
    Thanks in advance!

Hmm. 120 GB HARD DRIVE? I don t think so. But this is only my personal opinion.
To my knowledge, the Pro 2100 was equipped with 30 GB HARD drive.

I think that the 60GB is a realistic size and could be seen by the BIOS.

In any case, I didn't find any official Toshiba information support max sizes of HARD drive and I imagine that you must test the HARD drive.

  • Satellite A30 504 - maximum size of HDD - 160 GB work?

    Hi guys,.

I have a good old A30-504, and the 40 GB HARD drive died a few days ago... I had to buy a new one, but the smallest I can get is 120 GB or 160 GB.
    (Samsung HM121HC or HM160HC)

It will work on my laptop or should I choose a 40 to 80 GB one second-hand?

    Kind regards

    Zoltan

    Hello

All depends on your HARD disk controller.
If the HARD disk controller supports only 28-bit LBA then your could use max 120 GB HDD.
If your HARD disk controller supports 48-bit LBA, you can then use more big hard drives.

The ATA-6 defines Ultra DMA/100 (also called Ultra DMA mode 5 or Ultra-ATA100) and it supports 48-bit LBA.
ATA - 5 and lower versions support only 28-bit LBA.

  • The maximum size of HDD to HP 8510

    Hello

I just bought a 8510p on sale at auction and wanmt to upgrade to 120 GB to 750 GB HARD drive.

Can Nyone you tell me if the 8510p can deal with a disk this size?

If she cannot what is the maximum size that can be installed?

    Thank you very much

    Cameron

    Hello

Based on the following specifications, it uses the HARD (probably SATA II) SATA drive so you can use the largest (HARD drive capacity). A 750 GB at 7200 RPM will be very nice for this machine:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&TaskID=120&prodSeriesId=3355678&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3355678&ObjectID=c01053958

You may need to update the BIOS of the machine:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?cc=us&prodNameId=3355680&prodSeriesId=3355678&swLang=13&TaskID=135&swEnvOID=1093

    Good luck.

  • My file has plenty of empty space 'outside' of the work plan that I can't get rid of? How to crop the file to the artboard size real?

    Screen Shot 2016-02-12 at 1.05.55 PM.png

Above is my plan of work and space to work, but when I try to resize the image (or save it in jpeg format to show the problem I have) there is a ton of white space outside the artboard and the crop tool and two work plan tool say that my file is not as large as the size above , but its been as big as the screenshot below.

    Screen Shot 2016-02-12 at 1.05.57 PM.png

I can't find anyone else having this problem. Am I the only one? How can I solve this problem? It is to be a huge problem for web design. And he did it for all of my projects as web design he updated to have work plans.

    Hi Nicole,.

I'm sure that it is a problem that we followed. We have not addressed it yet, but it's on our list of things to fix.

Plan of work documents have a canvas in auto-expand; This is part of the user experience, which gives a feeling of infinite to the document; You can place things anywhere in the view, and they should remain visible no matter where you drag. In order to maintain this illusion, paint us the entire surface to mate with the same color outside work plans.

Hide us this canvas from you, even if it's still there. You can see how big it is at any time by choosing "Image > canvas... size. ». That size will change as things move around, getting bigger and smaller than necessary. The hidden canvas size will break to the next more or less 'limit of diamonds", which is nominally in increments of 1024 pixels. This is done for performance.

The problem is that the export code is really not updated as the work plans can develop and reduce the canvas. When you export a document of work plan, it looks at the current size of the Web and uses only. That's why you get that extra white space. This extra space problem happens also for other things, like thumbnails of document. We agree it's pretty boring, and as I said, it's on our list to fix.

    Try this workaround:

    1. download your ready to export document.

    2. in the work plan tool, select the gear icon (top tool bar, far right) and uncheck auto-size canvas

    3. Select the Rectangle tool and cover the artboard from edge to edge. (Snap allows here)

    4. Select the crop option. This can reduce the canvas to just the boundaries of the artboard.

5 export under..., choose your format, for example PNG. and export.

    6. don't check any extra white space.

Note that "Web auto-size" is a property of document-sticky and is saved with the document.

  • Possible to convert vmdk to real HDD?

    Hi all

I have set up an installation of kubuntu 10.04 on my laptop just now and that you have customized, have all my development toolchains installed etc and set up but I would now move to a real virtual hard disk to a hard drive or rather partition.

    I use workstation 7 on windows 7 x 64.

I was counting on the creation of a 30 GB ext4 partition that will only serve the hard drive for the virtual machine of kubuntu.

but of course, I don't want to put everything again. so is it possible to have the kind of workstation to move the entire virtual machine in this new, real partition? or clone the whole to the partition vmdk, somehow so I can essentially remove the vmdk (and win those 30 GB back) and the whole system is run from the actual partition?

Yes - you can use vmware - vdiskmanager.exe

before use - stop the virtual machine.

Open the vmx file used by this virtual machine and find correct filename used right now.

    This may look like

    ide0:0. FileName = "my vmdk.vmdk."

    or

    scsi0:0. FileName = "my vmdk.vmdk."

Once you have this file name open a cmd and change directory where you have installed workstation.

    Type

    VMware-vdiskmanager

    This should popup help.

    Then type

    vmware-vdiskmanager -r "C:\path to my VM\my-vmdk.vmdk" -t 3 "C:\path to my VM\preallocated.vmdk"

This copierait the vmdk existing in a new growable preallocated vmdk divided in 2 GB chunks. Type works well and it is easier to keep unfragmented then one-piece preallocated type.

Good to hear you change your mind

  • The maximum size of the HDD in Portege A100

My hard drive 40 Gb in my Portege A100 age of 3 years. just died. I was wondering how big a hard drive to buy while it will be recognized by the BIOS?

Someone in the internet used a 60 GB HARD drive in the Portege A100 and it worked.
Maybe a 80 GB is possible, but there is no statement official on the size of HDD supported and compatible.

The best way is to test different sizes with a distributor of HARD drive.
Thanks for posting a comment after the HARD drive test
